Green Valley Motel

Was very pleased with our trip. The room was clean and well priced and close to Dixie stampede and a couple restaurants which was all we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

for a last minute trip this was available and affordable. booked through Expedia and check in was easy and friendly.
manager appears to live on site in room 200. which is nice to know in case of emergency.
our room (203) was large and could easily accommodate someone in a wheelchair or a tall person. the sink was high off the floor with open underneath for a wheelchair and the counter with the microwave was also about mid waist height. the only thing not handicap about the room ws no rails in the bathroom or shower. but certainly big enough for a wheelchair person.
very clean. has old key entry.
now for the negatives:
Only supply bars of soap
no wifi
no premium channels at all– basic cable
lights need time to warm up to full brightness
tv takes a minute to warm up
all rooms appear to be non-​smoking so there are plenty of smokers standing outside their rooms
guessing there are people living here since we saw several people leaving rooms and headed to work in uniforms.

the child friendly amusement park outside our door that ran go carts until midnight
the «raining» of water inside the shower from the metal trap door in the ceiling when someone up stairs took a shower.
issue with toilet had to flush it 6 times in order to clear it– guy came to fix it after the 4^th flush and after 2 flushes for him it finally went all the way down and didn’t seem like it would overflow!

the air conditioner kept the room cool no matter what temperature we set it on– i like it cold at night and although it said our room was 68 it was not! the temperature felt the same the whole time.

My wife booked this for us online, so it was like a blind date. we were pleasantly surprised to find a hidden gem of a motel in the smokies. its not exactly a 5 star resort, but as we were only staying 2 days, we didn’t need or want anything like that. its reasonably priced and clean. more for shopping!
