Over two years ago I gave a one star review after the owner gave me the most awful Brazilian wax. Recently they went under new ownership and contacted me about my prior experience even though it had been so long since it happened. They offered apologies and ended up giving me some complimentary services– I just used them today along with some services I added and paid for. I had a full body massage, facial, and mani pedi. All four girls who worked on me were fantastic– as were the rest of the staff. I was offered water and wine(after my massage and facial). They were all very polite and personable. I had such a relaxing time the entire time I was there. A girl named Jennifer did my facial and Nicole did my massage– she gave the best massage I have EVER had. I’m so glad they contacted me(not just because of the free services) and they have definitely gained back my business! I believe the new owners are a married couple named Phil and Jan and both are very friendly.

I feel compelled to write a review here on behalf of my daughter. Her experience happened years ago, maybe even almost 10 years. But none-the-less, she was a young woman who was taken advantage of. She had purchased hair styling apparatus from them that didn’t even work. When she went back to talk to them about it; they simply would NOT make it right for her. She lost at least $ 60 that she could have used toward school. I’d give them NO stars if I could here. So for this, I will not patronize them nor recommend them to anyone else. If the business owner of this establishment can’t run her business with integrity and keep up the place, then she needs to shut it down. Harsh comments… maybe…but the way I see it, my daughter was treated without consideration… most likely because of her age.

Came here today with a groupon for a massage with Sarah. I had the 50 minute Swedish and it was awesome! I was hesitant that with a groupon I wouldn’t get as great of service but Sarah totally rocked it. She had just the right amount of pressure and I left completely relaxed. Only downside, I wish they had more amenities though. When I hear«spa» I think steam room, sauna, cucumber water, etc. That’s not the case here. If you’re looking for a great massage for a reasonable price that isn’t a chain, this is for you.

I went here for the first time last Saturday, with my sister, for full body massage services. We both enjoyed our massages and felt very relaxed during and afterwards. It’s not your resort style spa, but it offers a warm, cozy, homely environment with a friendly staff. If you’re looking to get massages more frequently, without having to pay the exorbitant resort style spa prices, I recommend this place. I will definitely use their services again.

My experience with J. Nicole Salon and Spa was just so so. My mother and I went in to get manicures and pedicures for my wedding day-neither of us had ever had this done before. The person helping my mother(I can’t remember her name) did a very good job. She was very talkative and nice and really spent quality time working on my mom’s nails. I had Cara and she did give me a really nice pedicure but the manicure was another story. Cara nicked my skin twice while trimming my cuticles during my manicure to the point that my skin wouldn’t stop bleeding. She point a really large gash/hole in the skin about my ring fingernail-the one everyone looks at on your wedding day. If that wasn’t bad enough, she starts doing French polish which I had requested and never had done before. Since I haven’t have it done I don’t know the proper technique but it would seem to me that you would have some sort of guide line when putting on the white polish on your fingertips rather than freehanding it and Cara did just that. The white polish at the ends is very jagged and uneven and she didn’t take the nail polish out to the edges of my fingers. Also we got the shellac manicure which is supposed to last 2 weeks without chipping or cracking. The very next morning, the edges of the polish were peeling up and by the next day, my wedding day, it was already cracking. My mom has had the same thing happen with hers. It’s definitely not worth the money to go here and get scratched up and bleed for something that lasts less than a day and didn’t look that great to begin with.

I have gone to J. Nicoles for 3 years and have never had an issue until last night. I got a hair cut for«long layers» and ended up with 3 layers, 6″ apart, that look like shelves in my hair. My hair is to the middle of my back and now I will have to get at least 5″ cut off to even it out… and I am getting married in June. When I called to get a refund for my terrible haircut, I was told that they do not issue refunds, but will only guarantee service. Why would I want to go back? I have gift cards and would have gone there for other services but am now going to just eat the gift cards and will not go back. It is unfortunate because I do like the salon. I cannot believe that after being a loyal patron for so long, there is not more customer service being provided. Apparently a $ 73 hair cut is worth more to them than a loyal patron.

