Capitol Fence

One of the most unprofessional places I have been graced with doing business with. The owner gave the quote quickly and I paid my ¹⁄₃ for them to order supplies. Was told the job would be started on a Wednesday and completed the next day on Thursday and the remainder would be charged upon completion of work… wrong. He sent a 3 man crew and they started last Wednesday, but they came after 5pm worked for 1 hr, had an hour worth of break and left. drilled a gas post drill in the neighbor’s grass and left it there overnight. Next day, they show up at 11am and was here until approx 6pm, mind you they spent half that time on break, they decided to take some of their break lounging on my patio set. again they left the post drill drilled in my grass and a bunch of trash, tools, and etc. all over my yard, idiots. called and let the owner Robert Hulvey know how dissatisfied I was that this job is taking longer, mainly because the workers were dragging their feet and taking way too many breaks. It was a three man crew, but one guy sat in his red truck literally the whole time. Next day they were not here at 10:30am as the owner promised the work would be done today, so I called to let him know again how dissatisfied I was with his workers, they finally showed up at noon and the owner even stopped by the site today for a few minutes also, but never came to my door or returned my phone call from the morning. Needless to say the workers again were working when they wanted to, my wife had to call from an unknown number to get the owner to answer the phone, he said again the work would be done today, and he would call me with an update on the progress. 1 worker left at 2, the other 2 left at 5, and the work is still not done. I tried to call him 5 times and again he will not answer, he will not answer my wife’s calls either. This is ridiculous, and I definitely wished we had searched a little deeper into this company. They are not prompt at all, do not clean up their site, and works when they want to, and also disconnected my auto watering system to get water on both sides of the hose and just left them disconnected.
Definitely unprofessional and not worth the money. We should have asked if the owner was going to be part of the crew, and if not, we should have kept looking.

Pick a better fence contractor. These guys suck… BAD!
***UPDATE****
Got a letter from the City of Hilliard that we are in violation, due to no building permit being filed.
We specifically asked about the permit and he said they would take care of everything, and a permit was not needed since it was a new build with stake markers still in tact… Wrong! We still have the quote that he listed the permit was «Not Applicable» for this work… We are filing for the permit now and if we have to redo any of this project, We will be taking them to court if they do not correct it. I will post an update once completed…
