It’s our neighborhood dive bar, it’s an old place with strong cheap drinks, friendly people, diverse crowd-love it, and a jukebox… what else can you ask for? Btw, I wasn’t aware they had food! Lol

As dive bars go this can’t be beat! Do drop in to this establishment at Christmas if for no other reason than to see the lights. This can be a quiet little place at happy hour with many regulars. BUT, late night this place is packed wall to wall. Does attract quite the alternative crowd but never an issue for me. Cheap drinks a good pool table and a few other games. Nice juke box. Give it a try.

Sam is a new bartender, however the sweetest and very patient! She’s definitely one of the reasons we kept taking the mystery shot! Came in on a Monday night and had a blast. Thank you Sam!

Went there for a pre-Halloween party, Friday, Oct 30th. They had a costume party and had prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. To my surprise the owner awarded 1st place to a dumb Bruce Jenner /Caitlyn Jenner pair of costumes. Not very original. 2nd place went to a ‘deer in the headlights’ costume. Dumb. 3rd place went to a giant tampon and maxipad pair of costumes. Clearly, these were the most creative costumes. Yet they won 3rd place! Other than that, the place is OK for a dive bar. Friendly people, its just the owner was shifty.

Always a great place to catch up and chill. It’s loud and small and dirty and fun! The 2 bartenders work hard for that paper and do a great job making their heads move and catch the eye of the next patron! Always recommended for dive bar feels.

Months ago I went here with a friend and it was a nice little relaxing dive bar. The drinks were insanely cheap or maybe it just seemed that way when you compare it to Scottsdale and Vegas. I didn’t get anything too complicated so it wasn’t that hard to make. Wish they had a larger selection of vodkas but I made do with what was available. Lots of people there but the noise wasn’t bad at all so my friend and I were able to sit and chat for a few hours. Only down side is I don’t think this bar has a clue when to cut people off. While sitting there talking with my friend these two random completely trashed girls came up to us and started hitting on us. They were the kind of girls that I don’t think would have been trying to hook up with another girl if they were sober and I don’t think they would have been trying to hook up with random guys, especially random guys that are sitting with another woman, had they not been beyond trashed. I didn’t see any friends with them and I remember thinking how dangerous it would be for them had my friend and I been to psychopaths taking them home. Yes it’s those girls responsibility not to get so drunk but it’s equally a bars responsibility to know when to cut someone off from the drinks.

In the mood for a cool cocktail in a dicey bar setting. We found it when in the area doing some shopping and trying to determine where to go for dinner. The place is tucked back into a corner of the strip mall and is cool, dark and small when you enter. The lights of red, white and blue around the bar is fun. Add a few tables, a dart board and some pool tables and you have a basic bar. The type of place we all dream of owning and operating. No food, no bands — just a great jukebox and good drinks at good prices. The bar was clean and the bartender was very nice. She loved telling us about the establishment. Obvious local pride which is always nice to find. We will remember this spot when we are out and thirsty because it is a local Phoenix gem!

This is a five star dive bar for sure. We came here on a Saturday night and it was packed. As most bars should be on a Saturday night, but they’re not. Many, many dive bars are half empty or worse during prime time and I’m not sure how they stay in business. But this place was packed and had a good fun vibe. Good music that wasn’t too loud you could’t hear each other, nice dark lighting, and we were even able to find seats! Prices were cheap too.

Ha. This place is weird. People there seemed to enjoy it, and it appeared to have a lot of regulars… I guess it just wasn’t my scene. I may try it again, but maybe not.

I dug the atmosphere and cheap PBR. I met up with a friend here and he was surprised by my suggestion because how the area is becoming so posh as of lately. He liked it and how laid back the bar is. Its a cool, nice, small dive bar and a bartender was really nice and remembered what you ordered. Very cool

Don’t waste your time! My friends and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon… BIGMISTAKE! We got kicked out because my friend was kissing her boyfriend in the corner. Yup WTF! The owner apparently sits at the bar all day and judges her customers and then kicks them out if she doesn’t like you for some dumb reason. I can understand if my friends were doing something inappropriate(hand job, B. J, finger banging. Ect) but come on. Kissing. There are way too many great places in this area to waste your time or your money here and if you plan on going with a young fun group don’t be surprised if you get asked to leave for some stupid reason. The only good thing about this place is its close(walking distance) to much better bars with nicer people and owners.

Terrible place. Terrible owners. Terrible management. Terrible drinks. Terrible attitude. Just stay away at all costs. Just terrible. I don’t know what else to say. Terrible a around. That’s all.

Love this place dark with cheap drinks and the tall blonde bartender is cute and has a great sense of humor. Try the mystery shot. Oh and they always have some free soup going(at least every time I’ve been) and it’s generally good to boot.

How have I never been to the Swizzle Inn before? Thanks to Reese J, I got to go last night, and it was quite the experience. Lots of people having a veeery good time(especially for it being only about 8:30). It was busy, but we found seats at the bar. There was only one bartender, but she did a great job, there was never a time when we had to wait long for a drink. I had a couple 7 and 7s and they were strong and cheap(4 $ each). The bathrooms were really clean for a dive bar and had free tampons… always a nice touch. I would definitely go back!

The Swizzle Inn is what you look for in a neighborhood/dive bar. Clean and affordable. Drinks are fairly strong and priced reasonably. Don’t miss the mystery shot.

I need witnesses to an accident that happened after bar closing time in the parking lot at Swizzle Inn. It was early Sunday morning on September 21, 2014. A vehicle backed into my vehicle in the parking lot as I approached the Swizzle Inn. If anyone saw it happen, please contact me. I will need particulars and descriptions of either or both cars to confirm you as a reliable witness. A recorded statement over the phone to both insurance companies will be requested for justice to be served.

Saturday afternoon was my first time here… but not my last! When we walked in there was a rambunctious group of OLDLADIES talking about the importance of a good support bra while taking pictures of their chests! I couldn’t agree more! I can not comment on the price of the drinks since we sent the guys to open a tab, but I can comment on the heavy hand that poured my drinks. Kudos to you! My only regret is not having came here sooner to experience Christmas at the Swizzle.

The Swizzle Inn, a five star dive. It’s like comfort food, bad for your health but also very comforting. If you find yourself in the position of having a designated driver and really want to tie one on without judgemental eyes holding you back — come to the Swizz! You could fall off your bar stool and hop right back up without anyone blinking an eye.