I’ve been going here for years and I’ve always have had great service. I honestly hate to get hair cuts because I hate to explain what I want(I don’t know what number to use on the razor) after the first trip they just ask if I want the usual, and I happily say, «yes, the usual». They get me in quickly, no waiting, and they offer refreshments from their Starbucks coffee/expresso machine. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Brittany, Mandi, and Nicole all do great work. I never used to go to the same place over and over, but now I’m settled.

Very unhappy with value of service for price. You can get a pedi including callus removal, sugar scrub and paraffin wax for $ 37 at ck nails!!! A spa pedi which doesn’t include that is $ 52 at j Nichole’s. Add in old chairs that are uncomfortable. Sink those high prices into your business! I had been a loyal customer for several years but the lack of investing in the salon accompanied by the continual raising of prices drove me away. I would like to add that this post in no way reflects on Holly. I wish she would change salons as I would go back to her. But I will not spend that kind of money when two out of the three pedicure chairs are either not working properly or so uncomfortable that relaxing is not an option. When I was there last the one chair wasnt working at all, and hadnt been for weeks. The chair I got was so loud that talking to Holly was not possible and the plastic step on the chair was cracked and almost cut open my foot. So sad that such a great location doesnt offer the quality services that it could. If you are charging that much for a service I suggest you repair and upgrade your equipment. As for haircuts, I only made that mistake once. It was nothing special and truly wasnt worth the price I paid.

A day before our last minute trip I called and was able to schedule with Loren. Not only was I grateful for the last minute appointment, Loren did an incredible job on my lashes! They are beautiful! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

My wife got me a gift certificate to J Nicoles. I was sure that(as a man) i would feel uncomfortable going in to a «salon» but it was quite the opposite! They were so friendly, they called me by name when I arrived, and they offered me a beverage before I had my haircut. I felt as if I were a «regular» and I actually enjoyed the visit! On top of all of that, they actually made suggestions as to how my hair should be cut and what I should do to keep my hair looking professional. Bravo team J Nicoles!

I have been going to J Nicole’s for years. They are the only ones I trust with my hard to style hair. They receive extensive training and the cuts and color show it! I have also had and recommend the hot stone massage(an hour of heaven!), waxing, manicures, pedicures, and facials. My entire family(Including chidren) gets their hair done there, also. When I need a treat, my husband send me off to them and I always come home relaxed and happy! I highly recommend.

More than three months ago I wrote a(3 sentence review) on Unilocal about the fact that after 12 years of loyal patronage I wasn’t going to go to JNicoles anymore due to repeated errors in scheduling, poor customer service and price increases. The salon has chosen to list their business on social media outlets to generate advertising for their salon. Of course what business wouldn’t love positive reviews but with the good also comes the bad. Unfortunately, I have the bad to share. The efforts that JNicoles has made to get me to remove my negative review have been extreme. My ordeal with this business first started with a call to my residence with a combative inquiry from the scheduler as to why I wrote my post. My response to her was because people have the right to know my personal experience with their business. If others have had great experiences it’s their right to share those positive thoughts too. Since the scolding I got from the scheduler didn’t work they then went to my husband, a loyal customer for at least 3 to 4 years. He was told that he could not receive services from the salon until I removed my post. The treatment he received was disappointing to say the least and probably deserved a call to the BBB, which my husband actually mentioned as an option. I spoke to the BBB and they said my husband had the right to contact them and had a legitimate claim. Throughout this experience I was never contacted by the owner instead she decided to call my place of employment, which was their final bully tactic. When my boss actually called me into her office to discuss this I was shocked so I printed the post for my employer to read and she was amazed that she had been contacted in the first place. She agreed that it was something that shouldn’t have involved her at all. After taking the time to calm down, talk to BBB and my sister who’s an attorney I decided to write this new post because it is my right to. I think the public deserves to hear my personal nightmare with this business and the efforts this business will go to have negative posts removed. It’s easy to love your customers who are happy with their services but it’s very telling how a business responds to someone who isn’t happy with their services. This business made the decision to use Unilocal and Yahoo so customers have the right to write their experiences good and bad and shouldn’t be intimidated to remove them if they have a negative one to post.

