It’s not easy to find coffee shops that sell Intelligentsia coffee. This one does! Staff is very friendly and I haven’t had a bad Americano here yet. The reason for a 3-star review is that I’ve asked a few times about the possibility of getting a bag or two of decaf Intelligentsia beans and nothing ever comes of it. No follow through. Would have been better if they simply said«no we can’t help you» so I could move on and source it elsewhere — which is what I’ve done since.

As a barista, I really appreciate down to earth real people serving my coffee… This shop has super nice down to earth baristas and great Intelligentsia coffee prepared well. Nice laid back vibe. I was really happy to find a matcha latte here as well because sometimes, I just want another option other than my go-to drinks. Their house cold brew was good too! If I’m in Phoenix again, I’ll stop in. Really nice shop!

Unfortunately, I was hoping for better. I love trying out new coffee shops when visiting new areas, so before a doctor appt, I decided to grab some coffee at this local spot. It’s fairly small and simple, which was fine, but it went downhill from there. I really wanted a pastry to go with my coffee, but the pastry display was pretty bare and it was still quite early. The only choices were pretty much desserts and because I needed something in my belly, I went with the«brookie», which was described as half cookie and half brownie. I also ordered a caramel iced coffee, which basically was just iced coffee and the coffee itself wasn’t my favorite. When my coffee was ready, it was just placed on the counter… no eye contact, no calling out of my name or the drink… nothing. When I opened the brookie, it was pretty hard, so I brought it home to my daughter, who said it was good but hard. Based on this experience, I probably won’t return…

Love this coffee spot and wish I could get a refund for all the mornings I settled on a Dunkin Donuts coffee before finding this place, truly my loss! I will go out of my way to avoid the monopoly of S’bucks. I am a regular and used to see the owner all the time but haven’t in quite a few months. But the guys that work there are always kind and professional and do a good job striking up a conversation in a relaxed manner. The pastries look delicious but always opt for a power bar, student struggles are real! Their exclusive brand of coffee they offer is Intelligentsia. I do not believe you can find this Chicago based coffee elsewhere in the Phx area. Intelligentsia is under the parent co. Peet’s Coffee & Tea that more people are probably familiar with. They have brick and mortar coffee shops in LA and Chicago. The environment here is very laid back and you’ll see a group of guys getting together to play on the Xbox on some evenings. Some of the furniture is starting to fall apart but can easily be resolved. I love the finish of this brew, a complex body but without the acidic finish. Watch Groupon for great specials, but I will pay full price any day it’s that good! Prices are average, variety is pretty good!

Friendly service and tasty coffee, and it looks like the place hasn’t been mopped and dusted in a long time :/

Nothing to write home about. After eating at Spinato’s, we decided to spend some time relaxing and kicking back for a late night dessert with coffee/tea. I got the Earl Grey tea, which was very weak in taste. My boyfriend got a vanilla latte and a slice of carrot cake. The cake was so-so, and the coffee was nothing special. Staff was friendly enough, but I was really hoping for something a little more memorable. Bummer :(

I’m in town traveling. It was 9:45 pm and wanted a cup of hot organic tea before bed. Most everything around me was already closed. I called ahead and asked if they would stay open. Not only was the young man working willing to make sure he was open when I got there at 10 pm but he waited to brew my tea for me. Fresh tea, big smile and a warm welcome. I highly recommend driving a little extra for their fine organic teas and great service.

Located at 48th and Chandler Boulevard in Ahwatukee, I have driven by this coffee shop about a thousand times. I guess what confused me is the sign on the side that states they«buy and sell gold.» According to the other Unilocalers, this is also a gold buying and selling facility. Upon entering, I’m immediately struck about the cool and calm vibe this facility has. There are a couple of couches, lots of tables, lots of chargers, music that is not too loud, and people in their own special corner just relaxing and enjoying a hot cup of Java. Ording was simple, and easy. The foam was foamy. The coffee was hot and had a mild roasted flavor. They have soy and almond milk, which is a huge plus. The only negative is the cappuccino was served in a paper cup. We were not offered a mug.

Fast forward 2 years and my feelings are the same, great place and now open at 6 am so super handy for a great cup of coffee 6−9pm, They’ve also added home made cake that is delicious. A must stop. Serve inteligista coffee. Excellent!!! And not snooty nor«hip» just good coffee and sweets.

This is a nice little coffee shop in the Ahwatukee/Chandler area. They exclusively serve Intelligentsia coffee which is excellent. I had a pumpkin bread with chocolate chips and a large Americano before church on Sunday. My wife had a latte and a piece of Apple crumble cake. The food was rich and fresh – we loved it!

After a few more visits here, I think there’s actually something interesting about the understated simplicity of this coffee shop. It’s real laid back, completely unpretentious, and their coffee is pretty good. Overall though, not much else to report.

Holy Smokes, a place that ISN’T a chain to get coffee in Ahwatukee? Color me shocked! Met my Mom at WhereUBean a couple months back for what we like to call a Coffee Lunch: Not enough time to go get lunch on our breaks, but enough time to catch up for 30 minutes! The vibe was really cozy, couches to lounge on and tables aplenty. It almost reminds me of an IKEA Showroom Living Room! We noticed a few students studying. We sat out front that day as I needed to cool down from a blazing hot office. The barista seemed a little quiet and standoffish, but he was really kind and helpful when my Mom needed help concocting a flavored latte. WhereUBean gets the most points for brewing Intelligentsia Coffee, the smoothest you’ll find next to Kona Coffee. I enjoyed my dark roast and the biscotti we shared. Well done, WhereUBean. Now I just need to remember you’re in the ‘hood those work days I go back to Starbucks like that awful ex you can’t stop seeing, but keep going back to out of … Erm, convenience?!

This is a cute little shop! There’s a portrait type of artwork done on a slab of old cassette tapes. Pretty cool! There are several areas where you can sit and chill or do some work. There are books in the entertainment center, probably more for display, but perhaps you could read through on on several visits? They serve Intelligentsia Coffee, organic teas, hot chocolate, and baked goods. You can also buy mugs, syrups and organic loose leaf teas by the bag as well as cold beverages from the fridge. My daughter & I ordered the White Mocha Latte. We enjoyed it! My nephew ordered a Breve. It’s what he always gets, so he must love it! He frequents this place especially after school. They also have WhereUChill, which is their ice blended signature espresso with milk. The name, WhereUChill, sounds funny! My sister-in-law had been wanting to bring my daughter & I here for a while and I am glad she finally got the chance to!

WhereUBean is very conveniently located near restaurants, including Spinato’s. It has a cute and cozy atmosphere, and has a good local vibe. It is a relatively quiet coffee shop; they have a few tables and couches inside with lots of seating availability, so it’s a good place to grab a coffee and study for the finals. They have good wifi connectivity. I received nice service from the barista, and the prices are similar to Starbucks(see picture for menu). The Americano tasted like it was well-brewed. I wish they will have more customers in the future — I couldn’t ask for more in a coffee shop.

We watched the barista carefully make our drinks the way we wanted. Really friendly service and simple, delicious coffee! Just the way I like it =) Comfy couches, really relaxed atmosphere, and seems really laid back. Good(fast) wifi, good service, and good coffee. What else can you ask for in a coffee shop?
