Stopped in on a Thursday morning around 8:45. Parking lot is not very big. There were 2 other tables with guests. I would say the place seats about 30, but I didn’t count chairs. If there was a wait, you’d have to stand outside. Inside is neat and clean and decorated«country quaint» — not my style, but not unpleasant. I didn’t visit the bathroom so I can’t comment on its cleanliness. There was one server on, who was friendly but nervous/inexperienced. She greeted me and brought coffee right away. Service was quicker than I expected based on other reviews. I’d guess it took less than 10 minutes for my food to come out. Coffee was good. Ordered an omelet with spinach, mushrooms, and provolone, home fries, brioche toast, and a side of sausage. I recently moved here from Philly, so I have higher standards for what constitutes a good breakfast place based on highly-rated restaurants like Sabrina’s, Morning Glory, Honey’s, etc. I have to say, the breakfast at Nook and Kranny is as good as I have ever had at any of those places. First and foremost, the omelet was perfect. The eggs were fluffy and light but still substantial. The fillings were obviously fresh, high quality, and well seasoned. The home fries — some people might call them breakfast potatoes because they’re sliced and not diced — were crisp and delicious, seasoned with paprika. The sausage was flavorful and came in a generous portion, included in the price of the omelet. The brioche toast, though — if you go, GETTHEBRIOCHETOAST. You will thank me.(Also available were white, multigrain, and rye.) Total cost was $ 12.70 before tip — a very good deal. I will definitely be back.

This place is a small café with high end food! My parents and my girlfriend and I frequent the place(not enough)! The ONLY reason I gave it a 4 rather that 5 star rating is because it is relatively small. But then again, that’s part of what makes it special!!!

Just right! This place is the perfect brunch stop everyday. Omlettes are light and fluffy, sandwiches are made of great fresh bread and ingredients. Coffee is heavenly and the ambience is sunny, cozy and indulgent. I would give this place five stars, but I reserve that for World Class. This is the best brunch place around.

Went here for the first time today and got the ultimate breakfast sandwich with potatoes and my boyfriend got their breakfast special. The food was amazing and the service was even better! The owner was our waitress and she was very personable! Overall we loved the cozy vibe and we will definitely be back. :)

Would probably give 3.5 stars. Was expecting a little more based on previous reviews. We went early on a weekday. Food was good for both me and my wife. My over MEDIUM Eggs were undercooked. Everything else was fine. Coffee was good. Service was good. Again nothing sensational. Would definitely return and try something else

My wife and I are regulars in Sundays for breakfast. We arrived on 12−13−15 for breakfast we were turned away due to a Santa something or other going on. Reservations only. This really rubbed us the wrong way today. We will go back but my thoughts have changed.

This place is charming and the food is delicious. I stumbled on it while I was in the area for a wedding and looking for breakfasty food. My boyfriend tried scrapple for the first time here, and they really did it justice. I wish I lived closer so I could go all the time!

My girlfriend and I went here for a late breakfast today, and absolutely loved it. We tried both the sweet and savory grits and they were absolutely delicious and super creamy. We then both ordered breakfast sandwiches and were very pleased with portions they gave. The bacon was nice and big, and was cooked perfectly(not too crispy!). The atmosphere was very cozy and inviting. This is absolutely my new favorite breakfast place around Phoenixville!

Locally-owned small business that consistently turns out delicious meals. The portions are very generous, so come hungry. The harvest chicken salad is enough for 2 meals for a guy with a good appetite. The scrapple was done to perfection — crispy on the outside with a warm, soft center. The sandwiches are huge. The soups are homemade. The service can be a bit slow or fragmented, but that is part of the charm. Plan to sit and enjoy; this is not fast food.

My wife and I took our 5 year old daughter for breakfast today and it was fantastic! Pancakes were great and the chipped beef was really good. We got there early and left by 9 and the restaurant was already full. Cute place and I highly recommend it!

