Good go to store for cheap last minute things. Definitely a tad cluttered, and usually always has somewhat of a crowd, but in a last second pinch, it does the trick. I usually run in for nail polish remover, cotton balls, or things of that nature for my residents.

I visit this store pretty frequently for general browsing and craft supplies for my kids. You never know what you will find(slippers, as seen on tv products, clearance items for as low as a dime). I rarely go with a purpose, rather just as a «lets see what I find» adventure. In this small town the options for shopping are pretty limited, but generally this store fulfills my need to buy junk without leaving town. Good selection if food, household items, and per supplies. The staff is nice, I have never had any problems at all, and they all are genuinely willing to help you out if needed.

Situated adjacent to the crumbling old Acme(which seems to have shrunk since I was a kid), Dollar General is the Acme’s only competition in close proximity. And I love it! I stopped in for a couple items with my mom the other night but could not believe all the name brands they had for so cheap. I was especially excited to find really nice greeting cards for $ 1 that actually say«$ 3.89» on the back of them.(I’m not big on greeting cards. They seem pointless to me – but others love them, so there’s that.) It’s a small store, but they have pretty good hours and a steady clientele. I know I probably sound like that Olive Garden reviewer from last year, but I had honestly never been inside a Dollar General before. I approve!
