Love their Sunday buffet. This is Sherri bring my friends when they visit. Since it’s brunch, I get whatever I want on my omelette, and the popovers and soup is amazing! Unlimited mimosa too! Then there’s the dessert table. Tres leche and rice pudding! Yummy! Need to go back soon.

Came here last night with a party of 6 around 8pm after Star Wars =) We were starving and it did not disappoint. LOVED the popovers! Those are completely amazing and I haven’t ever had anything like it. Almost reminded me of a giant French gougeres, which is ideal. Flaky on the outside, eggy in the center; such a great combination. And they are the size of your head. I had the Grouper with plaintains and black beans; everything was great. Loved their hot sauce, too, which was actually hot and had great flavor. Pricing was reasonable and they had some off-street parking in the back, which was great. Will be back!

I love Mari Luna. Been going here for years now, food is always consistent and well prepared. I am a big fan of the Peruvian Chicken meal. Where else can you get a hold half of chicken meal for $ 16? The paella is good, could be slightly more seasoned. The place is a cozy setting. The popovers that come out first and always hot, soft/moist, and delicious. Drinks are Ok but they offer good happy hour specials from 3p-7p. Very nice staff. Parking available on street and in the rear.

The folks at Mari Luna Dion especially were so nice and accomadating our office staff for Retirement Party. Everyone raved about their entrées. Tilipia Perviuan Chicken California Club wraps and much more! I would definitely recommend this spot for lunch or dinner and if having a party nice accommodations. Try this place you won’t be disappointed. Perviuan nice and juicy and chicken crust nicely brown crunchy.

Cute, date night spot. Nice atmosphere and our server was very friendly. I thought my margarita was a little too sweet. As for the food, I ordered the paella with lobster tail and it was pretty good but nothing amazing. I feel like the entire meal wasn’t seasoned enough. The lobster tail was also very small. Overall, I wasn’t really impressed but if I was in the area again I would try another menu item and see if that is better.

Champagne brunch does not include the champagne without the orange juice. $ 6.00/per glass of champagne. Inquired with the manager if it was worth the poor review not to give me the glass without orange juice. She just looked at me. Later came back and inquired how old my 11 and 12 yr old girls were to determine if she was going to charge them as adults or children. Just poor customer service. Over heard the bartender heckling another customer that she could not leave a carafe of mimosa’s at the table for their large group of 12 women. I realize I’m not at a 5* but do expect for the money spent, we would be treated kind with the appearance of going the extra mile even if they didn’t. 10 thumbs down.

My wife, two adult kids, one kid’s boyfriend, and I ate at Mari Luna last evening. As always the food and the service were excellent. Our family has eaten at one or the other of Chef Luna’s restaurants at least one hundred times — not a typo — figure two times a month times 5 to ten years. The food is reasonably priced, heavily portioned, and always tasty. As for tonight — My skirt steak was medium rare and marinated and seasoned perfectly. The mixto ceviche was very good but I always like the same dish at their other restaurant a bit more — not sure why. I will say it compares well with ceviche I’ve had in various Latin restaurants in Miami. Several folks had various versions of Paella and all were pleased. The popovers were delicious. My daughter, a vegetarian, loved the black bean soup. The service was competent and pleasant. The chef often says hello but I didn’t see him. No dessert was eaten. All in all — this a very nice community restaurant that should get more attention from the foodies. They do a nice job with latin dishes and that is hard to find in Baltimore. This isn’t a taco — tex/mex place and one shouldn’t look for that here. The prices are very low — the five of us ate for about $ 105. I would not have blinked if the bill was twice that for the level of food. Plus we had two large containers of Paella to take home. One small suggestion — I’d love this restaurant to serve to wonderful tortilla soup that they serve at their Mexican restaurant nearby. Scott Rifkin

I came here with a small group for their Sunday brunch. This is by far the best brunch I’ve ever had. The food was wonderful, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. I will be coming back again very soon!!!

One of the best Mexican places to eat! The food is very flavorful and fresh. I also enjoy the authentic Mexican products. I have eaten the nachos which are excellent and huge! I have also had the burritos and chimichangas! They are absolutely amazing! If your looking for good Mexican food, visit this place ASSP!