I’ve been coming to get my hair cut and colored by Mandi for years and absolutely love her. Not only myself, but my whole family gets there haircut by Mandi and she always does a great job. There’s a lot to be said for communication between client and stylist.

Been to the spa a handful of times and have been satisfied. Paid extra for a level 3 hair stylist. I did not get the cut I asked for, but worst of all … I went to get highlights that I specifically asked not to be too blond. She was supposed to do caramel, but she walked out of the room and just left me. Needless to say, they went too blond. I looked like I had a bad 90’s frost job. The color was dingy and looked like I was covering gray hair. Complained and got back in 2 days later, her solution was to add red! Not a warm brown, red! It was better, but still caused me to go to the drug store and buy so ash blond dye. Looks much better now, but went to a nice salon to make sure I would be happy, proved me wrong!!! This is the only time EVER I had to go back to a salon to have them fix my hair. On top of that I threw away the money because I covered it with a $ 10 dye. Sooo done with that. I so wasn’t going to have them«fix it again» or I’d probably be walking out in tears! I felt compelled to post since they are advertising Unilocal in the salon.(Mandi did my hair)

I don’t normally do this, but I had to write about the hair stylist Hailey that works here. I’m very particular and have been to many different salons/spas, and I’m so happy I finally found Hailey! I’m thrilled with my haircut and color, it’s exactly what I’ve been wanting. She is so sweet, and really listens to what you say you want. I highly recommend J. Nicoles, the staff was friendly and the place was really clean!

Worst overall spa experience I’ve ever had. A girlfriend and I had planned a day of pampering here, and it was a complete disaster: a mediocre-at-best hot stone massage, an unconscionably bad manicure(seriously, it’s hard to believe she’d actually done one before — we had to take the polish off at the end because it looked a lot like it’d been applied by a spastic toddler), and a half-finished blowout by a surly stylist. Terrible.

I was given a gift card 2.5 years ago and lost it. I finally found it and searched all over the card and paperwork that came with it to see if it had an expiration date on it and it didnt. Got my hair cut and tried to use the card and they wouldnt honor it because it was more that 2 years old. Said its policy! I will never go there again. The haircut was 45.00 and wasnt any better than lower priced ones I’ve gotten. I would not think a small business could survive by not honoring a 25.00 gift card. They have had the money for over 2 years now. This was a gift so I never went to the salon to pick it up nor did I go to their website to review their gift card policy. I just went by the card and nowhere was it stated there was a 2 year expiration. Sorry this isnt how to run a sucessful small town business. Thats business 101.

I’ve been to J. Nicole’s a handful of times for a few different services(full body massage, body waxing). The place is very nice, and the front desk staff is generally friendly. Upon arrival, you’ll be asked if you would like water while you wait for your appointment. The first time I received mine in a stemmed wine glass. The next time it was a mini bottle of Ice Mountain or some equivalent. J. Nicole’s offers a variety of services, including facials; body massages, treatments and waxing; and your typical salon offerings(hair, nails, and facial waxing). The hours are very convenient(open until 9 p.m. through the week and open early on Saturday) and I’ve typically been able to get the first appointment time I request. My only complaint is that while I was trying to enjoy a relaxing, full body, deep tissue massage(a birthday gift from my mom), the masseuse kept trying to have a conversation with me. It wasn’t exactly the relaxing experience I had hoped for. Also, the rooms can be small and sometimes seem a little claustrophobic.(So I guess I have more than one complaint.)
