Junkdude Music

If you like saxophones, you will LOVE Junkdude. The staff are knowledgeable and will help you out with whatever it be. They carry vintage saxophones, rentals for kids, and a few new ones. Not to mention plenty of reeds and high quality mouthpieces. There isn’t another place like it around. They also do repairs. If you play sax this is the place to be. Stop in sometime or check out there website.

After driving by this place out on Refugee Road a few times, I finally stopped in. I figured that with a tough name like Junkdude Music, the store had to sell something rad — crusty old guitars, homemade amplifiers and the like.
I was disappointed to find that the store actually only sells saxophones and other woodwind instruments. As I understand it, though, the shop deals mostly in vintage saxophones. That makes this place hard to beat if you’re into that sort of thing.
The owner told me that folks like me stop in all of the time — people looking for stringed instruments. So just for us guitar geeks, Junkdude carries a small selection of guitar strings. No guitars, just strings. I felt embarrassed and bought some.
