When is a store at an Outlet Mall not selling discounted products? When you shop at Sunglass Hut.
Sunglass Hut in many cases cannot sell ‘discounted” products of major brands like Ray Ban, or Maui Jim. They can however put a limited number on sale, but the bulk of the brand names are not available for discounting.
I stopped here yesterday to check out the new line of summer sunglasses. I found a pair of my favorite Ray Bans which had finally been made available in polarized. The only problem was that the new polarized version was $ 197.50, as compared to $ 112.50 for the un-​polarized version. That’s a mighty expensive markup for polarizing some old sunglasses.
The wire framed Maui Jim’s are still in the high $ 200/​low $ 300s, similar to my optometrist. So no discount here either.
