I was in a dark place before I came here. Great atmosphere. It’s everything you can ask for in a pub. They have live bands almost every night. Good selections of import drinks. Friendly staff, always ask Marcy for service. Also, have an awesome patio for the smokers. I felt like a leprechaun running through green fields tickling me balls by the end of the night! Definitely recommend for a fun night.

Just left this place, sat on the patio since my friend had her pup with her. We had to go to the bar to get our drinks and a menu, 30 minutes later and no waitress we went in and asked for the third time why we hadn’t had anyone come to our table. Once we did get a server we ordered the appetizer– decent food hence the two stars. Service was poor– spent way too long there. After the 15 minutes we waited and decided we should just get our own drinks is when we should have left…

I’ve visited Rosie McCaffrey’s twice. This last time for lunch. The place was rather empty during the lunch hour. I brought my kids for lunch with me since it was during their Spring Break and thought they would enjoy a little pub lunch. The restaurant is in a convenient location so I thought why not? I enjoy the décor of the restaurant although it is a bit dark. They just updated their new menu. Their old menu was still online. I noticed that they increased pricing and they also made their menu a bit more generic and less Irish-style cuisine. After placing our order, we proceeded to wait over 30 minutes which was unacceptable. The server was kind enough to change the TV programming for us but waiting over 30 minutes with kids doesn’t work. My kids ordered the mac and cheese from the kids menu and the meal for $ 6 was not a good value. It tasted fine but my 11 year old son proceeded to polish it off in 2 minutes. And he’s a small kid! I order the strawberry and spinach salad. This was pretty decent salad although for $ 11, it was a pretty small salad. I liked the idea of having a pub lunch at an Irish restaurant but I’m afraid there are better choices that offer authentic and better food, a livelier setting, and more reasonable pricing. Kind of disappointing since it is a convenient location.

I have always loved this place, but went there for lunch today with coworkers and the staff said that they changed their menu… well not for the better in my opinion. My «McCaffrey’s Burger» was super dry and super salty. I asked for a «medium» and got a «well done», almost burnt burger. I definitely expected more being that the burger cost $ 14! My friend got the«Margarita Flatbread», but that came out about 10 – 15 min after everyone got their food, it was obvious that our sever forgot to ring in the item. When it finally came out it wasn’t a flatbread at all, but a 12″ pizza(a pizza that really only had sauce on it with circles of cheese and looked like a 5 year old made it). Was planning on spending St. Patty’s Day here, but I’ll start looking for alternatives now.

A very good well known Irish Restaurant has gone down hill. Their service and food is not what it used to be. Came here for the their famous Corn Beef and Cabbage and Shepherds Pie. The corn beef was too salty, the cabbage was slimy and didn’t look edible, the shepherds pie was swimming in grease, therefore we sent them back. Management refused to hear out our complaints and come up with a reasonable solution to not paying for the 2 meals that were sent back, and we were willing to pay for the other 2 meals that were eaten and the drinks. After being a patron here for such a long time, I am broken hearted that the food and service has become so bad. Not going back.

Came here with some coworkers to celebrate a 5-year anniversary. It’s your usual Irish pub with the regular food and drink options. I will say that their fish and chips looked above par, however I opted for the Reuben Panini. The sandwich was very flavorful and filling along with the provided fries. I probably wouldn’t go back specifically for the food, but for St. Pattys Day or a festive occasion I could see why this place is popular. Beware they just recently changed their menu, so be sure to check up online before going to make sure your favorite dish is still available.

I used to love this place. Now they have a new menu and all the good stuff is gone. They sell flatbread pizzas now, at an Irish pub. Where did the corned beef tacos and meatloaf sandwich and Guinness boxty go? They were really good and the reason I went there. I tried the new menu. I had the shephards pie. It was ok. But waaay too much celery, that wasn’t cooked very well. Shephards pie is about meat and potatoes, not crunchy celery in every bite. And at $ 14 for a pie the size of a hubcap, too large and too expensive on a lunch menu. I don’t think I will be going back.

We absolutely loved this place! From the Irish music, Irish beers, delicious food, to the friendly staff! The Mac and cheese was out of this world! And the ham and cheese was awesome! If ever in phoenix again, will definitely go back!

Great bar! Food is excellent! One of the last places you can get a guiness poured properly. Atmosphere is great. Service is off and on. This place is quickly becoming a gay bar, not that that’s bad IDGAF. Just noting that.

Marcee rules… great bartender and person, and everyone I met that comes here are also awesome. The drinks are great and the service is impeccable. I would come back here anytime! I came from out of town but felt like I was at my local bar. Five stars!!!

