This place is a gem. We had breakfast, an omelette and The Vermonter sandwich. The food is delicious, the people are super friendly and the hot chocolate is amazing. If you find yourself in the area make sure you stop here and grab yourself a Vermonter.

Stand up joint. Consistently very tasty food, wonderful people. I still haven’t had their lunch(only breakfast many times) but I’m betting its great. GETTHE B-FAST WRAP it is the perfect combo of meat cheese and egg. I swear by it. #hearts PPP

I’ve only been here once and I’m not really sure if I’d go back. Nothing was really wrong with anything it just wasn’t my cup of tea. I was expecting it to be a diner but it’s run more like a deli. My mom and I just kind of sat there confused for a few minutes until we realized we had to go up and order. LOL. I kind of wish someone behind the counter said something so we didn’t sit there for so long. Again, nothing really wrong with the place and our food was good.

OK so 5 stars. I am rounding up. :) we have been here a couple dozen times. Always on a Saturday and always for breakfast or lunch. The folks there are friendly and we love the menu, including all the creative specials. The ingredients are always fresh and high quality, and what we love is they get as much of it as possible locally. There was a time that they would get a little overwhelmed and you’d get something not quite right but that hasn’t happened in a long time. The coffee is great, the sandwiches, bread, eggs, bacon, omelettes, oatmeal, fruit — all of it is just really good ;). Service is always friendly and prompt even when they are slammed. We’ll keep going there as a group(on our bikes — we ride sometimes 30 miles to get there and won’t stop anywhere else!) as long as they are open!

The food is excellent here — loved the macaroni and potato salad! Still need to do a little work on the coffee side — barista didn’t really know what she was doing and my vanilla latte was so sweet it was undrinkable and you could tell she used sugar free syrup(even though I had not requested that). Would come back in a few months once they have worked out the kinks and give it another try. Happy to have another local place in the area that is not pretentious and specializes in the homemade!

This is an excellent lunch spot located in sleepy Pine Plains. It can get a bit busy but the food is always yummy.

Love this sunny place. We stumbled on it as we were driving through town. They have a great selection of lunch items. I hate when lunch spots sell the same old fare, so I was delighted to see a few unusual sandwiches on the menu. I went with the Turkey Berry Panini which was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend tried the Mac & cheese and loved it as well. The iced coffee was amazing, the vibe warm and friendly. Definitely stop here!

This place is DABOMB! Was literally wandering around Dutchess County today. Exploring and looking for a new place to eat. We came across the small town of Pine Plains where we found the aptly named Pine Plains Platter. The place is small with a very intimate vibe. The staff is super friendly and with me very patient since it was my first time and I wasn’t sure what to get. I ended up going with the grilled cheese with sausage and caramelized onions(weird combo that was kinda made up on the spot) and it was to die for. They offer a huge variety of food and breakfast ALLDAY since they’re so awesome. Again, the staff is super cool and this was validated by the fact that they seemed to know just about everyone who stepped foot through their doors. If you’re ever in the area and are looking for farm fresh food, made with local ingredients/produce then look no further than the Pine Plains Platter. Excellent staff, delicious food, huge portions, great vibe and reasonable prices. Can’t wait to go back. Oh, don’t forget to try the homemade, fresh squeezed lemonade. Outta this world.

This place is great for lunch. Extensive menu including breakfast all day, grass-fed beef burgers on Friday’s, and delicious sandwiches, panini, soup. I love the Baja Avocado Melt with cilantro mayo on delicious whole grain bread. What makes Pine Plains Platter special is the inventive menu coupled with all local ingredients and an inventive cook.
