Best pastrami on fresh hoagie covered with onion straws w/a jus. Highly recommend. Karen was a great server. My first time there but not my last!

Huge salads and hot doughy pretzels. Parking: This is part of Whole Foods. Easy parking in front. Atmosphere: Super casual. The bar had several TVs with sports on. Service: The wait staff are attentive but the service was very slow. It took maybe 20 minutes for our app and another 40 minutes for the food. That said, the wait staff were mostly friendly, though some were a bit apathetic. Food: We ordered soft pretzels with cheese and mustard. I love pretzels and definitely enjoyed these. I ordered a salad that had pomengranate seeds, oranges, and cheese. It was HUGE. I felt like 45 minutes later, I was still eating salad. The guy I was with ordered the orange chicken but stated it wasn’t that great. Drinks: Various beers and other drinks.

This review is for Bartender Leigh. Thank you Leigh for knowing the answers to any questions I could possibly have about the food or menu, EVERYTIME! Also thank you for not drowning me in samples when all I need is a sip to taste and see if I like it. You’re a Rockstar and I hope you feel appreciated often. I guess I lied… I would also like to say Taco Tuesday rocks! I have happily eaten 2 orders and will gladly suffer the waddle home if it means enjoying 20 Highland tavern’s Taco Tuesday. The fried pickles on the new appetizer menu are über amazing as well! I still miss my favorite, blackened green beans, but the pickles are another delicious go to. Nice save! If the bison burger was permanently on the menu I would probably order that and nothing else. But that’s really just like, my opinion, man.

Consistently bad service, and there have been a few times I have not checked-in here. I like the market and I like making a salad or getting a meal and taking it over to eat and have a drink, but it seems like every single time I do this its impossible to get service. Its like the staff can only do one task at a time and God forbid if a store worker or one of their friends is there to eat or drink, you might as well forget about prompted service. I have literally sat there and made eye contact with the servers and watch them go to every table but mine and my friends. I usually need to flag them down or say something for them to stop and ask if I need anything. That seems to be an inconvenience for them, hell I even had an empty growler sitting on the table for a refill last time I was in and that didn’t spark any attention. Anyhow I think I’m done, anyone want to buy a growler from me? You might have better luck than I.

I spent my Friday evening getting sloshed in a grocery store’s pub. No, this isn’t my half-assed audition to write for VICE Munchies, but rather my reflection on the surprise when I discovered one could plan meals in lieu of binge drinking/eating at restaurants, only to end up doing the same in-store. I need an adult. Twenty Highland, with its conspicuously local name, seeks to quickly make you forget that you are indeed what’s a makeshift chain restaurant enjoying Whole Foods cuisine. Of course, I use the word«enjoying» loosely. I have literally never shopped at WF before, so this won’t be a biased review. This place blows. From the moment we walked in, we were told to seat ourselves, and that someone would be right with us. That individual didn’t relay this message when he left to what I assume was the hot foods area. As a result, we spent 15 minutes awkwardly watching other groups greeted by employee #2. We were not paid attention to until after retrieving menus for ourselves. Because we first-time diners didn’t know exactly what we wanted right away, I just grabbed a beer, while our«just a minute» turned into another awkward 20+ minutes of waiting for a waiter again. Between the lack of spacial awareness, and embarrassingly poor time management, I get the vibe that these guys are just regular grocery store deli employees with no real service experience. It shows. Clumsy and slow, this endeavor works about as smoothly as that time McDonald’s thought they could churn out competent baristas. OK, let’s talk about the food! $ 10 goes rather far here, as it can get you a local beer(that’s like a $ 5 value!) a heaping order of fries, and for right now, a burger. Not just any ordinary burger, but the«Better Burger». It gets its name from being cut with mushrooms, which reduces caloric intake while being better for the environment. I like burgers, and I like mushroom burgers, so of course I had to give it a shot. It was bland, bland, bland. High quality provolone, but garlic aioli was nonexistent, and probably forgotten altogether. Burger was equally tasteless, but what’s more offensive was the very mushy texture that tasted faintly of meat with tasteless filler. If soylent green were real, I’d imagine this is what it would taste like. Portobello fries had a nice texture, but were completely worthless without the generous serving of mushroom dipping sauce. My dining companion appreciated the quality of sushi, but notes that a 4 pieces per order, she’d rather pay more and get more. She also said it was cut awkwardly and difficult to eat, a sentiment echoed in the 2-star review from our glorious community manager. The cocktails seem good, just know that they’re not made with spirits so you’re paying like $ 7 for spruced up wine and beer. The atmosphere is kind of awkward. Either you’re watching ESPN, which is totally cool, or staring out into the aisles and registers making accidental eye contact with all the ripped customers from the adjacent LA fitness who are in better shape than you in part because they’re not eating a gigantic burger… not that I’m feeling insecure or anything! Overall, the saving grace is that food here is inexpensive… but even then there’s no incentive to order it here when there’s already a hot foods section of the store. And if you’re going to have a quick pint, is this seriously going to be your go-to spot? I think that if you’re a big WF shopper to begin with, this is a really cool addition to pregame with a pint. Otherwise, why are you here? Go to a real bar and grill.

