Josh is an excellent barber, and had fantastic technique. I’ve had my hair cut by him a couple of times before and always got a great cut. My experience with him this week has ensured I will never go to his shop again. I called on Thursday to set up an appointment. He said he was at lunch and would call me back when he got back to the shop. He never called me back. I called him on Friday. He apologized for not calling me back and said he hadn’t gone back to the shop because his daughter had been injured. We set up an appointment for Saturday morning at 9 am but Josh was not at the shop when I arrived. I waited a few minutes, then called him. He didn’t pick up his phone, and it went to voicemail, but the voicemail was full, so I texted him and let him know that I was outside the barber shop. I waited for over half an hour after sending the text and got no response. After waiting about 45 minutes total, a guy showed up. He said that Josh had told him to be there at 9:30. He said that he’s always late. At that point I decided I had waited long enough and left. I have worked in customer service for a long time, and this is no way to treat a customer. It shouldn’t be this difficult to give someone your business. My time is just as valuable as anyone else’s, and to not even get the courtesy of a reply is unacceptable. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
