I hired Steve Cole to handle my divorce about 2 months ago and fired him last week. In my extensive experience dealing with business legal issues, he is the worst professional I have ever encountered. He does not return communications in a timely manner, he shows up late for meetings — like 45 minutes — and then blames his staff, and when he does show up, he is not prepared and is obviously trying to wing it. He will take days to respond to emails, and then the response will be incomplete, nonsensical, and/or off topic. His whole philosophical thrust seems to be that everything needs to be delayed, which, in my case, was exactly what the other side wanted. Do yourself a favor and avoid this attorney at all costs — maybe you’ll get lucky and your opposition will hire him.
