This company not only lied they scammed my family. We are taking legal action as of now. Do not trust them.

I would love to give them five stars but its barely my first day (actually hours) with the system. I just want to start by saying that I started out by hiring another company but things didn’t feel quite right. So I immediately canceled and contacted a friend who used to work for this company. He sent me over to a current employee who was so helpful, polite and honest that I was sold before he even finished telling me the details. The employee kept in contact with me until the installation was completed and let me know that If I had any further questions I could always reach him. Now let me tell you about my Techs. Awesome! Super friendly and detailed about their work. I believe I had Dan Wolfe (who has a broken hand btw) it took them a little less than two hours but they didn’t leave until I was comfortable with my system. I know this company has had a lot of bad reviews and i promise nobody paid me to write this. I might come back and give an update after a month but so far I am really happy with the way the handle their service. Thank you!

***If you have not seen their episode on Undercover Boss, you may want to do so.*** This will confirm all the bad stories. It treats its employees just as bad as it treats its customers. The CEO Todd Pederson is clueless. He has a bad call center but could not invest in fixing the phone system so instead he bought new cubicles? Now that is true security!

Horrible customer service. I have a Vivint security system at my home. The system is not working properly so I called customer service to make an appointment to have the problem corrected. They could not give me a service appointment for over 3 weeks. They actually tried to sell me an upgraded service contract. It seems that sales is their product and service is forgotten.

Vivint reached out in a comment but nothing good came of it. I reached out to customer service and they assured me we could have a «drill less» install at our new home, since we are tenants and cannot have any holes in the wall (I was willing to show them our lease). The guy came today to install 45 minutes late, our requested time to be home was 11am-​2pm! He was so rude to me on the phone saying it was against protocol for him to wait for me since I was not home. Even though HE was 45 minutes late after I waited around for 3 hours. So he came back after his «lunch» then proceeded to tell me that there is no such thing as a drill less installation and there was nothing he could do besides drill. So he did make an effort and call customer care where that don’t care AT ALL about customer service they offered me a free installation only saving me $ 50. so after wasting a lot of my time, and effort. Vivint still screwed me. I have to say I feel stupid for making so much effort on my part to make this work, and keep them as a company we use. So vivint you win, you get to screw our family out of $ 500 to finish out the remainder of our contact. I have never encountered such a HEARTLESS company.

After taking our cc number, Vivent, did not show up for the installation as promised. We went with a different solution. We have been 3 months trying to get them to stop charging our card as the service was cancelled (before it was even installed). They even replied to my prior ‘yelp’ … I have now had three different reps assure me that a refund has been posted, but no refund has ever been forthcoming. On ‘Yelp’ they reply asking for the account phone number as IF they are going to handle the problem … but it is just show … nothing ever comes of it. I have had only lies and promises from them… no action of good faith. They keep apologizing for my difficulties and keep charging my credit card as they are apologizing. My advice: Do not even start dealing with Vivent! I have logged over 5 hours trying to get them to stop charging for something that never happened. Don’t even go there!

Vivent’s comments about giving them your account number so they can fix the problem is only posturing on Unilocal.They have had my number and account information numerous times. Since I have written my first review, I have spoken to an additional 4 reps at Vivent and finally they assured me, more than two weeks ago, that they had processed a refund. Not so! Despite the assurances of their top level department, no refund has ever been posted to my credit card. I repeatedly asked them for evidence that they had processed the refund on their end so I could take it to Visa and they would not give that to me. I have asked Vivent to completely cancel my account and take my credit card number out of their system and provide me with confirmation, and they would not do that either. I have now recorded a total of 9 hours talking to their reps (every new one sends you through the ‘levels’) to get this resolved. Vivent is the worst company I have ever dealt with. STAY AWAY FROM VIVENT!

Save yourself a headache, lost time and money, and ultimately your family and DO NOT do business with this company. If you need a security company I strongly encourage to go with ADT or any other company.
My experience with them has been absolutely terrible. Twice they missed their appointment to install a security system at my home. The first one was allegedly due to the tech guy calling in sick. My appointment time was between 8−11am. I waited that entire time and eventually when 11am hit and no one showed up at my house, I called them to find out where they were and I was told the tech called in sick. Why Vivint couldn’t call me at 8am to tell me they would have to reschedule is beyond me and was the first indication that their customer service is the worst in the business. The soonest they could reschedule my appointment was three days later! Mind you this meant, I could not move into my new house and it cause me to delay the movers. On top of it, when I asked them to wave the $ 99 installation fee (I was already in a contract, so it didn’t make sense to extend it), they made me talk to three different people and 45 minutes later on the phone, one of their managers finally agreed to do it, but stressed to me that Vivint saving their bottom line (because the cost of the equipment was soooo expensive) was more important to him then his customer of 5 years (me) experience.
So, three days later, my appointment time was 5−8pm. At 7pm when no one showed up at the house, I called Vivint again. This time I was told the tech went to the wrong address (my previous house). No call to me, nothing. Can this seriously happen twice to the same person? Well as the old saying goes, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. So, I did what any reasonable person should do… I cancelled my contract, immediately called ADT and they installed a security system… on time (even called me on their way to confirm) the very next day.
You would think my headache would be over… nope…try to cancel your service. I called them to tell them I was canceling, I emailed them so my request was in writing and I even filled out a survey at their request detailing my entire experience and again my request to cancel. Guess what, I got an email back from them saying I had to call them AGAIN to cancel. Then, just when you think it cannot get worse, the associate who emailed me to tell me I needed to call them gave me a phone number and said they were open ²⁴⁄₇. I called the number… yeah they were closed. The end.

I just wrote a review for their Mesa «location» (guy working out of his apartment I think… if not, where’s the published local address?), here’s what I shared from that «location»:
This company is terrible! They’ll knock on your door without proper licensing, they are prolific at spamming email, they recently changed their name from APX Alarm to hide from their «F» rating on the BBB, they currently have a «C» rating (terrible), they have faced government action from the states of Oregon, California, Arkansas and Louisiana (check it out on the BBB). The only people that would ever buy from these guys are individuals on their door step that make a hasty decision and don’t review companies. Terrible organization.