Last pour is at 9:30 on a Friday. Listed open until 10 on a Friday, lamesauce. Fix your ad please, waste of travel time. This isn’t a town with the population of 600…

Located inside Whole Foods, they host an excellent selection of state & national microbrews on that that are constantly rotating. It’s a perfect place to try new brews. Food is served from the WF kitchen & reflects their usual fare; a daily special is available for a local brew & a classic bar meal for 10 $. A screaming deal when u consider that the plump little wings you’re eating on Thursday are Mary’s free range chicken. The drawback to this place is unfortunately the service. I’ve noted it can often be long in coming whether you are waiting to be greeted, offered your next pint, or antsy to pay once you’ve plainly finished. As a regular I get noticed sooner & have deflected my service to people I can see are irritated. I know that several of the staff are servers elsewhere, so, I put it down to poor delineation of each person’s responsibilities or a someone else will handle it attitude. Whatever, the specials & happy hour makes it affordable, I get treated well & I’ll keep going back.

It’s convenient but typically service is poor. They’ve been out of what I order on more than one occasion. They poured us what should’ve been a chilled sparkling wine right from a bottle stored on the shelf at room temperature. I’ve overheard other customers complain to staff about poor service while at the bar so at least it’s not just me.

This is a bar in whole foods, not a tavern not some stand alone place, so please don’t get lost looking for it. They try to set them selves apart with a social menu and not having the drink deals of other wholefoods bars but there is no avoid the fact you are in a supermarket, Which for me is something to embrace and not avoid. Want a rare beer on draft and to enjoy it with some kasi go lean, then this is your place.

Twenty Highland Tavern is the pub inside the Whole Foods in the Town and Country Center. The space is at the end of the store, next to Whole Foods extensive bottled beer selection. Not only do they have 30+ beers on tap, they have great deals on growlers. The selection has a good representation of local beers, as well as other smaller breweries from all over the West. The food selection is small but you can also get food from the store and bring it in. Someone had great smelling ribs at the bar that made everyone envious. Wings seem to be the thing to order there, and the sauce that seems most popular is the buffalo apricot sauce. It is served with«vegan» blue cheese dressing. My overall recommendation is to eat dinner at one of the many close bye restaurants and enjoy a drink here. Service is outstanding, and the bartenders encourage you to try before you buy.

Great happy hour, great beer selection on tap and bottle, you can also buy from stock and ask them to serve it. Comments about price are viable so go during happy hour if that is a concern. The servers know their tap(s) and happily give tastes, OR just get a flight – MY favorite move. Lots of bar front(I really don’t know what to call it) room and often good conversation. I haven’t ever felt rushed.

The food and service is excellent! Located within the Whole Foods Market at Camelback, they offer daily happy hour specials for $ 10 which includes food and drink. Perfect for a night out, glass of wine, and a nice seating arrangement to watch sports.

This pub features a market with a fine selection of pretentious sundries. The libations are delightful. Gordon Ramsay would be elated. Five stars. Bravo.

Several visits in, I like this place more and more with each experience. Daily specials for $ 10 — which(in most cases) includes food and a beer or wine? Yes, please! Menu with a little something for everyone? Check! Solid beer and wine selection with lots of the locals represented? You bet! The option to skip the menu, get anything you want in the store and have a place to sit and eat it while having a beer or wine? SOLD! I’ve had burgers, pizza, wings and the cheeseboard. Sushi and salads, too! Only one moment of let down so far — I was going for the wings and beer special — but didn’t realize it had to be a local brew. I was so looking forward to my favorite Spring brew — Abita’s Strawberry Harvest. Alas, it wasn’t part of the special. In a way, that worked out far better for the store — I enjoyed a Papago Orange Blossom while there, and got a 32oz of the Abita to go. We all win! Except my wallet. The bar staff is friendly and knowledgeable — and YAY for growlers to go! Whole Foods doesn’t have to be Whole Paycheck, if you follow the specials! Enjoy!

