Their sweets are amazing! We had them make our small wedding cake. The female staff member that helped us was more than patient and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. The end result when we picked it up was amazing! My only suggestion to the owners: If a customer is spending $$$ on a wedding cake, there should be some type of sample given to try without having to purchase a cupcake. We purchased a cupcake with no discount that had very close to what we ordered.

My mom got a cake from here for my bridal shower and it was adorable. It was a tea themed shower and the cake had fondant tea bags and a fondant teapot, which were also delicious. The cake was moist and had a delicious but subtle almond flavor. The frosting was creamy and tasty. By the end of the shower, the cake was pretty much obliterated and my friends and I stood around it taking bites of the fondant. So good! In terms of service and price, I can’t really comment but my mom did say the employee was very kind and worked with her to create the perfect cake. Definitely recommend!

A coworker picked up a dozen cupcakes so I can’t say much about the location or service but man they were so good I almost ate the wrapper! Usually a dozen donuts or cookies or whatever survives for a bit but this was gone in no time! They were not overly sweet and I thought the cake was just perfect, not dry at all. In fact I think if it were any more moist the whole thing would have fallen in on itself. I do wish I knew which were what but my favorite was chocolate on chocolate with cherry on top. I did try one that I didn’t care for with bacon on it. I just really don’t think bacon goes on a cupcake but my coworker insisted I try because she feels that bacon is a perfect food that goes in or with any food. I remain unconvinced. A client’s little boy was getting anxious watching us all go for these cupcakes so he asks for one, mom asks is it kosher… poor thing, I think not. I will have to go and find more of these awesome chocolate cupcakes, hopefully it is a regular thing on their menu.

My husband had surprised me with 6 different cupcakes for my birthday from here. I asked., how do you know their good? He said if they taste half as good as they look theyll be awesome… it would be great if they tasted good at all. Tried a bite from 3 different ones. Icing was ok, cake itself on each one was dry. Spoke with the owner who seemed almost offended and said that they have never received a complaint on their products. Needless to say all six went back. The better part was they gave us the refund by check so we had to take that to the bank.

Well, I have now tried BOTH cupcake places in Pictown. Which amusingly are in close proximately to each other. I far prefer Red Velvet. The pros: Cupcake. The actual cake is very good and moist. I actually prefer this cake to Red Velvets. The Cons: Shop staff. Very boring. Not overly friendly. The shops colors are ridiculously pink. And I LOOOOOOVE pink, I cant imagine any man spending much time in here. It looks like a 5 year old threw up. It just looks, well, juvenile. And the icing. OHEMGEE. Don’t get me wrong. It was a VERY tasty cup cake. But the ration of icing to cake was ridiculous. I could feel the diabetes coming on as I ate it. I scrapped off half my icing. Overall, the cake and the icing were actually good. But the icing was so abundant and sweet it made my belly hurt. I much prefer the the cakes, atmosphere and excellent customer service at Red Velvet.

I was impressed with the visual of the store. It was pretty inside however I was disappointed with the cupcakes. I purchased three different cupcakes. A breast cancer cupcake that was also very pretty. It tasted good but was dry. The cookie dough and a Funfetti cupcake which were dry as well. The customer service was so so the lady was not very informative she kind of just stood there. The cupcakes seemed like they were a few days old. This place has potential as I am all for small business but my vote would be to figure out how to moisten the cucakes and perk up the warmth with the customer service because there is another cupcake place over in the next lot(Red Velvet) that has lots of warmth and moist delicious cupcakes. This place was an okay experience. I will give this place one more try.

The cupcakes are small for the $ 4.50 price. I was not impressed my the product either. The cake part was the same home-kitchen size — way too small for the giant mound of icing on top. I tries their chocolate peanut butter cupcake. It was rather dry, and I had to take off half the icing just so I could taste a bit of the cake. Oh, and the interior of the shop? PINK! Pink walls. Pink counter. Pink containers. Pink, pink, pink. I suppose it’s a splendid sight for young girls still caught in the Princess stage, but a bit much for me personally.

A good friend of mine suggested that I go see Melissa at the cupcake shop. I was in town for business and thought I would pick up a few cupcakes for my client in town. This shop was a terrific splash of color in an otherwise normal strip mall. They were very friendly and helpful. I was really surprised by the detail of each cupcake, and the list of ingredients on each card. I’m not sure I can swing another visit by before my flight out, but my sugar craving may make that a reality. The cupcakes are amazing.
