Fun little place on Roosevelt Row in a refitted old home. Has a great beer selection, but if you’re looking for liquor you’ll have to head somewhere else. I mainly come here when friends’ bands are playing and have never had a bad time. The crowd is fun and if you feel crowded inside during a set, there’s a small patio outside to get some fresh air. Also plus for the staff, they’re a friendly bunch and make sure the guests are comfortable. The guy who runs the pa during sets is especially polite.

Arizona democrats, starving artists, experienced weirdos. Although the Leaf does lack a water faucet, the beer and wine list is excellent, particularly if you enjoy powerful beers. Waiters are always friendly and attentive. Artwork is always pleasant. when there’s live music, it’s consistently great. Additionally, their toilets are made of solid gold. I loathe to criticize a spot for it is popularity, but during the weekend and particularly during artwalks, Lost Leaf can get crowded truly, extremely fast, and the space is small enough that dialogue can get drowned out quite readily. No worse than any other pub — just a heads up!

I always look forward to trying new bars when visiting a new city. Coming from Los Angeles, we needed a chill night out and decided on the Lost Leaf. Luckily for us, it was something called first Friday, which means this bar was packed with people. This crowd was mixed with hipsters, old people, and college kids. My gf and I loved the back patio, we both mentioned how it had a backyard party type of feel to it. I had a couple beers and we relaxed under the sky. Unfortunately no music while we were there. Did I mention this bar looks like a house? How cool is that? If you are looking for a chill night this is the place.

My favorite place in downtown Phoenix. I love this little bar. The art makes me happy. The beer makes me happy(get a banana bread beer). The live music makes my heart filled with peace. There is no chiller place than this. The lighting is low and makes it that much better.

Phenomenal beer selection. Great crowd. Nice intimate stage for local music, albeit mediocre music on occasion. This is a special place.

I like the drinks, the staff, and the music. However, I can’t go on busy nights, because cigarette smoke gets inside the bar. I’m not sure if the 20 feet away from the door/window law applies to bar patios. If it does, it’s definitely not a priority here.

Loved it. It’s a small bar with an eclectic group of people. Their beer and wine list pretty much rocks and pair with great live music and it’s the perfect place to be. The night that we went they had live hip hop. The only downside is the fact that I haven’t been here sooner. Make sure to get here early or you won’t get a seat. Bartenders were awesome and engaging, not stuck up one bit, as unfortunately can be the case at other bars. We will be back!

This bar & music venue reminds me so much of home(Portland, Oregon). Live jazz music was bumping last night. Splendid beer and decent wine selection. Corky, hip and unique vibes all around. Big fan! Will be back as this is a great local spot to chill over a drink with friends and get some awesome local tunes.

The Lost Leaf has been one of my favorite bars to chill. The vibe is so quiet during the week days and it’s a great place to meet for a first date. Especially from the internet because the lighting is dark and you may not notice if they are catfishing you or vice versa. The place is small though so, everyone might notice that you’re having an awkward date. I used to come in for the last Friday jam sessions. It was great to see lots of local musicians playing together. Every time I went the music was great. When I checked their calendar during the latest visit I found that those jam sessions are no longer scheduled. I found that to be a bummer because I was looking forward to schedule a trip to Phoenix just to see one again. I still love this bar and will continue to patron when I’m in town. The bartenders are helpful and it looks like they have a large selection of local beers. Go there now!

A few of us visited this place because it was near our hotel. We checked out their website prior to coming, and we saw that it was square dancing night! There was no clear sign, but we saw an A frame to help us locate the place. We walk in and there was a live band playing music for the square dancing. I thought it was a nice touch and the music was great! There was also a square dancing instructor. She pulled our group in and we had a blast learning! This place has a great selection of beer. There are only about 5 beers on tap and some choices of wine. Seating inside is pretty limited, but there is a patio outside as well. We liked this place so much, we came by every night.

How did I not review this place till now befuddles me. This has to be in my top 3 bars in downtown. They don’t serve whiskey or hard liquor per se but the beer section is extensive. I guess what i am saying is if you only drink single malts or whatever this is not the place to go. They do serve wine as well and since it is not something I drink often enough I cannot comment on the quality of the selection. They do not carry any food at all, but there is jobot adjacent to it if you must find food in between. The bartenders know their beers and make excellent recommendations. I am eternally thankfully to them for introducing me to Ommegang brewery ! The people that come here, some in all shapes and sizes. This is definitely not north scottsdale so dont come in expecting it. Or maybe you could just to have your mind blown away ! Everyone is friendly and nice, from the bar tenders to the people that come in, but having said that if you want to meet other religion pushing, flat earth kinds, this is possibly not the place to go to. Or you could, and maybe broaden your horizons. I dunno, thats your call. They do have live music 365 days of the year and its independent in every sense of the word. If you want to support your local artists this is one of the places you go to. Local art is always on the walls if you want to buy them, and that changes often too. All in all this place is a gem and absolutely worth a visit.

4 years and 60+ visits later, it’s time to rave about this place a little more. It gets five stars. It is easily one of the best bars in Phoenix, and the best example of how to make the most of a very small space. The setup itself is totally legit… a few tables in front of a bar in the corner, a stage, and an awesome little patio nestled in between the old house and Jobot. The beer selection is on point, and has improved over the years in two aspects: Rotating seasonal brews, and the installment of local brews on draft. My go-to is the Lumberyard Red, but unlike my 21-year-old self I freaking love the IPAs, and they usually have them. The wine selection is also small, but good. Get the Malbec… or the sake. It’s like $ 15(for the bottle! Wow! I’d pay more!) and by far the best way to get sloshed. In style. If you’re being cheap – or just want something light to cap a night of binging – there’s always $ 2PBR. Groovy. It’s about more than just drinking, of course. They make an effort to have at least one live set EVERYSINGLENIGHT. That cannot be beat. Jam out while you check out the local art for sale. In the end, I’ve gotta say this is tied for my favorite bar around. I have never had a bad time here, and if you’re not sure where to go, The Lost Leaf is a sure bet.

Get lost at Lost Leaf. It’s a quaint bar serving up local wine and beer offering live musical performances every night of the week. Every show is free and the selection is enormous for such a small place. Walking in the door, you’ll find casual seating and standing space where you can chat and drink. Towards the back of the bar, you’ll see the stage, which is more of a recessed area in what feels more like a living room. That’s what so neat about this place — you really get close and personal with the musicians. A friend of mine sings with a band called the Get Down Boys(very cool bluegrass), who played a show here one night. A bunch of us from High School packed the place and the mood was awesome! Lost Leaf echoes the look and feel of old school Arizona. It’s worth going for the ambiance, drinks and music!