Good spot for happy hour and the bar tenders are attentive. The black velvet is what I prefer to drink along with a shot of a dirty little Leprechaun. The pretzels are a buttery and fresh option for appetizers. Cool spot!

My husband, my son, and I met some friends for dinner on Saturday, January 29th. I bought a Groupon that was two $ 20 Groupons each Groupon valid for one $ 20 visit. I guess we should have sat at separate tables because I printed out one Groupon and gave it to our friends to use on their meal. My husband ordered the fish and chips. They don’t skimp, the portions were large and fried crispy. The coleslaw was delicious. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage. It came with very tender corned beef; the cabbage was tender and the carrots and red potatoes were cooked to perfection. My son ordered the chicken quesadilla. The serving size was adequate as this was on their appetizers menu. My son enjoyed it and it came with sour cream and salsa. The waitress was attentive and checked on us. However, when she brought my refill of ice tea she sat it in front of my friend and walked off. She also seemed to be in a hurry to remove our plates before we were finished with our food. For a bar, their food is pretty good. I wanted to try it as my friends have been raving about it for some time. My friends used their Groupon and paid the balance that was outstanding with a tip and left. My husband, son and I finished our meals and I brought my Groupon up on my cell phone to give to our waitress who stated that normally the policy is only one Groupon per table can be used and the other one is for the next visit. She was gracious enough to go ahead and accept it this time, but added that this would only be for that visit. I thanked her and we paid the balance and added a tip and left. I don’t believe I will be returning. I normally don’t go to bars but I thought I would try it due to my friends.

I arrived for lunch today just after noon. I figured i’ll maybe stare at some football and enjoy some bar grub. There were maybe 4 – 5 customers total. I have a seat and giggle to myself about two flagpoles positioned directly in front of the TV with the game on. I decide I don’t care enough about that game anyway and i’ll just focus on lunch. The waitress and bartender were both friendly and greeted me on the way in. A menu was provided quickly and drink order taken. The tables are VERY sticky. Sticky as in they have been sticky for so long no amount of scrubbing will get that sort of sticky out. Anyway, I decide to order the sampler appetizer. Wings, onion rings, cheesy sticks and eggrolls to name a few. It’s a good size platter for about $ 14. A fair price for sure. In less than 10 minutes the food is at my table. This is great except three of the six items on my plate are barely warm. Barely. Like, how does a food order in an empty restaurant arrive not hot out of the kitchen? I take one bite of two different items before feeling the rest with my hand and calling the waitress over. I explain half my plate is not hot. She apologizes and brings it back to the kitchen. Immediately comes back to my table to explain someone is training in the kitchen and the chef was not here however the chef did JUST arrive. She apologizes and I say I understand and thank you. In literally less than 3 minutes she returned with the exact same tray including the two items that I had taken a bite from. Everything is now hot which is fine but the only way this could happen if if they simply threw the food in the microwave and sent it back out. She comes back and asks if everything is ok. I say«did they literally just toss this in the microwave and bring it right back out, because how else would all of this have been made in a couple minutes, the items I tasted are still on this place and now the texture is rubbery» She apologized and said she didn’t know what they did. She asked if I would like them to make me another appetizer platter. I told her no thanks, i’m good. I say«Thank you for trying but I don’t have all day for them to get pub food right». I I’m just going to leave, no need in playing this back and forth game and i’m not here to make a scene. I wished them a good day and left. Pretty sad that I was the only customer getting food at that point and two trips to the kitchen and all they did was microwave my food. Gross. I know better than to expect a good meal on the third time sending it back to a kitchen. I’ll stick to Rula Bula or hell even Seamus downtown before I return to Rosie’s.

Hands down favorite Irish bar in Phoenix! Food is always on point. I was taken back by spicy meatloaf sliders but I have to say– they’re my favorite thing on the menu! Great place for drinks, food and down to earth fun!

Great beer and a very good Fish & Chips! This is the type of place you find real, blue collar, down to earth people from Boston or Chicago frequenting. The«I am unique and precious snowflake» hipster crowd will probably find themselves uncomfortable here. Boo-freakin-hoo…

Avoid! Visited for the first time recently, pretty cool place almost! Waitress explained it was happy hour and appetizers were half off and drinks were also discounted. So we ordered apps and drinks. When the bill came there was no discount applied so we mentioned it to another server. We were then told they messed up, and that they had given us incorrect information. Understandable of course, except then we were told there was nothing they could do and we would have to pay full price.(!) No apology, not shit. We will never come back!(Which is a bummer because we wanted to like this place). Respect your self and go elsewhere.

