I ate at this place about 2 years ago. I had passed it for 3 years everyday twice a day going to and from work & I never stopped before but that time I did. I specifically remember ordering the Mexican combination plate, a corona and a small cup of soup. The total bill for one person was $ 22. Ridiculous. The food was probably about two and a half stars. Today I went back and ordered the supreme nachos. Huge disappointment and once again well overpriced. Essentially what they did was open one of those 2go Styrofoam plates, filled it with tortilla chips, covered it with cheese wiz and threw a few dollops of guac and about ¼ cup of plain chicken breast and wrapped it up at $ 11.25. Ninety percent of the chips were not not even touched by any of the other ingredients. Unfortunately I had gotten it to go and did not find this out till I had gotten home which is well over 20 miles away or also would have returned them. I don’t know what their American fare is like so I have nothing to say about that but my two experiences in going there have not been good. But I will say this even though the place has never had a customer in there when I’ve been there and I never see cars parked outside that doesn’t mean a whole lot it… seems as if they have a huge clientele of take out customers. And the help that is there is very nice. But you won’t see me back anytime soon.

We are frequent visitors to the Harvest Restaurant in Pine Island. Unlike most restaurants these days, all the food here is made from scratch including the absolute best salsa on the planet. The recipes are authentic Mexican cuisine — not the«Americanized» version of recipes. The next time you are in the mood for an amazing Mexican meal — try them out!

Wow… just… wow… and not in a good way. They claim to serve Mexican, Italian, and American food here. I have to tell you, I’ve given this place three chances, sampling each category, and it falls down flat on all of them. Honestly, I’ve have better Hungry Man microwave meals. I used to live literally a mile away from this place and I have gone out of my way to other restaurants because this one failed to meet expectations on every level. the only saving grace is that the wait staff was very friendly and courteous. Too bad they can’t make up for the awful food.

Stopped here on our way to the Warwick Valley Winery one Sunday morning. The name itself, not to mention the cornucopia logo on their sign, brings Thanksgiving to mind immediately, for me at least. So, I expected a nice warm and inviting ambiance inside and geared myself for a filling breakfast. Once we sat down we realized that this little roadside eatery doubles as a Mexican restaurant. It’s almost as if there were two restaurants at one point side by side and one day decided to merge into one. If that was the case, they sadly failed to merge their identities. I’m not saying this is a negative, just a bit odd and confusing. I loved the food. My breakfast was an amazing home cooked-styled plate of eggs, sausage, French toast, and bacon and I washed it down with a cold glass of orange juice and a coffee(not interchangeably of course). However, it’s peculiar sitting on one side of the restaurant that is 100% classic diner all the way and then looking to the other side over the counter and seeing some light Mexican décor. Our menus had a section just for Mexican food, including breakfast burritos and the like. We weren’t really in the mood for Mexican food at the time, but the next time I’m in Pine Island, NY around lunch time I’ll consider learning what Harvest Luncheonette’s other half has to offer.
