The food is generally good. We ordered the Lamb Kabobs and the Greek Bowl. The Lamb was very very hard to chew, it was cooked medium. I think they are selling a poor grade of lamb. Jon liked his Greek Bowl, but didn’t get full. The prices are good. The cost was $ 32.00. I might order something different next time.

The food here is not worth the price attached to it. McDonald’s is gourmet compared to here the chicken tastes like cinnamon only and the hummus is not fresh it has to come out of a can! Not authentic by no means! Do not waste your money I can almost bet most of the reviews on here came from the people that work here.

What an amazing meal experience we had here! Other than maybe having ocean sounds on the music and fans spraying salty mist on you making you feel like you were sitting at a Greek seaside restaurant there was little left to be desired here. We started with fried calamari which were good. They came with two dipping sauces one of which was a Turkish salad. OHMY I could totally eat that with a spoon it was rich and satisfying with a bold heat but not overpowering it was splendid. Then I had the regular gyro with Greek fries. The gyro was HUGE and delicious. The mead was plentiful and perfectly seasoned and moist. The house dressing was totally on point as well. Now let’s talk about the Greek fries. They were a treat in themselves. Lightly battered fries that were served piping hot crispy outside and creamy inside served with house dressing and feta cheese on top. They were to die for! Eventually I had to ask our server to take them away I was stuffed and just kept eating them because they were there and so good. It’s a definite must try. BTW it’s a good idea to share an order of fries unless you have a huge appetite. Our service was super friendly and prompt. We will absolutely be back!

The food is good, but they hand out essentially fake coupons that are online only despite not saying that anywhere on the coupon. We recently went there because they’d given my wife a coupon for $ 10 off that they then refused to honor when we payed our check, so just beware of their promotional tactucs, but the food is very good.

Amazing food at great prices. I had the homemade pita bread I asked them to make it well done. Then I enjoyed the fresh hummus, spicy chicken rice with calamari which was perfectly cooked. Really good food and great service. Not much on the ambience level not quite sure what the décor theme was but the Greek sauce they serve makes you forget the kind of cluttered décor. They also sell that sauce by the half pound and pound to go. On Wednesdays the long islands(yes they are strong) are only $ 2.99. My advice, bring a designated driver!

Pretty good place. Servers were very friendly and very respectful. Atmosphere was pretty nice. Food was good. I ordered a turkey burger, broccoli and sweet potato fries. The fries were very good! My only complaint is the bathrooms were dirty and smelled awful! Also the female waste basket was so full in both stalls. Probably part of the problem with the smell.

I can’t help get the taste of the rice out of my head. It wasn’t horrible or anything, my tastebuds just weren’t feeling it. Too much cinnamon? It didn’t mesh well with the meat taste from the lamb chunks. Any even those were nothing to brag about. Not bad, just didn’t leave a lasting impression. At least not enough to keep me coming back for more. In time, I’m sure I’ll find myself back here, just might take me a bit longer than other places.

I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed Café Med! Everything on the menu is prepared with care and is DELICIOUS. I’ve not had one bad thing here. As for service, there are always some high school age staff working and every single one of them is so professional, which in my experience is not always the case with the young folk :) They must have great training for their waitstaff as it’s apparent.

Stopped here with the wife for lunch. Cheap, excellent food and service was terrific! We started with hummus and slices of pita… delicious! Next, we had traditional gyros that had plenty of meat, toppings and sauce. We also ordered fries to share that were crispy and fresh… overkill considering the other food we ordered. Baklava for dessert was the perfect ending to the meal!

Café Mediterranea is a great option for Mediterranean food in the eastern Columbus suburbs. The atmosphere is much more casual than many of the other Mediterranean restaurants, but it’s still clean and comfortable. The wait staff was pleasant and warm. My only complaint is that my water was never refilled when I had finished the glass halfway through my meal. They were quick in cooking the food and it was brought directly out. I had the falafel bowel made spicy. It was delicious and deceivingly filling. In the past I’ve ordered the spicy chicken gyro which is also delicious but difficult to eat. For checking in on Unilocal!I received a free dessert of my choosing. I picked the chocolate ball since I’ve hear a lot about them. I was not disappointed. Overall I highly suggest this restaurant if you’re in the area and are craving Mediterranean food. It’s not the absolute best of its kind and nothing fancy, but it’s still very good.