We arrived with high hopes, we left 90 minutes later quite disappointed. The slowest service we have ever encountered at breakfast in the area. Waitress seemed flustered. Snapped at us to wait by the door as she cleaned off the table. Two empty tables were«reserved,» however, they sat empty for quite some time. It took 1 hour before food was on our table. We were back by the counter with a view of the kitchen. Maybe it was just an off day. Kitchen staff was in no hurry. 2nd waitress spent nearly all of her time adding up the bills with a calculator rather than assist with the tables. Just seemed disorganized, no cohesion or energy. Other patrons asked multiple times where their food was… Food was decent, bacon a bit chewy, but french toast and egg sandwich were delicious. Potatoes came out soggy although I had asked for extra crispy. There was confusion over the type of bagel I ordered. No biggy, just went along with the theme of disorder. Overall, we fully intend to return. It’s a quaint place, off the beaten track a bit, with plenty of potential. I’d imagine, based on the reviews, our visit was more of an anomaly. We hope to update with more positive thoughts next time around. This time it truly missed the mark.

I used to love this place! Their eggs Benedict was amazing, but they have since switched to canned hollandaise and the service has been kind of lacking lately. Still a cute little place to stop for a quick, cheap bite for breakfast. Coffee is decent!

If you’re looking for a restaurant with homemade everything and very reasonable prices then nook and kranny is your best bet. I’m picky when it comes to breakfast food and I gotta tell you, everything I had here was beyond perfect. I got the frittata, French toast, omelettes and even lunch sandwiches and every single time I was satisfied. Don’t let the location trick you it’s very hidden but those are the best ones, am I right? Yup

Great place for breakfast and lunch. You definitely want to get here early though, since it’s a small place and will fill up fast. The frittata is delicious(you can add as many things as you want), the scrapple is cooked just the way I like it, and their eggs benedict is cooked perfectly. During our last visit, I tried their cream chipped beef on a Belgium waffle(the perfect mix of sweet and salty), and my husband go the corned beef hash with home fries. Both were amazing, and the service is always great. They always have good specials, and even a special coffee brew. If you go in the Fall, you should definitely get their Pumpkin coffee. You can BYOB as well! Who doesn’t love a mimosa with brunch?!

When it comes to a short and sweet, eclectic and delicious breakfast… just enjoy it. Home fries are AMAZING… Scrapple has to be crisped by a buttered pan… Coffee is sent straight from the gods…

This place is so cute I love everything about it. The small dining area, the quaint décor, their plates and silverware, everything is so cute here. I also love their sign, I took a photo, it’s real homely. So I had the frittata and it was delicious. The eggs were cooked exactly right, not overdone, not underdone, just right! The coffee was okay. I mean I’ve had better but this was okay. The prices here are also good. I guess the only thing I didn’t like about this place is how long it took for me to get my food. It wasn’t busy so I didn’t think it would take too long. I’m not sure if that’s a chef issue or if service was just slow. But hey it was well worth the wait.

Great, homey feel with very delicious food. The atmosphere is very cozy and snug. We were lucky to have come in right after a lunch rush so we did not have to wait for a table, but it was still a full house. The food was delicious, going above and beyond all of our expectations. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The wait for the food, which is not as long as some make it out to be, is well worth it as it is a tell tale sign that is freshly prepared. I highly recommend this for a great Breakfast, Brunch, and/or Lunch experience. Can’t wait for my next trip to Nook and Kranny Kafe!!!

New favorite breakfast place. This used to be the Bookend Café, which has good food, but this is just so much better. The lady owner who is in the front of the house is very friendly and the best host. Everything is fresh, delicious and specials are inventive. We had the Italian Frittata(Prosciutto, Tomatoes, Onions, Parmesan) and blueberry french toast. Get the multigrain toast. They are from LeBus and served as perfectly toasted inch thick slices. Can’t wait to go back and try more.
