Piermont Fine Wines

This is my favorite wine shop, ever. Although I live in Brooklyn, where there is an abundance of amazing wine shops, I still look forward to visiting my parents so I can stop by this one. The collection is extremely curated and Jung, the proprietor, has great recommendations. Though I don’t stop by regularly, whenever I do come, he remembers what types of wines I like (and perhaps more importantly, my price range). I’ve had incredible wines from this shop that barely topped $ 20 and I’ve never had anything I disliked. Whenever I go, it feels like home, there’s jazz or classical music playing, my boyfriend loves to watch soccer on the (unobtrusive) TV in the shop. He’s also got an interesting selection of spirits – no Old Overholt here but you can get a very unique cherry brandy liqueur and local whiskeys.

If you need shelter from the heat, humidity or a thunderstorm, Jung will welcome you into his shop.
Go in and browse, watch some international soccer games on the HDTV and make sure you leave with something to add a bit of flare to your next summer party or family dinner.
