Limited, substantial product line, excellent pricing. Maybe, like me, you’ve driven by this nondescript Grand Avenue business year after year and it appeared very still and quiet. The heart beat on. In 2009, Doug Neece began reinvigorating this acre business displaying concrete pipe, pre-cast tables and benches, planters of various sizes and colors and historical markers. I met him this afternoon and got a personal tour. First — Neece offers Pull and Pour Do it Yourself concrete — ½ to ¾ yard of concrete in a rotating drum towed by the handy person to their job site. Second — I’m learning to assemble landscape plans and help build the result. When the result’s done, I don’t want the Landscape Committee of our fair townhome hanging me from one of the older trees. My friend Bill said landscape units need focal points. Neece Pre-cast has potential focal point candidates. They also have a nice selection of heavy pre-cast tables we could use in the former kiddie play yard. If the Committee decides to hang me, Doug offers a nice selection of memorial benches, complete with brass plaque. I’ve wanted to stop here for years, but never took time. I cruised the web looking for giant pots, woks, tubes, tubs, planters, pedestals, scuppers and splash blocks. I checked web-visible prices, then went to Neece. He may not have scuppers and splash blocks, Tuscan and Sonoma. He has a nice selection of planters that will focus most landscape units nicely. Add real or steel plants, and those drab gravel expenses get downtown and architectural. Independently investigate the truth yourself. You may be pleasantly surprised.
