Corner is an awesome shop if you are buillding decks and need singles. This man has an ungodly amount of cards for a shop and will even pull them for you himself. But this is only because he has them all boxed away and you can’t look at them to see if there are any others you might grab while youre there. He has tons of older box sets, which he sells for over double the going price that online MTG card stores sell them for. And his single cards are extremly over priced. Which just continues to highlight his hoarding personality. He has tons of everything that a magic player could want, but its not priced to move. On top of that, as far as I’ve ever seen, and since it is his shop– he’s the only person that can ring you up, pull cards, or help with anything behind the glass or on the walls. Yet he will sit and ignore customers who walk in, to continue playing a round of magic, when its not even a tournament night. It’s poor customer service. Also, if you want to leave the store at 10pm go ahead and get up at 830 to start heading out the door. The owner is very self indulging and won’t give you a simple, thank you so much for coming in! I really appreciate it! Which I think should be done no matter what store you own. Especially with the cash people drop on drafts, FNM, and cards that can get outrageously expensive. Rather, he makes you sit and listen to outlandish stories and talks about himself for hours while you are trying to leave or play. So enjoy your game, because he will coke bother you. Even a stern, I have to go now doesn’t shut him up. You literally have to walk out of the facility mid conversation to not be held hostage forever. It’s stores like this that push magic players to buy online and not help stores locally. And I’m not the only one who shares these opinions, I have heard the same complaints from tons of others while at another local store and its what pushed me to write this. He needs to learn how to run a business.
