My Wife and I are big fans of stand-up. We we able to see this place for the first time last night. Our biggest question, when leaving, was .“How have we missed this place in the Valley?” What an outstanding top-notch facility. The place was clean and sharp. As the comics were great, it showed a comedy club does not have to be a crowded dingy dump. We will be sure to make sure we show this place off to our out-of-town guests again and again. Looking forward to seeing future talent in this wonderful setting.

The atmosphere was amazing! Loved it! We saw Bret last night and he was super funny. If you get there early you will get great seats. The stage is elevated so no matter where you sit you’ll be able to see. The staff is super friendly.

Found this place about a year ago and my girlfriend and I love coming back. The comedians they bring in are awesome, but what we love most are the Tuesday nights. We love bringing our friends and enjoying great drinks and great food with great laughs !

Great place! Went last night and had the best time. The comedians were so funny. Way funnier than the super famous ones i see at stand up live. Leonard Ouzts and Willie had us cracking up. The service was amazing as well. Can’t wait to come back.

Rick was vey funny. However the show was quickly ruined by a couple drunk idiots who the comedians continually stopped address. If the issue is that bad, which it was, the club needs to do something about the people ruining the show

I had the opportunity to attend a comedy show on New Years Eve with two of my close friends, and it was the best way to ring in 2016! The venue was stellar, the staff was helpful, the food was delicious, and the comedians were hilarious. I will definitely be back! I recommend the House of Comedy to anyone who wants to have a good time.

This place is awesome. Went there on Sunday to watch Piffs final show. Rick and his team make the house of comedy something special. The Tempe improve is nothing compared to the House of Comedy. Oh and one other thing that’s cool about this place. If you have a problem you can address it right there and you can be assured it will be handled. Rick the owner is always there to make sure things go without an hitch.

First and last time to this comedy club. It appeared great in the beginning, did enjoy our seating and Piff the magic dragon was funny. This place is way under wait staffed. Waited 30 minutes for our first drinks. Then placed a food order some time after that, over an hour later it arrived. Half the order was not correct and bit into my chicken sandwich and was undercooked. Apparently no dinner for me that night. Server and manager were apolgetic and ask if I wanted something else, keep in mind about 20mins of show remained. I said nothing more for me, he gave us free tickets for the trouble. I gave them to people sitting next to us, we won’t be back!

Hey said they offer no VIP seating and to show up early for best seats, yet half the place was reserved. Service was AWEFUL! Waited 28 min for first drink and another 25 min for second! There are better comedy clubs! Heck, you could drive from Scottsdale to Tempe and get drinks faster! Can I rate 0 stars?

I would have rated this a five because the performance was top notch; but I was annoyed that they forced us to sit at the very front on the side, even though only 10 people arrived before us. I explained I did not need to be «up front» but would prefer a little further back in the middle. The gentleman very politely explained their policy was to always seat the front sections first. He suggested I could always go back to the bar to wait until the venue filled up more and then come back. But my husband and I wanted to order dinner then, so we sat up front. Overall the rest of the experience was positive. The bar, called«The Heckler» was colorful, clean and the service was friendly. I enjoyed a Pinot noir and my husband had a beer. The club was intimate. A good size for a comedy club. The food was average, but as my husband reminded me, we came for the entertainment, not a gourmet meal. We ordered the crab/artichoke/spinach dip which was tasty. My husband had the mighty meat flatbread and I enjoyed the Mediterranean salad. Both average in taste and price. Service was very good. The«Professional Regurgitator» was phenomenal! Kept us on the edge of our seat for an hour! We had a wonderful evening and look forward to attending future comedy shows real soon. Our second trip was terrific! The headline comic, Ron Little had us laughing hysterically! He was so adept at engaging with the audience and artfully delivering extremely funny material throughout his banter. Very clever; down to earth; relatable; rarely offensive… PG rated. Great show! Will definitely return and bring more neighbors! Hope many more people discover this Comedy club so it remains for many years to come.

My husband and I went out with a group of friends and saw @godfreycomedian. The entire show was amazing! It started off with @therickbronson doing a stand up routine. He interacted with the crowd. Then there were 2 other opening acts before the headliner. The food and drinks were affordable and no minimum purchase like the other comedy clubs in the Valley. Tickets are $ 20 each which is an affordable date night. We will definitely keep an eye on the website for upcoming shows and will come back.

After going to multiple comedy places, I was given promotional tickets to come check out this place on High Street. Having the day off I thought«why not?» And decided to head out for a nice Wednesday evening. First of all, the area it’s in is gorgeous. A great place to get dinner and a drink and see a show. Prime piece of real estate. We showed up a half an hour early to get settled, order some food and check out the vibe. The ushers/ticket takers/waitress weren’t all the friendly. Like, at all. I asked if these tickets were valid for tonight since they weren’t marked with a month or day where it’s supposed to be specified on the ticket. His answer was«give them to me, follow that guy.» What excellent people skills that one had. And I mean, they weren’t busy seating us. There had to be no more than 25 people in the venue by the time our show started. Maybe 7 people seated before us. Our waitress sighed when we asked if anything is on special and the only people working that seemed friendly were the people being paid to be funny. THAT is the reason for 3 out of 5 stars. Other than that, the food was great and really affordable unlike some comedy clubs. The drinks were cheap and they had craft beer which is a plus. The comedians were fluid and I like they they all were able to draw in the crowd in their own style as comedians should! I laughed quite a bit during the show. Maybe I’ll come back one day, but I don’t like attending venues where I feel like I’m bugging people to do their jobs. If you don’t like where you work, work somewhere else. Customer service can make or break these venues. I mean, I can drink beer, eat pizza and watch Netflix standup for a lot cheaper.

