Classic Chicano style and not many left to enjoy out there Wish they’d make a French Fry Burrito But for the most part just as good as Lupe’s in ELA and Al and Bea’s in ELA Bean and Cheese needs to be more consistent with flavor The fries are awesome

Extremely poor quality!!! Do not waste your time I ordered a meat burrito and a hard taco. Burrito was oily meat has no flavor thick piece of tomato very bland. Hard taco had rice in it as a filler no Bueno!!! Don’t go! Go too the Lupes in East LA on 3rd st next to king taco best place ever!!! Lupes on 3rd5 stars

Very clean place. The food is average. My girlfriend liked the food better then I did. We were passing by and decided to try this place out.

John making it right by making something special for me, the grilled cheese burger! I was craving one. Only place i go too is called Apolos in Victorville. But it’s Raining, cold and I had to have me a cheese and beans burritos. I told I was still Hungry but craving a burger. He asked the staff to. Hook me up. Shit hit the spot! John tells me if its not in the menu he’ll make it! Love that attitude!

I really want to give a good review of Lupes but most of their food is pretty average… I do like the bean and cheese and the taquitos are okay… but most of the stuff is just whatever. Had a steak sandwich from them the other day… wasn’t steak it was more like the below average meat they put in their burritos… chopped up meat. Hamburgers are decent… fries are soggy… they have a decent breakfast burrito. I live close by to Lupes so i’ll still go here on occasion… but Karina’s across the street next to 711 is much better.

Ordered the carne asada tacos and burrito. The meat tasted like it was cooked in old oil and like the same oil was used to cook everything. Not good quality food.

This place has definitely changed. I used to come here for years with the owner still running it. Someone else is in charge now and the food has gotten poor. The food has gotten a bit skimpy on the portion and a bit oily then I remember. I’m definitely disappointed. My family and I won’t be back.

I’ve been passing by this place for years. I’m a Pico Rivera local, and I’ve avoided businesses in this part of the city because growing up here, it was known to be a bad area. Boy, was I wrong not to come to Lupe’s. The first day I ordered Carne asada tacos, and they were great! Next day, carnitas burrito, just as good. Beans are great, perfect amount of seasoning. Day after that, Chicharrones and beans. Took my son for a Torta and he now is a fan too! We shared chili fries with Carne asada on top and that was a meal in itself(you’ll need to ask for it, it’s not on the menu). They take your order and your food comes out fast and hot. Haven’t been disappointed with anything I’ve tried on the menu.

I come here for the hard shell tacos, they are worth the drive(a lil over 30 mins) and soooooo delicious.

This was our first and last visit. Our order was completely wrong. It’s not rocket science to leave off one ingredient. We asked what came inside the burritos and he apparently didn’t know that either cause they got it wrong. Lunch in the trash.

Been coming here since I was a young lad. This place has never done me wrong. I still stay true by rotating the same few menu items since back in the day. I’ve pretty much tried everything Tacos, Burritos… Etc. So when ever I get the craving for some Lupe’s I’m getting either the Soft Tostada, just like it sounds, all the goodies in a tostada, just wrapped in a soft flower tortilla. Or just a good olé classic Cheeseburger. And last but not least their Avocado Fries. Oh and did I mention, they have hella good prices ;)

Lupe’s offers great«authentic» Mexican food, and their bean and cheese burrito’s are great. Gooey and messy as they should be. Reasonably priced and worth the quick pull-over to satisfy your craving.

Been coming here since I was a baby! Love this place. My favorite is beef and beans and cheese with green chili. My family calls them«Blow outs» because they are so stuffed with deliciousness they tend to fall apart! Parking is on the corner of Beverly and Paramount and is hard to get to and is cramped. The inside only seats about 20 people and they are a cash only store. If you can deal with all that you are in for one of the best burritos of your life! Again, CASHONLY!!!

So I’ve driven by this place a few times, and decided to stop by today. The first thing I would like to mention is that this place is not a true Mexican spot and is more like Tito’s tacos(which is better than this place). I ordered a hard shell taco and a #17(Beef, beans, cheese, and red chili burrito) and a small drink. All for about 8 bucks. The hard shell taco was pretty good, but too salty for my liking. The burrito was pretty big and came with a lot of meat! BUT it was also salty! And not spicy. Their hot sauce is pretty bland and not spicy either. What I did like was that this place had parking and a small dining area with a fireplace. The service was great and speedy! Would I come back? Maybe, if I’m craving super salty food.

This place is sooooooo good! Service was quick and the food was great. The red sauce they use for their chicharron burrito was rather spicy but outside of that, this place has never disappointed. Wish they were open on Sundays.

I refuse to try anything else on the menu besides the #17 bean, cheese and red beef burrito. So big and tasty that it requires both hands. It’s either shredded beef or barbacoa I’m not exactly sure but I’m absolutely in love with it. Plus the consistency of the flavor has not let me down once. If you love spicy ask for the red sauce inside the burrito or on the side. It’s not thick at all and looks harmless but it’s not and after a few minutes will make you sweat like your in the gym. ITISCLOSEDONSUNDAYS so keep that in mind. Hope you have a chance to try it.

Will never go back in the evening. Been coming here for about 25 years. About a year ago or so they changed the evening people including the cooks. Every time I go in the evening my food is Always way sub-par. This last time I went in I ordered a Red Chile Burrito double wrapped, extra beans, cheese, red chili and requested the burrito a bit crunchy. By the time I walked back to my car the person who took my order calls me that my burrito is ready(less than 1 min). Well, first bite on the way home the burrito just explodes from the side. Come to find out the burrito was not wrapped like a burrito, the tortillas were raw and there was no cheese, or red chili. Would I go back? — sure, but in the morning or afternoon. Ps. For great bean and cheese I recommend Santi’s in Whittier.