Just came back from this place and I have to say that this place is absolutely added to my new Favorite List! Everything I had hear so far was really good. I had the lamb kabobs which were cooked perfectly to my liking(medium) and was very flavorful with a hint of cinnamon which was interestingly good. My boyfriend had the gyro which was good as well but very messy to eat! Hummus was good… salad too… everything was! It’s just fresh! The drinks are cheap and the cocktails are strong, I really love the specials they have on certain days. **They NOLONGERHAVECORONASPECIALSEVERYDAY*** just a warning because no one mentioned that, just Tuesdays. They do have different specials on week days. What was the cherry on top was the live band which really set my good mood while feelings that slight buzz. Tracie Marie And Blue Levels played and they were really good, they play 1st Wed of each month so I’m not sure how often they have live bands but I definitely recommend to go during the time. They also honored the free dessert for checking in on Unilocal which seems to confused the waiter but it was no issue. Everything was awesome! The wait for food was a bit long but it didn’t bother me because I still enjoyed myself. Our waiter was friendly, the rest of the staff seemed eh. But anyways, I would definitely come back!

I read a number of very positive reviews so I had high hopes upon finding this place. Frankly, don’t waste your time. We decided to sit at the bar, which was not being tended unless someone happened to decide to stop and see if we needed anything. It took about 15 – 20 minutes to get drinks. There was minimal follow up and I had to flag the staff down to place orders for food. The food… nothing special and expensive. The atmosphere is extremely casual but their menu prices were equivalent to a higher end Mediterranean restaurant.

I have eaten here so many times and I always get the regular gyro, so I thought I’d change it up a bit and I got the chicken gyro instead. I will be going back to the regular gyro. I was actually a little embarrassed because I more than once had to spit out a chunk of gristle into my napkin. It had fantastic flavor, but it had so much gristle in it that in the end, I only ate about half the gyro. I’m still giving the place 4 stars because the regular gyros and the tzatziki are wonderful, and the greek fries alone are worth going in for.

First time here. Very disappointed. Definitely overpriced. We ordered the chicken kabob and lamb kabob. The lamb was O K. The chicken was extremely dry and overcooked. The vegetables were soggy and charred. The only thing good to say about this place was that the staff was friendly. I will stick to Café Euphesis and Café Istanbul.

The employees are very welcoming and nice. The food is delicious & reasonably priced. The quality is superb. I love this Greek restaurant. Great for parties/groups or a couples date night. Very accommodating. TRYTHEGREEKFRIES!

Yucky, but good service and clean location :-) I didn’t care too much for the good, but good drinks.

Ambrosia. That’s what the Greek french fries are. Maybe I don’t know any better because great Greek food is rare in my Wisconsin hometown, but I know what I like. These Greek fries are great! The gyro is fine(a little spicy) and the hummus is very good. Can’t comment on the service as it was a online order(very handy for a weary traveller) but it was a great value for the quality. I’ll be back when I come back to Ohio!

I thought I misread the sign, but I didn’t, $ 1 coronas. Nope, not a happy hour price, one… dollar… coronas. Find a designated driver and get yourself over here! While there is a lot of meat, fries and deep fried items on the menu, there are healthy options as well in there. Friendly service, and quick delicious food. Did I mention $ 1 coronas?

Being a foodie originally from Detroit make one a tuff critic when it comes to Greek and Middle Eastern food . Well thus place is not up to Detroit standards /but I am in Columbus Ohio. Gyro pita was not warmed up. You need to set them on the grill. They also add lettuce to a gyro which it did not say on menu. I think this happens at most places without a huge cultural influence. It is not tzatziki sauce on gyro and is the same on the Greek salad. Problem with Unilocal and traveling you look in advance when driving and you hold off too long and you imagine it being the best you ever had by the reviews. Then it’s not. I should be happy for $ 13 but I am saying ho hum. 3 stars would not be fair as the locals love it. Hope you have better luck than I. Service was great!

With our favorite greek restaurant closing a little over a year ago, my husband and I were on the look for a new one… I think we found it! With this being our first trip, we decided to order a few things to try: Greek Fries, Falafel Salad, Pastasico, Gyro, and one Chocolate ball 1. The Greek Fries were great… I miss the lemon sauce that I’ve previously had. but the fries were nice and crisp, and they chef definitely did not hold back on the feta! 2. The falafel salad was good as well… I love, LOVE the dressing! The large is enough to share for 2 to have an entrée size salad or a group to have side salads… very large. I have plenty of left overs. 3. Pastasico(my husband’s pick) appeared a little dry, but they do provide a sauce which made it a little better. 4. Gyro per my husband was excellent… no left overs! 5. The chocolate ball was a little too rich and dense for me, but my husband loved it We will definitely be making a return trip… if you check in with your app, you get 15% off of your bill!
