We’ve been to Sips many times for brunch, and it’s always awesome. Croissants, house made jam, and BOTTOMLESSMIMOSAS/BLOODY MARY’S/BELLINI’S!!! Oh and some great entrees. We went there for dinner for our anniversary and the staff were so sweet to us– they put a sparkler in our desert and worked together to hide it until they got to the table. So thoughtful. I can’t wait to attend a Sips After Dark Event!

Found a Groupon and decided to go. Dinner and service was wonderful. From the corn soup, mussels to the chocolate bread pudding. My side was not delivered with the dinner and the waiter apologized and brought me a free glass of wine. We will definitely go back again soon.

A little ways off the more beaten path(off Bridge St.), we found the atmosphere and food very nice. The grilled octopus appetizer was fabulous. The Halibut came recommended(over the Red Fish special) and was delicious; the Morels and Fava beans balanced nicely with a perfectly cooked filet. Even though we were sated with a very good meal, we almost suffered from buyer’s remorse as we smelled the off-the-bone Rib special on our way out… mmm… While the service was prompt, it was… not special(neither good nor bad). There are a number of different seating areas, making the ambiance flexible. We sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air. Based upon our first experience, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Excellent food, never disappoints! Typically, we sit at the bar — tonight, we sat at an outdoor table. I wish more would appreciate this restaurant but I also like my kept secret. The bartender on the weekend is great, the owner comes around to check on everyone. Tonight we went light and had a cheese board, mussels with white wine(to die for). In the past our dinners have always been amazing! Try it out — you will not be let down.

So we found this place because of Groupon. Then we found out they do all you can eat Mussels on Mondays. SWEET! We arrived, to a nicely lit bar/high top room. We took a seat at the high top. We placed our drink order. I ordered the spike lemonade, which came out PERFECT. 10⁄10 bar tender skillz. GF& I got truffle mac and cheese for an app — TOTALINSANITY. It was so good. Perfecto. We got some sliced bread with chilled butter balls. Yes. We both ordered mussels. Between the 2 of us, we tried all the different flavors. The thai curry was BYFAR the best. The last one I had, was white wine and bleu cheese crumbles. KILLITWITHFIRE. While I understand in THEORY, this SHOULD have been a really good flavor combo, it just wasn’t executed well. It needs tweaking or 86 it from the menu. We had the crème-brulee and the warm apple tart for desert. Both were AWESOME. ALLINALL, WEWOULDDEFINITELYCOMEBACKHERE! Just stay away from the blue cheese flavor of mussels.

Waited till it opened(30 minutes) …so we could try this place(for me once before, for my other half first time). We had the fried foie gras. It was foie tastic. We also had the charred Spanish octopus with potatoe, chorizo, roasted tomato and romesco sauce, and steak frites. Freaking delicious. We lost words and only communicated with sound. Andrew was fantastic. We sat at the bar and he gave us his favs on the menu whether it wine, food or one of their specialty cocktails. Go to there! Go there now.

This was my 2nd visit to Sips and it has become my new favorite. A group of 10 met there today for brunch and it was terrific. My French omelette was perfect, the«bottomless Bloodies and Mimosas can’t be beat, but nothing tops the service. The staff is delightful all around and our waiter Andrew was absolutely charming and efficient. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed a meal here after that disaster which was wine tasting in Oaks PA(that was something I’ll never do again), if you like sweet wine and nick-nacks by all means go forth(had to correct my grammar). Anywho onto sips, we went for dinner had the French onion soup which was tasty as well as chorizo and octopus both were good. The fish special bass with a white sauce(truffle added to it) potatoes, mushrooms, I think leeks it was amazing. The fish was cooked perfectly, the boyfriend was dipping his fries in the sauce which were also good by the way. He had a burger, it was a good burger but my fish was way better. We also had the lemon blueberry ricotta cake which was good, it needed more lemon curd and it would’ve been GREAT! If I was in the area I would go back for sure! Don’t forget your Unilocal deal when you go!

Great atmosphere, good food & tasty beer — honestly, that’s all a man(or woman) needs. My girlfriend & I went on a spontaneous Monday date night. It was a great time and the staff was wondeful. Overall a super solid place. Seems like a good time for some beers & wine at the bar or a spontaneous dinner date. Check it out, Pistol pete

Excellent experience. The steak frite was amazing and I’ve never had a mushroom soup as wonderful as the mushroom cappuccino. I highly recommend this place! Saturday night, very professional staff, no waits. Everything brought to our table on time and with the most professionalism from James. He was very knowledgeable about the entrees and«spot on» with his descriptions which made for an excellent dining experience. We live 50 miles away and we will most definitely be back!

Went here for the first time on New Year’s Eve for a nice dinner. We sat at a high top table in the bar area and it was cozy. I was very impressed by the level of professionalism of our server and the food was absolutely delicious. We split some appetizers which were all good, but my main course(king Alaskan salmon) was out of this world. Will definitely be returning.

