University Club of Phoenix

We had our wedding and reception at The University Club. The staff was exceptional in servicing our guests. The food was exquisite and all the guests were pleased with the quality and quantity. It is a beautiful urban venue in an historic home with beautiful manicured grounds. We highly recommend The University Club for your next event.

We’ were greeted warmly at the entrance. We were given a private room for our party of 6. started with beef barley soup which was hot and very hearty with lots of beef and vegetables. Co use two was their egg and chorizo burrito. The meat was n not greasy and had a nice blend of flavors. Service was great

This venue is awesome of breakfasts, luncheons, etc. the staff is awesome and always are so on top of things. The food is so delicious and there is always plenty of varieties to choose from. The price point is great!

I hosted my parents 50^th wedding anniversary celebration at this club.
The event was a tremendous success thanks to the kind and attentive service of Helga, Karen and their staff. The food is good and the enviroment is charming. this is a lovely alternative to a commercial event space.

This place is really quaint and lovely, it’s like hanging out in your rich grandma’s house if she lived in downtown Phoenix.
It’s right behind Heard Museum tucked away in the historic distric and you would miss it if it weren’t for the parking lot.
It’s not very big but it’s great for business meetings: breakfast, lunch or small conferences like board meetings. I’ve done all of the above and hosted a few seminars with about 50 people. Although they require membership for day-​to-​day or meal or meeting space use, I know they also rent it out for weddings, etc. I’ve always thought the lawn in the back would be perfect for an evening, outdoor wedding.
The staff is top knotch and they’ve always taken amazing care of me and our team; always very professional and gracious. Carol and Jan will make sure you have everything you need. The food is better than average catering quality– there’s nothing that really stands out as being superb or terrible, I would say it’s all average American fare.
They also rotate artwork of local artists; I always appreciate that.
All in all, I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a downtown meeting or event space.

University Club is a membership club in central Phoenix. I do not have a membership but have attended meetings and a wedding at the club as a guest in the past.

The wedding, we attended was a while ago but I distinctively remember how beautiful it was out on outside garden. The ceremony and dinner was outside and it was gorgeous. It almost felt like we were not in Phoenix, but removed far far away in some plush other land with greens and plants surrounding us! The food was catered by University Club and was delicious. I remember the staff being kind.
As for the meetings I have attended inside the club, they were very nice as well. Nothing fancy dancy over the top, but had a lot of old Phoenix charm. The club is an old renovated 1917 house and each of the dining rooms are parts of the house, it’s really neat. It’s like being in someones home but not.
