Sephora

Okay, first of all this was hands down the worst experience of my entire life shopping at a Sephora. And let’s establish the fact that I usually spend insane amounts of money constantly at Sephora, I am a highly valued customer and I’m ALWAYS treated as such. Until TODAY I go into this location and was completely discriminated against and I’ve NEVER been more appalled in my entire life. My friend and I spent our time looking at several things in the store when we were approached at least 7 different times by the same employee asking us if we were «okay» after the third time of telling her no thanks we are FINE we started to come to the conclusion that something wasn’t right. But, I kept on shopping. Then when we actually had questions for her she responded with such a NASTY attitude I didn’t know how to react. I couldn’t figure out why she would be so rude to us. So, As I’m checking out my friend was looking at the last minute Mini items by the check out stand when she’s notices the girl I think her name was Judi (the one being a total snob) walking over to a guy in a cardinals jersey and after she spoke to him he remained in the store and looked directly at my friend, so our conclusion was that they were thinking we were shoplifting!!! I have no idea why but a THEIF is the last thing I am, I truly feel like it was because I am black I was automatically targeted. So I mentioned this to them to only receive excuses (after I had just spend over 200 dollars) and they treated us even worse! Speaking with the manger tomorrow! DONT EVER GO HERE, bad service and place is completely under stocked and dirty

Sephora in J C Penney store at Washington Square is awful. I took back a face moisturizer that irritated my skin. With my Sephora card in hand. .I was told they couldn’t look up transaction for refund. .but I could get store credit!
Then they sent me to the independent Sephora snd Kenzie was absolutely able to see purchase and immediately issued cash refund. I’ll be shopping with Kenzie only from know on!

This location has gotten a lot better! The employees the last few times I have been there are very attentive. Also I am impressed with the quality & quantity of products they carry on such a small space. The last lady who checked out my purchases went above & beyond & offered me samples of products.

I went shopping with my mother at this location & it was beyond terrible I have zero desire to go back. We normally shop at the Scottsdale location, now I remember why. The customer service we awful. By awful I mean nonexistent. She had questions about Kat Von D & other long wear lipsticks. Not only was the store almost completely out of product! No one cared. The employees lack of interest of assisting customers really left a bad taste in my mouth. This was about 2 weeks ago. However, I can’t let it go. Word of mouth can be bad for business. I will not be back to shop at this location. I saw young girls trying on lipsticks straight from the sample. #NotSanitary

Beware of this Sephora!
I bought a clarisonic here along with some makeup remover in the same transaction. Funny how my 8 $ makeup remover gave me points but my clarisonic points were completely left out! I could have a gift by now if the lady didn’t somehow only put a part of my order on my beauty insider points.
Can someone explain to me how that’s even possible?
Should have left the store when I noticed the customer service here was shabby to begin with.

I have never had a negative experience shopping at this location. Most recently on the tail end of a bad visit at Ulta down the street, I came in to pick up a new pallet and my customer birthday bonus. The lady who greeted me, remembered me from my last visit, asked how I have been doing, and assisted me promptly. She helped me pick the perfect eyeshadow palette, and made me a sample of perfume I am interested in. Truly the level of service I receive there is unmatched but any other store I go to. I appreciate going in there knowing I will come out smiling.

Your stock is still rising big-​time Sephora inside JCP. Cynthia Dominguez, you are a dynamo with makeup for the eyes!
I went into Sephora to buy some eyeshadow primer but when I saw Cynthia’s eye makeup (which was the very definition of perfection), I was like; «Hold the phones!»…
She sat me down and did me up so well that my anti-​make-​up friend wanted hers done too. I live nowhere near this Sephora location but I will gladly make the trek for the quality of service this location provides.
Side note to the ladies who helped me; I apologize for how incredibly rude my friend was. She was raised by wolves and doesn’t know any better (at least that’s the only reasonable conclusion I can come up with).

Unfortunately I hadn’t realized Sephora was so close to me. I had been going to another shop, (I won’t name names) which was HORRIBLE!!! Finally, I visited Spehora and was so happy that I did. They not only had what I wanted, they had more. I’m from KC and frequented the Sephora there. Of course I loved it there too. i had also had points built up that I hadn’t realized. When I was checking out today, I was able to get not only my free b’day gift, but was able to redeem points and receive another fantastic gift.
The staff was/​is amazingly helpful, no pushy sales people, just helpful. The variety of products is not a disappointment, although I wish that this particular Sephora was a larger store. I wish it was on it’s own and not inside Penney’s.
I’m glad I now am able to go to a location that’s close to home. I love this place and highly recommend shopping there.

I love Sephora but hated having to go to Arrowhead or Fashion Square. A trek from N. Central Phoenix. Now they have the store within the JC Penney at Christown. Brilliant move. Central location, approachable — it’s in Penneys!!! Mighty convenient and rlaxed. Thanks

I finally made it to Sephora a month after receiving a gift card for my birthday. It wasn’t very busy when I went which was nice. I was immediately greeted by Andrea who helped me find my make/​up forever shade, and recommended nars eyeliner & blush (pricey but the product is excellent). I also tried the Anastasia brow pomade which they were out of completely (!) but she took my number to call me when it comes in. Sephora has a pretty open return policy which is nice if the $ 36 foundation doesn’t work out for you. Overall very great experience, but the size is smaller so the selection is limited. I will be back again!

I had the worst retail experience that I can recall. I was «reprimanded» for walking away from an associate after she told me they didn’t have any of the product I was asking about. Her passive aggressive attitude was enough to almost bring me to tears. If I hadn’t had a gift card, I wouldn’t have purchased the single item I did. I will also be calling their customer service line. This review is meant for the Goodyear location inside JCP, but I cannot find that one to review.