We love to fill up our growlers here — and they always have killer deals. On Thursdays their growler refills are $ 4 off! They let you sample as many beers as you’d like and are always super knowledgable and friendly. Little tip — it is cheaper to order sushi from their menu than it is to pick it up pre-made at the sushi bar in the grocery. All of the food is made expeditiously from the wonderful chefs around whole foods — definitely worth stopping here for a bite and a beer to start a night out.

Oh, Bar in Whole Foods. You are so special to me, I didn’t even know your name the first time we met. I came, we kissed and I left without leaving my number. I knew you were there, nestled somewhere amongst the many Whole Food gems soon to be offered in Camelback. When I heard Whole Foods was opening, I just had to be one of the 1st two hundred in line.(I really wanted a plant holder!) I mean, really, A BAR! Right next to my gym. Woof. Heavens. Be still my heart. So, on opening day, I just so happened to be first in line. Yeah, that happened. (Got my plant holder!) I’m sorry I did not know your name. My Whole Food’s review on Unilocal is really all about you. See? Did you read it? No? You should read it. Come back. Then let’s talk. Ok, fine. I’ll still love you(the reader) for not going back to my detailed review. Just know you’re missing out. There’s love for everyone. Just not enough memory for names. For that I need a pen and paper. HEADLINES + Convenience factor is high + Wide diversity in beverages(beer, wine. cocktail list) + Food & Drink menu very affordable + Ample seating + Nice employees + Fresh food(Hey, this is Whole Foods!) + No reservations + TV’s available + BRINGCASHTOTIP! (If paying by card there is no gratuity section.) DETAILS It’s swell that the staff can ring you up, if you have a small/medium order. You can also place your food order as you arrive to shop.(No need to wait long at the bar for food.) The beer tap list is impressive. Every time I go on and on about The Bar in Whole Foods, people ask if I work there. No, the Bar in Whole Foods just happens to have a lot of beer! LOCAL! Wine too. LOCAL! SERVICE Four Stars instead of Five Service is a work in progress. Amazing efforts made, but, definitely a work in progress. It may help to sit closer to the bar to remain in staff eyesight. Thank you for making grocery shopping a bubbly experience ;)

Everyone had been telling me how great this new Whole Foods was and I was so hesitant to come here because I love Trader Joe’s is one of my favorites but I have to say, this café is worth dragging my ass in to snobbyville. The guys(I am sure there are girls but we only had guys that day) who work there are wicked laid back and fun and were very much aimed to please. Little sis and I walked in not knowing what to expect and the whole layout of the store is pretty cool. The tavern has a great wood feel like a normal bar and we just sat down near a window and waited for a menu. There is a huge variety of things to choose from that are all freshly made in the kitchen on the other side of the store. We started off like true boomba’s and went for the pretzel bread with beer cheese. YUM it had a kick to it that was a secret but it was awesome. I ended up continuing with the boomba and grabbing the fried chicken with mash and veggies. Everything was great. Little sis got the kale salad which she loved. I am not a kale fan but she is and said it was great. They have both beer and wine and I had a white wine that the actual maker was tasting in the store that day. I would definitely go back here and try more things in the tavern and they might just make me want to go into the store and look around… smart move there Whole Foods… you little devil you.

Different kind of a place here inside the Whole Foods and thoroughly enjoyed it. Don’t expect a fancy restaurant but more like a tavern as its name states. Over 30 beers on tap, it’s so hard to pick so I went with a beer flight of all the pumpkin beers which is $ 8. Better deals during happy hour 4 – 6 pm and on the weekends. We started off with some snazzy blackened green beans — nicely seasoned and delicious. I had the camelback burger(no bun), green salad and was surprisingly tasty, cooked to my exact medium rare temperature. Friends had the Caesar kale salad with chicken and orange chicken wok. Both were okay. But to top off our experience, our server was great. She was extremely friendly, helped with beer selections and offered us a tasting of one of her blueberry favorites! A great server always enhances experience in more ways than one!

This is not a big space, which is not surprising since it is tucked away in a corner of the newly-opened Camelback Whole Foods store. Therefore it might be a bit tricky to get a seat during peak hours especially if you come with a group. But the service is friendly and reasonably fast and the food you order will come from the very active food stations of Whole Foods, so there isn’t much of a wait between placing your order and getting your food. The food itself is good, and there is a more than decent selection of drinks available. Since they’re newly opened, there are still a few kinks to work out. Our group had to share menu sheets for food and drinks; there didn’t seem to be enough to go around for all of us. But hopefully these small details will be remedied soon as the staff adjusts to the pace of the business and the clientele.
