National recognized pastry shop right here. I got eclairs and a strawberry and blueberry cream cheese King cake. Everything was good, but very very rich. The eclairs were so sweet I could t eat all of it. The king cake was delicious! Next time I’ll try a bigger variety, and that’s something they definitely have here! They make cakes to order, King cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and all other delicacies! Stop by you won’t be disappointed!

We had it shipped to South Carolina. The bread was squished in a few spots causing some of the filling to come out. Overall the cake was pretty good, no major complaints.

Been getting king cakes for the family, friends and office here for 5 years now. Hands down the best and I from New Orleans. I eat king cake almost every day from New years to Mardi Gras so I tasted about all of them. Love the bread and the icing, just wish Picayune was a little closer. but it still worth my annual trip. It so nice to compare the friendly service in Picayune compared to the service I get here in NOLA. So many more smiles and friendlier service and helpful too. I wish more people could experience this and bring that attitude back home. I also like to window shop when I come here. They are certainly a creative bunch.

This is my must stop every year on the way to the big easy. .corn crab bisque in the bread bowl. Talk about creamy goodness. Then there’s the wall to wall pastries. This is just a nice clean lunch spot that I alway enjoy.

There is icing on EVERYTHING here and it’s not the good kind. It taste like store bought/Walmart kind. I was very disappointed; my mother and I drove here from Hattiesburg because she had had it 10 years ago and wanted to try it again. Two stars for the Baklava and the service. Great Baklava– if not a little pricey. Great service even though it was mostly(high schoolers?) I would come back JUST for the baklava and that’s it. The rest: Petit fours had no almond flavoring in the white ones– that’s pretty much what makes petit fours! I had bought 3 of them as they’re one of my favorite sweets. Was pretty much awestruck and disappointed to taste one so bland. It was like eating cake with some powdered sugar frosting. The decorative topping on it was like one of those cake toppers– again– from a store. Seriously, I adore petit fours but these were just so bad. Sugar cookies had a good cookie part but frosting was terrible. Scraped it off. The brownies were also bland and didn’t have that kick of chocolate you want to taste when eating one. The icing was creamy/soft, though, which made for a nice texture. We got a few other pieces to taste but they weren’t memorable. We pretty much threw out a whole box out of the two. Spent close to $ 25 dollars which was NOT worth it.

I just had a lemon petit four from Paul’s, and it was so cute and delicious! My sister got a caramel petit four and my parents got cookies. We loved it! The desserts are so fun to look at and so pretty and everything tastes amazing! I’ll definitely be stopping here every time I’m in Picayune.

King cake is not the best I have had. It’s topped with sugar not icing. But it is yummy. Lots of recommendations from people. Try it. Cheap prices.

Paul’s Pastry makes the best King Cake in Dixie! I recommend the pecan praline cheese filled!

The best King Cake in NOLA isn’t in NOLA, It isn’t even in Louisiana. It is a short jog up 59, Exit 6, at Paul’s Pastry Shop. I was introduced to this delicate delight at the Visitors Center. It is AWESOME! I have the Pecan Praline King Cake, delicate, not too sweet glaze on top with a sprinkling of pecans. And the filling, whooooa Nellie, the filling is sublime. Not too sweet, not too thick, just perfect. I’ve lost count of the number of times I have been disappointed by so called AMAZING king cakes in the 504. Randazzos, man they stopped trying ages ago. I go to get a king cake, and leave with an oversized cinnamon roll covered in icing and a crunchy sugar crust. DONOTSETTLE! Food should be a love affair, and King Cake, is a Cultural Achievement and a Cultural Legacy. So, until the NOLA shops come to their senses and make a decently priced King Cake worthy of the Carnival season, take a small drive to Picayune, Mississippi to Paul’s Pastry Shop. Your guests will rave, and turn absolutely Pea Green with envy at the caliber of the King Cake that your have at your next soirée. As always, your Big Easy Daddy.

I’ve had lunch here many times and experienced everything from very good to not so good. Today I had lunch with co-workers there and decided to write a review. It seems that the specials are always pretty special. Both of my friends had the«Special» Filet mignon with Ranch potatoes, drink, & dessert for $ 12.95. Wow! Looked delicious and they both licked their plates! I, unfortunately, ordered the Club sandwich. Boo, hiss. It was just 2 slices of bread filled with processed turkey, ham, turkey and a fake slice of cheese. No bacon, the sandwich was not layered nor was it cut into triangles. Obviously«Paul» has never had a REAL club sandwich! The plate came with a packet of mayonnaise and yellow mustard, some lettuce, 4 pickle slices, 2 tiny tomato shavings, and a red onion ring. Yep, all of that was $ 8.17. Oh, also came with an un-sweet tea and a snack-sized bag of chips. Yuck-o. Should have had the special!

I ordered a cake from here before and t was great. I went here the other day and was helped out by a really nice girl. I had a vision of what I wanted in my mind and she was fantastic at getting that onto paper. I also had coffee and ate baklava while here and that was good also. They have a huge selection of cakes in here and if you have a special request they can help you out. Looking forward to pickng up the cake on Saturday and will post a pic.

WONDERFUL!!! Can’t be beat! I had lunch there this week. The food is awesome! They have daily lunch specials that are great and they also have regular menu items. They have a full line of bakery goods too. The best king cake! Can’t wait to go back!
