The best Peruvian food in Los Angeles! I always order the green spaghetti with pollo a la plancha. Also the passion fruit drink is delicious.

I always order an entire pollo a la brasa to-go. The chicken is always moist and well seasoned. You can add on sides like fries, white rice and salad. Great value with enough food for 4 hungry adults.

Came here once with my boyfriend. We were craving Peruvian food. I ordered the Pollo a lo Pobre which was grilled chicken, platanos, rice, eggs, and fries. It was about $ 15 kind of pricey for my taste. Also the chicken was a bit too salty for my test. Otherwise I would have given this place 5 stars. My boyfriend ordered the Lambido a lo Macho hehehe It was fish, squid, and shrimp and it came with rice. His plate had a hint of spicy to it and it was delicious. Their Maracuya and Chicha Morada was delicious! Not every place has Maracuya so that was a plus. Again, we thought the prices were pretty high and my chicken was just too salty. But we might be back soon :)

Terrible place, terrible service and awful food. Chairs are so uncomfortable and ac is not on, despite the fact that it is over 80°. I had to wait for my Lomo Salteado more than 40 minutes, and for what? Just to get a plate with French Fries, a side of steam rice and some 13 pieces of beef all dried, plain and chewy, this was not lomo at all. I had to get up to get a bottle of ajin sauce, no body offer to help or ask how everything was, until of course I was almost finished eating. Ajin sauce saved this meal, hence the only star I gave. Overall, it was an awful experience. Not worth at all the $ 15 +I paid for the 13 chunks of dried, hard and flavor less beef they called«lomo».

Well, what do you know. I’m the duchess of this place. Either nobody cares to check in here or I’m a real fatty. I never would’ve entered this place if not for my co-workers. Or ex co-workers. Never even tried Peruvian food prior to this. They said the chicken is so good and the chaufa? To die for especially with the green sauce. So off I went. And I’ve been going for over 2 years now. The chaufa is like Chinese fried rice. You can choose beef or chicken or shrimp. But its the green sauce that puts a special kick to it. The chicken is pretty good, too. El Pollo Loco quality but I come here because of the chaufa. Yum yum yum.

So food is great service is great, ceviche and pollo is delicious. I can’t get enough of it and together with a maracuya juice. :-9 just to say my Mexican fiancée said and agrees that it’s the best chicken and one of the best ceviches she’s tried. Really nice service, but they could do the place nicer and cozier. Other that, if you are a food lover you’ll love this place!!!

Terrible restaurant. It took 45 min from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. There was only a few customers inside. Food is expensive, didnt want to accept the coupon from the entertainment book in the first place. Took very long to cook my food. One of the items on the menu is Arroz Con Mariscos or Shrimp. It costs $ 14 to $ 15 per dish. When I got my food, it looked like shrimp fried rice. Come on now. I could go to a chinese restaurant and get a bowl of shrimp fried rice for $ 5 to $ 8 and its way better than this restaurant. I used my coupon to get fried shrimp noodle. Total for both dishes including the coupon $ 17. Never ever eat at this restaurant. Beware!!!

I can’t get enough of their pollo a la brasa with their yellow sauce;) It is the best Peruvian style chicken I have ever tried. I’m giving them four stars because you cannot beat the flavor, but the service can be better.

The food it’s bad. My wife and I went last week for lunch, she ask for arroz con mariscos and I decided to try the buffet(really bad idea) her arroz was oily and it was like they add too many condiments, the buffet has no variety at all, it just some half burn pollo frito, some nuggets that taste like those frozen that you can buy in the market, escabeche that has more onions than chicken and even the aji verde was bad. Honestly that buffet needs to improve at all, in presentation and the way the dishes are in the buffet, they don’t even have name tags for those dishes in the buffet, sorry but I will never go back.

My favorite Peruvian place in the LA area! I’m Peruvian(from Peru, NOT the States) and have spent years trying to find a place that gets closest to the flavor back home. Mi Patria is the best so far! I drive 30 minutes to this place to get my fix: D Food: almost always awesome! The lomo saltado, ceviche, seco de res, estofado de pollo, pollo a la brasa… EXCELLENT. Bisteck a lo pobre — hit or miss usually. Arroz chaufa — not recommended, unfortunately. I haven’t tried much else, but usually in the States these dishes are the ones that come out best with American ingredients. They have buffet Saturdays and Sundays for lunch. Buffet is average size, a bit on the small size, but fairly good. There is live music on both nights, starting around mid-afternoon. It’s fun, but kinda loud… :) You can get up and dance if you like. No dance floor, but that’s kinda the Peruvian hole-in-the-wall way anyway(parrillada style. jaja). :) They even have Peruvian icecream! :) Service is pretty good: the owner and his family are friendly. Not the best restaurant service –a bit slow sometimes– but good nonetheless. I highly recommend it! It’s hard to find good Peruvian restaurants in the area — so glad to have this small jewel around here.

