Paul stopped by and offered to do our lawn on Friday during the long July 4^th weekend, just prior to the city’s bulk waste pickup on Monday.
He asked us if he could come back the next day, and we said sure… he came back, parked his trailer on our property, and disappeared. The follow day, he showed (three hours late) up with a crew, didn’t start the work, said he’d be back in an hour… and we didn’t hear from him for 4 days.
At that point, he’d missed the bulk waste pickup, and agreed to haul the waste away. Finally, after nearly a week, he begins to trim our tree. Improperly. They broke off half of a heavy branch, below the collar, and flush with the trunk of the tree. This will allow fungi to invade, and may eventually kill this nice, 70 year old tree.
After 30 minutes of improper pruning, they disappeared, leaving a mountain of large branches all over our front lawn. That was four days ago, and we have not seen or heard from him since. He’s been paid, and will never complete the work, but he’s great at making excuses.
