They offer free meals to local seniors everyday through a government program. My parents go 2 or 3 times a week. They love it. I’ve been with them a few times and the place is quaint and cozy. The food is good but nothing spectacular. It’s a diner so you get what you’d expect. The fish on Fridays is all you can eat and it’s good. I just like it because it has that genuine local diner feel that you just don’t get anywhere.

The food was delicious, the staff very sweet, and the space cozy. If you don’t like being close to people while eating, this isn’t your kind of place. I do think the décor is just a tad shabby but you’re getting that little town diner experience. Cash only so come prepared! The prices are cheap, especially for breakfast.

As the name implies, it’s diner food. It’s a very small, cash only place. Just a handful of very close tables, some counter seating also, and parking is either street or some parking is in the back behind the building. The hillbilly dinner is very good. I have also enjoyed their eggs and toast for breakfast, and the Friday night all you can eat fish is both tasty and a good value. The place is small enough that your waiter is practically only a whisper away, so service is good.

Would love to have had a place we could go locally for breakfast, you know a little diner not a chain… but when your ignored and treated with a bad attitude but the couple other people in there who seem to be regulars are paid attention to, that tends to be a problem for us…

Great food. Hometown diner feel. Little pricey for what it is but the experience and food is great.

Great chocolate chip pancakes, unfortunately I love them so much I’ve never tried anything else on the menu. Make sure to bring cash b/c credit cards are not accepted at this«olde» school, greasy spoon diner.

3÷29÷2012 — After living 10 years in Pickerington, we finally tried this diner the day I left to relocate to San Antonio. It is a small town diner — period. We visited on a school morning. The food was pretty good — great pancakes. The bacon was really thin. We somewhat felt out of place due to regulars that were having very personalized conversations. There was some joking going on that was borderline inappropriate for kids to overhear. I would rate the diner overall a very weak three.

The combination of good food, old-timey atmosphere, and the small-town surroundings make this a must-visit eatery.

I went here since I had a BYGO coupon and although it is locatied on a cute street in old town Pickerington and looks nice from the outside, the inside is in dear need of some upgrading. The owner is very nice and since it was too early for dinner I just wanted something sweet. I love Baklava and it was good, not the freshest but a lot of nuts and little pastry unlike the usual and I enjoyed that. I decided to try the galaktobouriko which had the baklava pastry and a kind of rice pudding on the inside, too mushy for my taste. In all a nice family restaurant but too«olde» for my taste.

This is a charming little no-frills diner formerly known as M’lee’s Diner. Columbus Dispatch columnist Mike Harden wrote a tribute to the place on 7÷20÷01 called ” PICKERINGTONDINERKEEPSTOWNSFOLKFAT, HAPPY, ENTERTAINED”. It’s under different management now, but it’s still much the same as he described it. The place offers a satisfying breakfast menu — eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, etc. — at rock-bottom prices. It’s a tiny place, but always seems to have room for a few more people, so it’s quite cozy and friendly. Everyone is made to feel welcome, whether you’re a regular or a newcomer. The diner is in the heart of the quiet old village center of Pickerington, far from the overdevelopment along Rt. 256. This out-of-the-wayness adds to its charm. Have only gone there for breakfast, so can’t offer an opinion about their lunch or dinner fare. As someone else noted, they only take cash. Fortunately, you won’t need much.

I have only been for breakfast and everything was good. Usually a big crowd on Sunday morning. They say the pancakes are best in Ohio and I would have to agree. The service can be a little spotty but all and all it is well worth the time and money.

Out on the edge of the Columbus sprawl, Pickerington’s Olde Village Diner is one of a disappearing breed. It’s a greasy spoon with primarily elderly patrons who sit around and gab. What separates this place from the rest of the pack is that it’s got pretty good food. They’ve got a reasonably sized menu with lots of home-cooked goodies. Their specialty seems to be breakfast, however. The blueberry pancakes(usually on special) are to die for. Lots of fresh-tasting blueberries and an awesome griddle flavor. I hear the chocolate chip ‘cakes aren’t bad either. The real downside is that the Diner only accepts cash. It can be a bit of a bummer when you see the«Blueberry Pancakes — Special» sign on the street and get to the door and see in big, handwritten letters«No Credit Cards Accepted.» A bummer indeed.
