Degrading and authoritarian, despite the«rebel» label. My friend and I were kicked out despite not causing any disturbance to the establishment. After arguing with management and a bouncer, we were degraded, while they disregarded everything we tried to explain. Even their resident DJ tried to talk some sense into these people, but the management refused to budge. I was a regular, as well as my friends, but we are no longer supporting this establishment. Don’t expect fair treatment here.

Been a few times to watch the smaller non known bands starting out, a few suggestions for the owner, get a bartender that can move and not take 5 minutes per customer, hire a power wash company to remove the smell of vomit from your parking lot, lastly, when you promise to pay the smaller bands to perform, pay them and dont stiff them at closing, seen this 3 times already.

nice sound and venue. Our bartenders had no clue on how to make very basic mix drinks. They were awful. stick with the beer!

Just a basic small music venue with a long bar. It gets the job done but I’m not a fan of being stuck in the back of a venue because I’m drinking alcohol. I was there to see a few bands so I paid what everyone else did to be there and was excited but that turned into a bit of frustration as the show continued. I’m a short stack so being corralled in the back of a venue pretty much made my view of the bands very limited and I felt disconnected. Shouldn’t the people that the venue is making all of its money off of be treated with more importance? I just want to be able to drink a beer, sing some songs and have the option to get as close as I can to the stage.

I’ll join with the other reviewers and say that it is great to see this famous music venue back in business. The new sound system they have in place is fantastic and the venue has been updated. The staff was friendly and the beer was cold. However, others have pointed out the lack of seating as an issue and they are right. This place could really use some tables and chairs as the only seats are the stools at the bar. This is way too big a place to just have open floors. We were there to see Sundressed and Merit for their release show and both rocked the house. I would recommend you check out these awesome local bands.

It’s really just the most basic venue I’ve seen for years in this town. Sound system is average. Drink selection and prices are average. It’s very small, narrow, and flat, so if you’re not super tall like yours truly, it’s highly likely you’ll have a tough time viewing the action. Shows appear to be booked sparsely, and are just affordable, local acts. I like those, and will probably be forced back from time to time to see one. I guess my biggest problem is that this place has no personality, no character, no SOUL. Just an air conditioned room with canned beer. Easily forgettable, and I can find what Rebel offers in way cooler corners of the valley.

Super weird venue. First, before I rag on it, let me say that the sound was absolutely amazing. New speaker system and a killer sound guy — someone give him a raise! But the layout here is horrendous. It’s just one, big flat floor with no incline and no seating. If you’re anywhere but the front row you literally can’t see anything. Also, prices are a little high for cheap beer like PBR and Coors.

The Mason Jar is BACK! Okay, I’m definitely dating myself here, so here we go. This is a nice intimate live music venue(with a history) that has been completely striped of it’s old innards. Gone is the musty dankness of the former venue and it’s been replaced with a really nice, clean and modern feel. My favorite part of this venue has always been the looooooooong bar. Not only does this grant you drinks MUCH faster, but if you’re by yourself, there’s always a good chance that you’ll find a decent place to «belly up» to the bar. The sight lines are unimpeded and the sound system seems rock solid. That said, I’m not real fond of the lack of seating. ProTip #2: You enter through the side door which is behind a wall that obscures the entrance(it’s always been like this). If you’re a rookie, you’ll certainly be perplexed, but don’t worry about it, next time you’ll appear like you’re really«in the know». Full Disclosure: I’ve known the owner(Stephen Chilton) for some years now. He’s a super nice guy who’s been booking shows in town for quite sometime. And I couldn’t be happier that he now has his own venue.

We met a friend here to see some local bands play on Friday 5÷22÷15. The venue had just opened three days prior and was very hard to find because they had no signage up anywhere but we were immediately greeted by someone from security and welcomed. The venue is small and very intimate. It had an industrial/warehouse feel to it– which I love. The staff were highly attentive and friendly and the drinks were cheap and poured heavy. They have a small enclosed smoking patio and nice new bathrooms(which were well lit…). I definitely recommend it to anyone who is into the live music scene. We will be back for sure. The only things that I would have liked to see was more seating. Maybe a few couches or pub tables throughout? Overall, a neat spot!