Do not Go!!! AWFULSERVICENOWANDQUALITYDIMINISHED from years back. SALVADOREANDCAESARAREGONEANDTOOKTHEEXCELENCEWITHTHEM. Was once my favorite restaurant along with their smaller location in lower pikesville called the Mexican Grill. Even had my my Mothers 60th birthday there few years back. Will never step foot in their restaurants again. Served us watered down salsa with water sitting on the top. Served us fermented sangria teas. The servers were rude and cut their eyes at us or were just not attentive, took forever to return to the table. Salvador where are you now. Your management style was impeccable and we miss you. We will follow you anywhere.

Came here with a large group for lunch and it was excellent. The servers were attentive and gave us great service. The meal started with a pop over and I have had never had this, it’s huge! I liked the pop over and didn’t feel to stuffed from it. From there I ordered the enchiladas from the lunch menu. They were fantastic, very flavorful. Loved this place for lunch the dinner menu looks pretty pricey but I’m sure it delicious. Also wouldn’t mind trying brunch here.

I cant wait to go back to BMore just to go to this spot again… I went for a bday brunch last weekend, and it was amazing. Jefferson, was our server, and when I tell you, he’s the best of the best, I mean that. OMG, super friendly and very polite. Even when it comes to a table of 20. Always on point. It was a buffet style atmosphere, and all the foods were amazing.(Yes, I made an attempt to try everything.)

Good food, great service, lacks ambiance. Something about the way the room is laid out and the number of large parties on the night we went made the place feel like a cafeteria. Sat at the bar to wait for a table. Bartender was great. Mojitos were super. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. We took advantage of the restaurant week menu. Food was tasty. Portions were substantial. Drinks were good but the sangria was not up to par. Tiny bits of fruit rather than larger chunks. Worth going for Latin food but I’m not sure I’d go back again.

We went here twice, once I had the skirt steak which was recommended by the waiter. It was a good size and had pretty good flavor. The second time we had the buffet brunch which had quite a variety and included unlimited mimosas.

So me and the love come here almost every sunday. Its just nice to get a buzz going and good food before we head to the market and other mundane sunday errands. And he can watch the game. Lately because of a top 10 review on a newspaper our once low key spot has become the new hot spot. Its. crowded and the lines for the made to order omlettes and waffles look like 6 flags on Halloween For a second we thought about abscounding to a different location when we couldnt get our fav spots near the front. But we sucked it up and sat at the bar. I got my normal hodge podge of goodness and the boo waited for the lines to subside. While sitting not only was his omlette delivered to him just the way he likes it so was a frsh waffle. The staff had seen us come in took note of the line and sent over his food without him having to get up from his seat. Personalized service like that makes my life its so appreciated and that is why we will never change brunch spots. That along with all the food is amazing and the mimosas fress flowing.

If it wasn’t such a hassle to drive down Park Heights Ave to get here, I’d come often. Went for happy hour(which starts at 3! Score!), with some classmates and was pleasantly surprised. I searched for a spot with great margs and hppnd upon this place. The margs were nice! Strong and cheap. .Just $ 5 during HH(Note: the frozen margs are not incl in HH). To eat, I ordered the calamari and the chicken quesadilla. Yum! The quesadilla came with spinach, which was a nice touch, but I was a little annoyed that you had to add sour cream, guac and salsa on the side… it doesn’t just come with the order. :-\ In any case, I certainly recommend this place for happy hr. Service was great and the atmosphere was nice. I hear great things about the brunch here, so I’ll be back to try that!

Went to Mari Luna yesterday for their brunch/buffet and i thoroughly enjoyed the spread. From over 40 different selections there is enough for everyone to quench your brunch desires. Omelettes, waffles, different cuts of meat, paella etc etc. The only drawback in my opinion was that the mimosas were weak. I guess when it comes to that aspect of botomless you are either going to get watered down crap, oj or some liquid orange. Either than that everything was great, will go there again soon.

Sadly not impressed. We came here off Unilocal reviews, looking for some decent Spanish/Latin cuisine. The first impression was not a good one. The minute we stepped in the door no one said hello and we asked for our own menus and water. I would like a Sangria please. thanks for NOT asking. Geez! Finally the waiter came by, and not surprising was not Spanish speaking and knew nothing about the menu. A sad state of affairs folks! We are accustomed to Puerto Rican dishes and frequent Cubanos in Silver Spring. In comparison the paella was bland and overcooked, and the Ropa Vieja was totally sub par. We were completely bummed. Plantains were average. Overall $ 75 for 3 people… not a good meal, not enjoyable.