The food is really good, the service not so good. They take forever to take your order and to get your food, but when you get it, it’s worth it. I’ve had the Jalea, lomo saltado, tallarines verdes, and alfajores… They were all GOOD! I will definitely go back!

Decent tasting food. —I am even tempted to give them my Peruvian seal of approval(see my lists) but I won’t. Terrible atmosphere. I went on a sunday night and it was empty, but seriously has that market plaza hole in the wall, run-down feeling. The service was good at first– very friendly server. But then they forgot about us for about 30 minutes and we actually had to send someone from our party to go call them in order to get our check. I used a coupon and they tried not to honor it. Owner was very difficult. Using different excuses not to honor it. But I said the magic word(starts with Y and rhymes with help!) and he switched his tune. I left very dissatisfied. Most importantly, disappointed to have taken my friends here and given them a poor example of what Peruvian cuisine is all about. Will not be returning.

I’ve had way better Peruvian food in my short lifetime thus far. Their green aji sauce was watery, mediocre bread rolls, tasteless huancaina sauce, tallarin verde pasty and meh. They need a recipe revamp. The whole look and feel of the place also needs a revamp. There’s no real homey feel to it like I’ve experienced with some great Peruvian restaurants. There’s practically no décor.

The Lomo Saltado dish is one of the greatest things I have ever tasted in my life!!! It’s a little pricy(about $ 11), but worth every cent! Their whole/half chicken is delicious and extremely flavorful. I love this place! Going tomorrow: P

They had a sign that said hamburger specials outside the window, and the place looked like a take out joint, but inside, it was like this spacious restaurant space. No frills/fancy-smancy decorations. just the tables/chairs, arranged few as a long family/community tables, and few here and there. THe restaurant for the first eyes may look very random and odd. it kind of is too. They had this DJ stage on one side. a really weird computer system that does their music and billing system. you could see the cable hanging around there. and they literally had the dish cart(where they keep the dishes before they go wash), outside by one of the tables, and a little trash bin. also on the corner they had this buffet tables. I couldnt guess if it was a dance place or a buffet lunch place or a sit down restaurant or a takeout joint. None of this overwhelmed me including this two little peruvian kids in their swim wear posing.(come on you are 2, sit and eat your bread!) — mostly coz the peruvian family my friend lives with likes this place and swears by it! so something got to be right here. We ordered the rotissarie chicken, and this purple looking corn juice(if you spell the peruvian name it kind of sounded exotic, but its been a while since i went and i forgot that name!). the rotisserie chicken for 8+$ was very generous came with steak fries, which i totally loved. and I loved loved loved their green sauce. I know my other fav place renzo, does everything right for peruvian food, but i do not like theire green sauce… too sweet vinegary. but this one was just the way i like it, had a good kick to it. not sweet at all, and no acid i could taste! I ate like a half a bottle in their dinner rolls, which they kept bringing as we asked more. We also ordered this potato dish that looked like mashed potato, but had this really weird funky acidity to it and i did not dig it. it was weird tasting. not a bad tasting food, just something i wont order on my own, ‘coz i dont like that taste. I want to go back and try their other peruvian dishes next time, like the saltados and other items. Even though I described the place as horrendous looking place, it really doesnt feel that way if you are there. people are very cordial, and the service is prompt. There was this one girl who was waiting the whole floor, with the cutest smile. I can totally give 5 star for service!!! also everyone seem to order this big giant bottle of inca cola. i like inca cola, but the diet kind. I wasnt crazy love with this place, but it was pretty chill low key spot for some delicious peruvian food when i am in the mood for some! Im comin back for sure.

Simply delish. I unfortunately made the mistake of forgetting the name of this place and went to Ceviche del Rey in Downey for my Peruvian fix. BIG mistake. Now that I’ve reviewed and saved you… yea!!! *jazz hands* There’s a weekend buffet, spacious seating and great green sauce. Lunch specials are great but be sure to bring cash to speed the process if you go during your work break.
