HORRIBLE. I’ve been to this place a few times and have never been particularly thrilled but this last time was the absolute worst. My stylist, Emily, was rude and completely full of herself. Talked down to me like I knew nothing about hair, despite the fact I’ve been getting my hair cut and colored basically my whole life. I think I’ve learned a thing or two in my years of getting hair services, probably more than Emily after seeing what she did to my hair. And quite honestly, I could have gone to the walmart salon and gotten a better haircut. Not only was my hair completely uneven by about two inches(I have photos), it is by far the worst hair cut I have ever had. My color was also uneven and this salon tried to hide behind their stupid disclaimer because they felt the fact I had put box color on my hair was the issue, which is such crap. So what’s the excuse for the uneven hair cut? I got 5 inches cut off my hair when I asked for 1 inch. The layers weren’t even blended correctly. My hair is curly and Emily blew out my hair to a completely puffy mess where I couldn’t even see what was going on with my hair and I can’t believe she was going to let me walk out that way. When I asked to have it fixed, I was charged another $ 20 to flat iron since she apparently doesn’t know how to use the hair dryer either. And she was so irritated that I asked her to fix it that she kept dropping combs and complaining about how awful and tangly my hair is, as if my hair was the problem. After going in the next day to show the owner what happened, The owner, offered to «try» and fix my hair to cover up the mistake but only to a different color, that I did not want. Mind you, the entire time we were discussing my hair issues, Emily was allowed to stand in the background completely belligerent with her hand on her hip attempting to defend her work. TOTALLY unprofessional and I was shocked the owner allowed this behavior. Initially when I asked for a refund, the answer was absolutely not and I was only given the option of trying to fix it. Well, after experiencing the lack of professionalism and respect for customers, I didn’t exactly feel comfortable having anyone from that place touch my hair. Thankfully, I went to Joseph Anthony in Glen Mills where they actually know how to do hair and won’t make you sign waivers. go figure. My hair is beautiful, shiny and silky and I got an amazing cut, color for almost the SAMEPRICE. And the stylist blew out my hair perfectly. SO I guess having BOXCOLORONMYHAIRREALLYHASNOTHINGTODOWITHWHATEMILYATPANACHEDIDTOMYHAIR. What’s even more ridiculous is after threatening to take matters further, now the salon has offered me a refund under the condition I tell NOONE what happened. Well, ya know what? I’d rather save someone the trouble of dealing with this horrible place. They should have just offered me a refund no strings attached, because asking me to tell no one just upset me more. I shouldn’t have to settle by being silenced just to get my money back.

The staff was really nice. That’s the only positive thing I have to say about them. It was very over priced for what I got($ 65 for a style! No cut, no highlights, no wash.) I had my hair done for prom last year and the hair dresser didn’t really listen to what I wanted. She made my hair look really over processed, almost crunchy looking. Which was confusing because my hair is naturally curly and all I wanted was it to be half up half down. She put way too much product in it. She pulled it so tight I instantly got a head ache and the half up part looked like it was held down with glue. She also charged me extra because my hair was«so thick» that it would take extra time. Luckily I was meeting everyone at my friend’s house and her mom was a hair dresser and was able to fix it.

I have been a client of Panache for some time. Over the last year, I have been a regular client of Amanda for cuts and highlights. What strikes me most about Amanda is that she consults with you before you get your hair washed and really listens to the type of cut you are describing, and takes into account the shape of your face, your lifestyle and the time you have available to style your hair. She’s also not afraid to offer suggestions to make your cut manageable and most complimentary to your features. I have also used the massage therapy services at Panache. My husband gave me the«Panache Classic Spa Package» for a gift and I met with Karen Beth. She takes time to talk with you about any problem areas she should avoid/pay attention to. I have nerve damage in my left shoulder and was very gentle and attentive to any discomfort when focusing on that area. Panache also offers packages at a discount mid-week for cut/color services, so give them a call and ask.
