This review is just for the only item I’ve tried here, which was phở with meatballs and steak. Broth was good to me, though my roommate thought it was lacking some spices. Half of my noodles were thick and chewy (I think they mixed in a different type of noodle by accident?). Service and prices were good, but would try some other phở places before considering returning here.

Those of us who missed Phuong Dong after it closed are now relieved to know that the phoenix has arisen. Yes, there is a new name and the entrance has moved to what used to be the auxiliary door, but there’s still that same friendly, fast service and great Vietnamese fare at low prices. The intensifying light rail construction has made coming into the place a bit tricky but definitely do not let that deter you — it’s so worth the little (and temporary) inconvenience.
