I purchased a mans Jaeger Lecultre and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. I would strongly recommend shopping at Radcliffe. I was only going in to look at a different watch and explained to Todd what I was looking for in a time-piece. He led me to the Jaeger Lecultre and he was right, it was exactly what I was looking for but wasn’t aware existed.

My now husband and I picked out my diamond and setting together, after he had proposed with a costume ring. Diamond-buying was an intimidating endeavor for us — we had heard so many horror stories about people being lied to or ripped off or just under-informed. Plus, we didn’t want to end up feeling like buying my ring was like dealing with a high-pressure car salesman! We’d been to both mom-and-pop jewelry stores, mall stores, and to the franchise jewelers, and Radcliffe’s was hands-down the best experience we could have ever hoped for! I was skeptical about dealing with yet another mall jeweler. In the past, we had received lazy service when we said we were browsing, or I’d get pressured to try and leave with something that totally wasn’t what I wanted, or we’d get stuck in an office and had a hard time of getting out because they were double hitting us with a sales associate and a manager(totally like being at a car lot!), and/or we’d get bombarded with follow-up calls and emails where an employee was pushing for a sale. Radcliffe was not like that at ALL! Once we stepped inside the store, it didn’t feel like we were at the mall at all. Employees came by just to say Hi and congratulate us, and everyone was so patient while I asked a million questions and asked to see a million settings to help me narrow down my choice. I had arranged my visit in advance, so our dedicated Radcliffe employees were there with some options already set aside for me to try on right away. We told them the cut we wanted, our priorities among the CCC’s, and the budget we had to work with, and they were able to show us a few samples of the best quality diamonds that we could get with our money, complete with GIA documentation to back it up. I have since gotten my ring cleaned many times, and the jewelers always comment about the quality of my diamond. In addition to that, I had a very particular look in mind that wasn’t mainstream or easy to find. The staff at Radcliff went as far as to pull different pieces from their other stores so that I could see all my option in one place. And when they didn’t have the exact piece that I was looking for, they worked with me and with one of their name brand designers to commission the exact piece that I envisioned in my mind. The above-and-beyond service did not end there. My husband and I had to complete the ordering/design process from California, and the Radcliffe staff all stepped in to make sure that the whole process went smoothly and without a hitch! They worked with us by email, phone, and FedEx to get me samples and finally, show me CAD drawings, and finally, to get me my entire dream wedding set! I have the most beautiful diamond in the most beautiful setting and the wedding band of my dreams to match! There was never any high-pressure selling, no annoying sales calls, no «take advantage of this deal that ends TODAY», and no making me feel guilty or like I was causing an imposition. It was such a comfortable process! I am so grateful for Nola and to Todd Brown for their truly dedicated service. My thanks go out to all the staff there! I truly recommend Radcliffe Jewelers for their exceptional and personal service, whether it be for your engagement ring, watches, or otherwise.

I have been to Radcliffe for many kinds of jewelry repairs: watches, fine jewelry and not-so-fine jewelry, and the repairs have always been done perfectly and timely. Mandie Bender is always friendly and very knowledgeable, and today she sized a watch bracelet, re-attached a missing stone in an earring and fixed a broken catch on a necklace AS I WAITED. Can’t ask for better service than that. I always seek her service when I need a repair.

I bought an engagement ring for my wife here in 2009. Everything went well during the buying process. They found a selection of diamonds for me to look at, took the time to educate me on them, returned calls pretty promptly, and I felt pretty taken care of. I bought a beautiful diamond and platinum band in the high four figures. Almost a year later, we were buying my wife’s wedding band, and decided to go online(Blue Nile) to save some cash. The band came while I was at work, and my wife told me they didn’t match. «You got platinum, and my band is white gold.» Uh, what? No it isn’t. I’m sure of it. I rush home, tear open the filing cabinet, and find the receipt and appraisal that Radcliffe did themselves. Platinum. I look at the ring, with a bunch of pits and imperfections and know it’s white gold. I call them up, explain the situation and basically ask when I can bring it in to get the band exchanged. They tell me they’re going to have to talk about it internally. A few days go by, and I call back to check in. They’re still not sure if they’re going to do it. I tell them it’s on my receipt, it’s on my appraisal, it’s what I was told the ring was — that I wouldn’t have paid what I did if it was just white gold. They tell me they re-ran the numbers and the price I paid was for white gold, even though the receipt says platinum. They say platinum costs $ 3,000 more and they’re not going to do it. Ah, so this is why I got a good deal at a high-end store. Believe me, I did my research and know what the retail of this ring is, and what I could have bought it for on Blue Nile and other retailers. I paid about what it would have cost on BN. It makes sense now. I call back and basically lay it out for them. Fix it or I’m going to make this into a big deal. I mention that I’m not afraid of small claims court, and your«Whoops, your paperwork is wrong, sorry.» isn’t going to cut it. At this point we’re almost a week away from our wedding. This is where they finally relent like they’re doing me a favor. «You know what, okay, bring it in and we’ll do it.» They absolutely made me feel like I was pulling one over on them. But in the end they did it, and it is definitely a beautiful ring. Did they fix their mistake? Yeah. Could they have handled it more professionally? Yeah. I still have a terrible taste in my mouth about the whole thing. At the time it felt like they used the band as a way to close the sale and make the deal look good, when really for white gold, it would have been *way* high. You’d expect this from some low rent store in the mall, not an old school, high end, family jeweler. Honestly? Go here and find what style you like. Then go on Blue Nile and buy it for 30−50% less. Save yourself the drama.

The future mother in law took us here to register. This store is fabulous! On the second floor they have a gorgeous selection of fine and everyday china, flatware, and gifts. It was arranged in such a way that made it easy to browse, but also to see all of your options. I was surprised to find so many things that suited my taste. Amy helped us see all of our options and was very attentive, but was not at all pushy. She has also been very response via email about adding things to the registry. Though we registered here mainly for our Baltimore wedding guests, the store creates an online registry and guests can purchase online. I was surprised to see that many of the things we had registered for were cheaper to buy from Radcliffe’s than from Macys! If you live in Baltimore, definitely register here.
