Citizens arrest! Andy better call in the state police on this crime. Aunt Bea is rolling in her grave. Gross.

They have a pretty decent breakfast here. Stopped by while traveling on a Sunday morning and food was great.

I’ve enjoyed Aunt Bea’s for many many years!!! The ONLY complaint that I have is that they do not serve their YUMMY country style steak at the Pilot Mountain location! Whether we dine in or use the drive thru we always experience friendly service with ACCURATE orders!!! To me that is very important!!! They have order taking down to fine art!!!

My first time eating here. Went with the family and I must say they have pretty good BBq. It was nice and we’ll seasoned and smoked flavor. The sauce was really good too. The fries were okay, the seasons they use aren’t really anything to be excited over. My wife said the hamburger wasn’t very good though. It looked small and thin the patty was over cooked. The men’s restroom… well the door couldn’t close fully and the stall door had no lock on it and wouldn’t close fully either. I feel as if they need to fix that problem. Other than that, the dinning area was clean and lots of space available. All in all it was a decent visit besides the bathroom issue. So I’m giving this place 3 stars.

If the real Aunt Bea had served Andy barbecue like this, he would have locked her up with Otis, and tossed away the key. The pork was tender, moderately chopped, but with no flavor, and no hint of smokiness. There was little meat on the sandwich I ordered, not much slaw, but there was MUSTARD(check the picture), making the whole mess even worse. The Hot Dog was only marginally better. This is one of 5 of these restaurants, all in this part of the state, or in SW Va. It’s basically a fast food sort of setup, servinf breakfast all day, burgers and sandwiches, and some country cooking items. Some of what they serve may be good, what I tried was not.

Aunt Bea’s, just a short drive from Pilot Mountain, is filled with nostalgia. Decent vinegar style BBQ, good seasoned fries, and a full ice cream offering. Not fancy at all, but you’ll feel like you stepped back in diner history a bit with this one.

Aunt Bea’s is a quick place to grab some grub — sort of a fast food with better seating kind of place. When we visited, there were a lot of locals there — which I always think is a good sign. Looking around most people were ordering the burgers and dogs — not the Bbq.(I did note walking in that I could not smell Bbq cooking, which was a sign to me not to order to Bbq — but then again I am a bit of a Bbq snob.) The crinkle cut fries were good and I used the house Bbq sauce for dipping and it was good — had a nice kick to it. The place reminded me of an Andy’s burger joint — nothing fancy but decent food. The Blue Bell ice cream was great! It was clean and the service was decently quick. If in the area, we would probably try it again!

Simple tasty barbecue, fries, slaw, & hush puppies. Nothing fancy, but definitely not bad at all. Restaurant itself is a time warp, but clean and neat. Decent prices.

As a previous Unilocaler pointed out, the barbecue is not especially good. Hamburger steak is not terrible but not great. I tried the country style steak as well. It was actually pretty tasty but it looked like a pile of crap on a plate. Once I got past the appearance I enjoyed it. The saving grace here is the sweet tea is pretty decent.

We drove a while to get here off the highway thinking this was real BBQ — the is a fast food joint. All fried junk, they do have pork BBQ but it is the slow cooker stuff not real BBQ… SO disappointed!
