While visiting Wallkill/Patterson, this local is very convient and good… French toast, hamburger, chicken tenders and they only make two homemade cheesecakes, which are erupted good. Service was great. The only thing we didn’t like was the coffee, go to Hannafords.

Have been here many time, it was the favorite hangout of my grandmother for quite a few years. The good: This is a classic small town diner, with typical diner food where the staff knows your name and your bound to run into at least one person you know. Their menu is HUGE, almost too big. But it certainly gives any person who walks in the door an option for something to eat. The service is always very quick, and the food will never leave you disappointed. The bad: If you aren’t careful your check will add up quickly! Not enough of a problem to dock a star. Five out of five for the small town America diner vibe and experience!

We were in town for 2 nights and ate here for breakfast and dinner both days. Food was good, staff was friendly and service was fast! We are from California and would recommend this place for out of towners!

This is a very cool little diner. It’s exactly what you would expect from a diner. Kind of retro and good food and a really good price. It seemed very clean and very conveniently located across from our hotel. I had breakfast for dinner and was not disappointed. The eggs were cooked well the bacon was crispy and my moms french fries were really really good. If we are back in the area I will definitely go here for breakfast/dinner.

We dined here for dinner on a weekday. The café was adequately staffed with attentive people. The food was average. My meatball parmesan gyro resembled a subway brand sandwich — the meatballs were dry with not much flavor. The bread didn’t taste fresh and wasn’t soft. My spouse liked the bacon cheeseburger very much though. If we go back I will give the burger a try and update my review.

I stopped here for a quick bite on Saturday morning last week. The food was OK but the woman behind the counter, can’t remember her name, was a sweetheart and provides excellent service.

No, don’t do it, any other option is better(like eating groceries in your car). We have tried and regretted breakfasts, lunches, dinners. Pine Bush could really use a great or even good diner. What a bummer.

We had breakfast one morning and the food was very tasty and came out quick. The waitresses were all friendly and on top of the service. The place was a diner for sure and it had a lot of locals in it. We found out that Pine Bush was the UFO capital of New York and that is why it was called Cup and Saucers… ooooooo…weeeeeee…oooooooooo…aaaaaaa(creepy sound)…lol.

I don’t know what other problems people had with this place, but I was very impressed with the service and the food. Price was right as well. I had the Reuben with corned beef and it was great. Others in my group also were very satisfied. I plan to come again during my stay in Pine Bush.

Friendly service. I give this place 3 stars because the food wasn’t great, but the staff was nice.

When lunch runs you $ 20pp at a diner, you’d expect better. The food was standard, and the service was fine, but I didn’t leave feeling impressed by anything but the weight of the check. I had a sliced steak sandwich w/fries and it was a little light on the meat. The wife’s salad was good, but left her feeling ripped off on the size/price ratio. All in all, just mediocre diner food.

Place is not all that clean, service was good though. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries. I got a cheeseburger with potato salad. Not sure if they were out or if they just thought that was fries. The potato salad tasted old and spoiled. As I was eating at the counter they were placing desserts in front of me and adding whip topping which was a little rude to me. Especially when it sprays all over. The best part of my meal was my coffee. I do not recommend this place if your looking for a good meal.

We stopped here after a tour of the Watchtower Farm and it was great! It’s a typical dinner that has pretty much anything you can think of on the menu. I had the Beef and Reef(steak and shrimp) and it was pretty good. The strawberry daq was great! The service was quick and friendly too! Definitely a place I’d eat at regularly if I lived in the area!

This has a cute diner feel and decent diner food. I wouldn’t order anything that doesn’t sound like diner staples. But if you stick to the basics it’s a solid choice.

Typical diner food. The food was a little greasier than I prefer, but it was hot and came out quickly. Good prices and friendly service.

I went to the Cup tonight never ever thinking I would say this: I should’ve checked Unilocal first! Then again, even with some of these not-so-great reviews accumulating, I would never have believed it anyway and would have had to find out myself. So I guess tonight’s dinner was inevitable. The most regrettable part is that I never write bad reviews, not that this one is totally bad. I never write unless it’s 4 or above to me. But for some reason I felt compelled to say something. Apparently my message was given to the management by my server but no one even took it up. I have not been here in better than a year. Maybe two or more. But I know tonight I was starving and was craving a barbecue burger and sweet potato fries. I remembered how plump and tasty, bright orange their SP fries were last time I was here, and the burger fresh, huge and made to medium rare perfection — but not tonight. Aside from the prices being a little high for a diner, I have come to expect and be okay with that as I once found this place worth it. Last time I was there, I brought friends who had never tried it and they loved it as well — we all had amazing meals. Tonight, when my side salad came, skimpy and a bit lifeless, I looked past it knowing something special was coming. Upon arrival however, the burger was much thinner than I remember it being last time, and the SP fries… well what can I say about those fries. Skimpy, shriveled and a dollar extra. And apparently medium well is the new medium rare as my burger had not one shred of pink to be found. I did mention this to the waitress, something I seldom do. I am not a complainer or one of these scathing reviewers who live on Unilocal — you know the ones. There is at least one on every restaurant’s page — ones who have trouble with restaurants(and I’m sure other things) follow them everywhere. I always keep it positive and when I have to complain, I make it a suggestion and express that I wish it would be held to higher standard. Well, Cup and Saucers, you have dropped to well below your own standards. According to my server, you(manager/owner) have been informed. All I got was her apology — and it wasn’t even her place to apologize. She seemed to be the only one embarrassed about it at all. No visit from you at my table, no apology, and not even a «how was your meal?» at the register. The only explanation I was given was by my server who, when I expressed my disappointment, told me things had definitely changed and that they had a problem with changeover of cooks or something. Wow. My list of my top 3 Diners in Orange County had already dwindled to 2 with the fall of G’s in Warwick to new management. Now I am down to one with Main Line Diner in Maybrook. Drove out of my way to get to you guys tonight and I am afraid I won’t be returning soon. I may give it one last shot to see if there was improvement but I have my doubts. I should also mention that I have a thing about restaurants clamping down in a down economy by not raising their prices(which I would be perfectly fine with) but charging the same and making portions smaller. I don’t know where this idea came from but it wasn’t the customer. Sorry, Cup and Saucer, you get 3 on this trip and I think you are lucky to get it in that my wife’s Asian Chicken over salad seemed pretty decent and our waitress was friendly and attentive — and was the only one who was sorry about my experience. Who know’s? Maybe you’ll get lucky and see me again too, but then again…

I was impressed with this upstate diner. The menu was not ridiculously huge and they had specials that all sounded good. The prices were very reasonable too. I had soup and an entrée. The portions were HUGE. I definitely took half of my meal home. The food was all surprisingly tasty and well seasoned. Not typical bland diner food with cheap ingredients. I would love to come back here and try the breakfast food. Highly recommended if you find yourself near Pine Bush.