I was overcome with nostalgia for my hometown(Richmond, VA) upon entering this bar. It is dimly lit, with a cool and casual crowd. The band playing on this particular Friday night was unique: a girl with a violin, a guy with some bongos, and I believe a guy on a keyboard. Let me tell you something. If you get a chance to go here, do yourself a favor and get the nachos. They were so incredibly good. I couldn’t even tell you why, but I can tell you that my friend decided to stop eating them about half way through, and it took everything in me to put a napkin over the last 5 – 10 chips to stop myself from eating every last bite. So good, outrageous good!

Very fun atmosphere. Went there with a friend just looking to have a couple drinks on a Friday night. We were pleasantly surprised they also has a live band which was pretty awesome. The cocktail menu had several tempting… But we decided on giving the nachos a try. We were shocked how great they were. LOADS of cheese… And the portion was too big for us to finish. Of course it was our second dinner of the night. Had I not killed a whole pizza by myself just a few hours before I probably could have finished it.

Amazing service and amazing food. Also quite kid friendly too. When we took our four boys for the first time, they gave them all balloons as we were leaving. Just a sweet touch IMO. We love this place so much we got married there in the back room! The décor and feel of the place makes you feel at home. Highly recommend!!!

I’ve been going here every few months for the last 4 years and it still remains the best pint of Guinness in PHX, even though they served it to me in a Smithwicks glass tonight. But honestly, the whiskey’s cheapish, the Guinness is good, the service is suffering and the food is a true representation of UK food(bland, one note, tasteless, sugary). I spent the majority tonight with an empty glass and passed by the bartender, only to eventually have the dude serving the other side to come cover for the larger blond chick, who passed me up no less than six times, to offer me my second beer. Glossing over the molasses speed which our food order was taken, food which has become less glorious every year. My Shepard’s pie tasted like cheese and mashed potatoes over a thin layer of sloppy Joe meat. All in all… great beer, good whisky. Eh service, eat somewhere else if you’re looking for quality food. Enjoy!

My empty plate should be proof enough of my enjoyment of this establishments food. Always good food and friendly staff. We eat here about every other week and have never had an unpleasant experience. I do agree with some comments on Unilocal when it comes to the soda bread. If they improved that they’d gain the 5th star.

Our first dinner at Rosies. My daughter had the shepherds pie, my mum and I had the lamb n Guinness stew. We sat ourselves and I went and snagged some menus and poured over them. The shepherds pie was quite large, well seasoned and delicious. The lamb stew was also a generous portion and served with traditional soda bread. The lamb was tender and the stew well seasoned. The biggest draw back was the bread. not fresh unfortunately. That would have made it a perfect meal from Ireland. All in all the service was good, the staff was friendly and the food was the closest to the real thing in the phoenix metro area. Five stars, well done.

Laid back, music on point(not live), good atmosphere, tasty beer blends, attentive waiters… Regulars that randomly yell got kinda annoying but a good place to catch up with friends. If they keep those fuckers off the guitar and mic then this place would be better.

A very good friend told me about this Irish pub not too long ago, and since then this family-operated establishment has been one of my go-to destinations for live music and Irish cuisine. The atmosphere is dim lit, bustling, and equipped with several TVs for local sports fans here and there. The décor starts with an open patio, and a horseshoe bar surrounded by a score of booths and tables. Last Friday the Sullivan’s were on hand to provide the live music that rocked the house. The Jinky’s Famous Chicken Wings($ 8.99) arrived with ten sizable drumettes and they were spicy delicious. The meat was a tad on the dry side, and I wished there were a number of actual wings that could appear on the plate. On the other hand, the explosive flavor was quite striking, addictive, and good to share. This is a good dish to order during game day. Their Corned Beef and Cabbage($ 11.99) came with prime pieces of corned beef, boiled cabbage, potatoes, carrots, horseradish sauce, and mustard. The thick cuts of corned beef was a tad chewy, but there was plenty of flavor to go with the creamy horseradish and pointed mustard seeds. The cabbage and potatoes were sensational. Portions were generous and good for two meals. This is one dish that I would recommend. The Grilled Basa($ 9.95) came with a strip of perfectly buttery blackened basa. The fish was tender, flavorful, and had great moisture so it was easy to fork into. This dish also came with a side of garlic mashed potatoes nicely whipped with a mix of potato skin here and there. Fia thought the fish was a tad too salty, but we both really liked the mashed potatoes. Service was friendly, efficient, and fast. My drink was not refilled the first time, but service was much improved during my latest visit. The atmosphere really picked up once the Sullivan’s came on stage. Eventually it got a bit too loud and hard to chat across the table. A cool spot to catch a game and enjoy their live music. I would be interested in coming back to try their Fish ‘n Chips and Irish Whiskey Bread Pudding.