Cocktails and service were on point, as always, but unfortunately we chose the Prix Fixe menu for New Years Eve and we were really disappointed. We were looking forward to trying the chef’s choice menu where we would expect appropriately portioned and palatable food; instead we were served huge potions of stuff that wasn’t of the quality one would expect from Sips Bistro. The flavors were off-putting and the over-cooked meats and room temperature raw seafood could not be masked by each of the elegantly plated, HUGE and wasteful courses.

I’ve been wanting to get here for a while. Well, i’m certainly glad I did. The service was top notch, and the management came around to double check on us during our meal. They have many of the popular French bistro items available. Looks like there was a picture of Salad de Lyonaisse on their website but I didn’t see it on the menu, or it surely would’ve been ordered. We started with the cheese plate, which didn’t disappoint. I got the Kronenbourg Wit, which was on tap. Tasty. My companion ordered the seared scallops, which were prepared perfectly atop a butternut squash purée, accompanied by roasted brussel sprouts. I went straight for the steak frites. Awesome! If all that weren’t good enough, the crème brûlée was outstanding… but wait… they also had one of favorite, and seldom seen bourbons(Blanton’s) available too. I savored every last drop with the dessert, and enjoyed it thoroughly. This should be a 4.5 star review, really. The only thing that slightly took away from the experience was the cold air blowing in every time the patio door was opened. For some reason, the door just wouldn’t shut properly when patrons would go out, and that cold breeze was a tad too brisk for us. Looking forward to heading back soon!

I chose this restaurant because there was a Groupon. I never would have chosen this place otherwise. I thought the food was going to be basic. They proved me wrong! The food was phenomenal. My favorite was their mac & cheese. I tried about six of their dishes and was not disappointed with any of them. All of the dishes surpassed my expectations. The chef is amazing. I am going to recommend this restaurant to everyone probably for the next few months. Bravo!

From a bar experience standpoint, you can’t go wrong. They have the best scotch and whisky collection in town, and aside from Bluebird, the only place to get a cocktail made right. The bar atmosphere is great and Sips after dark is a blast. One of the bartenders always remembers my drink order and makes the experience worthwhile every time. I haven’t ordered any food yet, but people I went with twice did and were disappointed by both the taste and the quality for the high price. I also know plenty of people who rave about the meals, so perhaps consistency is the issue.

Went for happy hr and ordered the fish tacos and couldn’t believe what was brought out to me — FISHSTICKS. Who the hell in their right mind thinks that would be a good idea, especially for a restaurant that is going for a more upscale image. I can buy frozen fish sticks at the giant, I’m not going to come out to a restaurant and pay $ 13 for two of them. Other than that the service and drinks were pretty good. I would like to give this place another shot but I don’t know if I can get past the frozen fish sticks presented as «fish tacos».

I had dinner at this restaurant for the first time on Sunday, September 13 for a party of 4. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. I had a Croque Monsier sandwich with a side salad. I also had a Roasted Peaches dessert and a beverage from the bar. The sandwich was cooked to perfection and the multiple flavors of the sandwich were evident and delicious. The dessert was equally as delicious. Our server was very friendly and we felt very well taken care of and never rushed. I would most certainly return to this restaurant again.

Went with my wife to Sips for her birthday and enjoyed it so much we came back for our anniversary. In our last visit, we started with the fromage plate, which was exquisite. I ordered the Shrimp and Scallop, and it was served over a really delicious roasted corn relish. My wife had the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes and raved about them. The waiter was great and very social, putting us at ease. We were too stuffed to have dessert, but we’re definitely looking forward to our next visit.

If I could rate with only zero stars I would. The food — meh. The service was subpar and the owners attitude was very sad. There is no customer service here and the heath department should visit both the bar area and the restrooms. The restrooms were out of soap and the floors were wet. Is it true the restrooms represent the kitchen? My main course was cold. Upon complaining I was told they would take it back but there would be an extra charge. Yes an extra charge. How disappointing. I could eat better in an Ebola filled third world country. Sips? Try chunks because this place blows chunks and I will not be back.

From start to finish, this was one of the greatest meals in a restaurant I have ever had. My wife and I were celebrating a new job, so we decided to splurge. We got cocktails, entrees, and desserts for the both of us and our total bill ended up sliding in just over $ 100 after tip. My wife had the Coq au Vin, I had the crab cakes. Every single element of both dishes were absolutely delicious. As a general rule I don’t like cabbage, but the bacon braised cabbage that came with the crab cakes was delicious. We both had the Crème Brulee for dessert: it was the perfect model of a great Crème Brulee. The atmosphere was unique and inviting, simultaneously laid back and upscale. I would feel equally comfortable dressed up or casually dressed at Sips. The staff were courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. Sips is not a place to go if you aren’t ready to lighten your wallet, but if you want to celebrate something or treat yourself, I would recommend Sips over any other restaurant I’ve tried in the area. My one and only complaint: The«Whipped Pear» cocktail is WAY too sweet. My wife and I both couldn’t handle any more after just a few sips. Their signature margarita, however, is just as delicious as everything else.
