The Phoenix Conservatory Of Music

The Phoenix Conservatory of Music is an organization that allows for musicians of any level to have a unique and fruitful experience. The private lessons offered by PCM are (in my experience) of a very high caliber and provide students with a better understanding of not just their instrument, but the way music works itself.
The ensemble and theory classes that are available offer an entirely different array of excellent skills. The ensemble teaches how to perform with others, multiple genera’s of music, and can offer a chance to influence what the ensemble will do. The theory classes that come with the ensemble are in some respects, even more important. These classes will teach young musicians to be more than just the average musician through the use and understanding of music theory. They will learn everything from what a whole note is to secondary dominants and the basics of chord scales.
It is my belief that any student who takes the opportunities given here, works well with teachers, works outside of just the school, and asserts themselves will be able to graduate as a musician ready for college. In two years this school advanced me from a mediocre musician, to a full tuition scholarship to Berklee College of Music. I owe my success thus far to my parents, my own dedication, and the Phoenix Conservatory of Music.

This program has absolutely changed my life. Because of this program I have gotten to study at the Berklee College of Music, work with Grammy award winning artists, and be a part of an amazing community of musicians.
