DISCOUNTPRICES. DISCOUNTSERVICE. YOUGETWHATYOUPAYFOR. EXPERIENCE: I went to PCS today because my completely empty 4-door sedan was filthy inside & out but I didn’t want to pay premium prices at a dealership, etc. When I pulled under the carport, the attendant kept trying to up sell me at every point. I’m polite enough and strong enough to put my foot down, but all his talking kept me from reading the menu on the far wall. Finally, I said, «I just need my entire interior cleaned and detailed because it’s filthy, and I need my exterior cleaned but not detailed.» He said that for $ 99 I could get that plus they’d throw in a FREE exterior wash. With tax it was $ 101 and I was expecting to be impressed. WASTEOFTIME: The estimated wait time was 1.0 to 1.5 hours, so at 2 hours, I went inside to ask the clerk if my car was ready. She responded, «You’ve been here? I was waiting for you to come inside and get your keys.» No one ever told me that my car would be parked behind the storefront out of sight from where I was patiently waiting on a bench with other customers. POORSERVICE/RIDICULOUS PACKAGES/WAST OFMONEY: When I got home, I realized that, even though they washed my upholstered parts, whole sections of my interior had not been touched. This included the dashboard, the back«dashboard» where the speakers are located, sun visors(with little mirrors), and most other non-upholstered surfaces. Additionally, I left my empty glove compartment open for them to clean and they didn’t even clean it; they just shut it closed with the grime still inside. So, I completed the detailing myself at home in my building’s parking lot. As I walked away from my car, I saw the same olé’ dirty black drips on the back end of my vehicle that were there when I arrived at PCS. I licked my finger and went over the drips, wanting to see if it was sticky or permanent.(Was it tar?) It came right up… with my saliva??? What kind of car wash do they use?(Mists of Avalon sensitive skin?) Finally, I looked at my receipt and could see that their«packages», including the Complete Interior one I paid for, don’t make common sense. Why would you only get pieces and parts of your interior car cleaned as per each package… and then pay for the mislabeled COMPLETEINTERIOR package… and for $ 100??? Really, they only deserved/earned about $ 50 in total. Whatever happened to just cleaning the entire interior and washing the exterior like I asked? I guess b/c they’re calling it a «spa» they charge a la carte and, compounding the problem, the male attendant doesn’t listen. I won’t be going back. Next time, I’ll just pay the premium prices at a «real» auto detailing place… or maybe, this time next year, I’ll be in a house and can do it myself.