The comedian we went to see was hilarious and vulgar which is how I like my comedians. The drinks were to die for(I sampled many), the bathrooms were clean, the staff was hot enough to possibly make me a stalker and earn me a restraining order… I’m just saying. Then again it could have been all the booze I was sampling. I could return to act like a creeper and have one of those sober«OHMYDAMN» moments. And not a good«oh my damn you’re so hot I’m gonna snatch you into the trunk of my car and keep you» moments, but an «oh my damn poor child I didn’t know Quasimodo had a brother» moments. Moving on… the food was delicious and I pretty much tried the whole menu almost. I was a party of 12+ people and we all ordered something different and shared with each other. Everything sampled was delicious and service was speedy. I personally believed the prices to be reasonable and I think the food was even being served at happy hour prices. Now the only down side to the place is a few things. First is they don’t permit you to slap other customers, trust me I asked and they said no. Too bad because there were a few women in the audience getting on my nerves and it seemed like they went there with the intent to ruin everyone else’s good time and the party I was with noticed it too. Funny thing is they weren’t even there together! They just kept making comments like«omg that’s ridiculous» and I had to listen to them on both sides of me bitching and whining the whole show about all 3 acts, about their drinks, about everything. Well ladies it’s a comedy club and most comedians push the boundaries and talk about uncomfortable things. What F**king rock were you both living under that you’ve never seen a comedy show do the same stuff? I’ve been to many comedy shows all over Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Las Vegas, and Boston and guess what it’s all the same. My suggestion if you’re one of those people that needs your stick surgically removed from your ass, do the rest of the paying customers a favor and stay home and quit ruining our good vibes. And if you must show up might the Dr Recommend one shot of vodka every 10 mins until that stick just glides right out of your ass on its own. Another down side is they are just not busy. I’m really afraid they’ll close down which sucks because I like it there. But I’ve tended to notice that ever since City North opened up it has never been that busy. I’ve witnessed so many places come and go in that plaza because they never advertise that entire area. I would never even know about it if it’s wasn’t for the fact my friend use to work in the City North plaza. Something has to be done to bring more people in.

Me and my buddies decided to come down here tonight to watch Nick DiPaolo. He is my favorite comedian out there right now(has been for awhile now), and just so happened to be performing here for a few nights. We got tickets to the 7:30 show on Friday March 27th. We headed on down, parked across the street(free) and walked on over. We got there pretty early, so we were seated right up front next to the stage. The seating here is a few rows of long tables. Seats were right next to each other but I never felt like I couldn’t move or stretch out my legs etc. Some other clubs I have been to, you are packed in so tight, you can’t even sit and enjoy yourself. Not here… the club was pretty spacious. It also helped that the place was only about 1⁄3 full for this early show. Once we got settled, we ordered some food and drinks and were ready to get the night started! My buddy and I split an appetizer platter which came with some type of South West egg rolls, taquitos, 4 chicken wings, some bacon wrapped meat item and tons of fries. It was like $ 20.00. It was plenty big and we didn’t finish all the fries. My brother in law got a BBQ chicken flatbread pizza type thing and his buddy ordered a salad. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food. Maybe not the best food ever, but still pretty good. I had a Coke to drink and the other guys ordered some beer and Captain and Cokes. Drinks were a bit steep,($ 2.50 for a Coke… no refills, and around $ 15.00 for a double Captain and Coke) but considering you are in a comedy club, they weren’t that outrageous I guess. Our server was incredibly friendly, on top of everything and provided great service throughout the night. My brother in laws buddy picked up the tab which was awesome! Before the comedians came on, they had a magician walking through the crowd showing different tables some tricks. He pulled off 3 magic tricks for us at our table and they were very impressive. I have no idea how the hell he did them and he was like a foot in front of me and I was watching him pretty well. He was awesome! It was a great start to the night! This is probably the only beef I had with this club… Before the comics started, they show a little video of some comedy clips from movies, and a little Arizona themed video. It was pretty cool but the speakers they have during this portion were way way way way too loud. I don’t know if it was because we were up front and right under them or what? Whatever the case, my ears started ringing and it was super annoying. Please turn down the volume on those videos. There is absolutely no need for it to be that loud. Thank you ;-). The comics were amazing. The host comic had some decent jokes. The first comic, Charlie Speez, had some funny ass jokes too. He did one about a «subscription to Source magazine» which might have been the joke of the night. He was legit! And then of course, the reason we were there… Nick DiPaolo! I have waited probably 15 years to see this guy live, and tonight was the night. If you have never listened to him before, please go do so immediately. By far, the best stand up show I have ever seen! He did at least an hour and it was non stop laughs. He is the best there is! The best part of the night was after the show. He was hanging out, and we got to meet him and get a picture with him. It meant a lot and I told him why. Yesterday, March 27th was the anniversary of the day my dad passed away. I had some rough times the few years after it happened. Nick’s CDs were one of the things that got me through that time. If I was ever sad and needed a laugh, I would throw on «Born This Way» or «Road Rage» and it would make me forget about being sad, and let me laugh for a bit and cheer me up. I told him this little story and it seemed like he was truly humbled by it. Shook his hand and we were on our way. Couldn’t have asked for a better night!
