More than 40,000 people attend this four-​day festival held in honor of the dainty little flower. Not bad for being around for only 11 years. (The festival, not the flowers.)
What is the Pickerington connection to violets? Uhh– I’m still not sure, aside from the fact the festival also celebrates the history of Pickerington. Every day brings live music, arts and crafts and general family fun. They have even added a car and bike show.
It’s a cute little festival. Will I go every year? Probably not. But I DO like violets and have no problem with Pickerington. I would definitely make it a point to attend if I had intentions of buying flowers or just lived in the neighborhood.
