Where do I start? Got there at 9:15 and was immediately informed by this tall server that they closed at 10. No warm greeting of any sort. Anyhow I said ok? We’ll be quick and he repeated himself that we close at 10 then showed us to a table. Strike 1. BEFORE even sitting down, he asks«do you know what you want??» Like give me a freaking minute to sit down and look at the menu jerk! Strike 2. At this point I decide not to disclose that I’m Vietnamese to see what what they say. Of course he starts complaining LOUDLY about us being there to another employee. Strike 3. You’re a rude dude. Game over! Horrendous server and service(He spent the rest of our dining experience talking and cackling on the phone loudly in front of us and one other table who came in after us). Dirty looking place. Food was mediocre. Will never return or recommend anyone to this terrible establishment.

I usually don’t write reviews but something happened that wanted me to give them one star. Very unhappy with the service they gave me today. Phở is okay. We were hungry so any things good. Oh well. I haven’t had this place for years wanted to give a chance. First of, my friend ordered phở with rare beef with meatballs with extra noodle and I ordered combination beef phở regular size. They gave extra noodle on combination and made a mistake. I was cool with that because server was nice enough to fix the mistake. There was a girl working with him and another girl with a child working(?) or chilling with a child.(assume she works there because she goes back to the counter). I asked the guy server for oil pepper he said ok and a girl brought me literally pepper. Which was ok because she seemed like she doesn’t speak much English. So I said thank u but can I get the oil pepper? And she walked away talking in her language. Which was still fine with me. But the problem was guy server brought me the oil pepper but meanwhile a girl who watching a child and the girl literally staring at me couple seconds straight for three four times so I asked her if she has a problem. She apparently didn’t understand. Guy server asked what happened, trying to figure out what’s going on and I told him she constant starring at me and peaking at me behind the counter. And after I said that those two girls constantly talking in her language even her kid starring at me. Obviously I didn’t enjoy the whole time I was there. And we will not be coming back and all my friends.

I have been coming here for years. It’s one of my favorite places. My son who is teenager loves it too. Big menu to choose from. The prices are low. Not the best phở, but definitely one of the top 10 in the area. This area has tons of Vietnamese restaurants. Every restaurant makes it slightly different. Décor is typical old school hole in the wall Vietnamese. The food is why I come through though.

A million years ago my friends and I ate here religiously, like 2 – 3 times a week, but since the owner sold the place and moved to Tampa, maybe 8 – 10 yrs ago?, I’ve only been back twice. Why? I believe the quality of the food declined drastically, as if they started using cheaper products. When I go now I stick to ordering something that’s safe, that they can’t mess up, like rice and something stir-fry. One of those such dishes is Chicken Stir Fried with Ginger. Sliced thin chicken is stir fried in a dark sauce with LOTS of onion. If you don’t like yellow/sweet onions, do not order this dish. Amazingly, I do like this dish. I would love it if the onion were cooked more done. The rice dishes and vermicelli bowls are decent. I’d stay away from brothy dishes, but that’s because I’m very picky with them. The service could definitely be better. Last time I ate there we were served by a very tall guy. He didn’t say hi, didn’t smile, just straight up asked what we wanted. No thank you when he brought our check and was loudly cleaning around us. The décor… oh gawd… the décor is still exactly the same as when it just opened. I see the wallpaper is starting to peel off. I don’t dare find out what the restrooms are like. Sorry, Phở Quyen, I loved you once, but I’ve grown and changed but you stayed the same, so we can’t be together anymore. :p

This place used to be good food quality went down drastically. Workers playing on their phones in dining area in front of customers. Much better Vietnamese restaurants within the area. Good reviews of this place from people that haven’t had better is an obvious reason for their rating. Gave it a chance, not coming back

This place is great. I really enjoyed my meal it had a great curry, coconut milk base to it with rice noodles. The environment was very quiet and clean. The shopping center is a little shady looking but it seems thar many of the best local restaurants are in less than ideal settings. The food here is full of flavor and extremely filling. These soup based dishes are so huge at vietnamese restaurants i only ever get through half of them and im full. I will definitely return to this place.

This is my absolute favorite Vietnamese restaurant in St Pete. I’ve eaten here a million times and I’ve never reviewed it but now that I’m moving I figured I’d leave some love. Eat the bún… The rice noodle vermicelli with the grilled pork and eggrolls… And the chicken stir fry with lemon grass and chili. SOOOOO amazing. I’m almost sad that I’m moving to a place that doesn’t have a Phở Quyen. Seriously, don’t miss eating here.

This place is OK. My family and I go here every once in a while for a few years, and this place has slowly gotten worse over time. The décor is pretty typical for an older Vietnamese restaurant, nothing special, but I’m pretty sure that is not on their priority list. Customer service here is pretty bad; very slow, servers are not attentive, and just give the vibe of they do not want to be there. Last night, while ordering the female server seemed confused of our order, when just stating the number of the order. After receiving our food, there appears to be a mix up of what was ordered, and it felt like the server was upset at us for a mistake she had made. The food was OK. I ordered Bun Bo Hue, the broth was lacking in flavor, tasted watered down. As if they had the pot of broth running low, and to stretch it out, they added more water. I wouldn’t recommend going to this restaurant, especially if its your first time at a Vietnamese restaurant. The prices are cheap but not worth the service/flavor.

We’ve always gone to this restaurant since we love Vietnamese food. We usually have a party of 8 or more so have brought a lot of business here. Everything was going well with the food and service until we were paying the check . We had separate checks and were told to go to the register and tell them what you ordered for your group(the same waiter who served us was the one checking everyone out). I proceeded to tell him what we ordered. The waiter told me the amount and he printed out a credit card slip for me to sign. He asked if I wanted a copy and I replied yes. I added a 20% tip in front of him and signed the slip . We all began to leave when my brother told me that all of our bills already had an 18% tip since we were a large group. This is where I got very angry. The same waiter saw me add gratuity to the credit card slip and NEVER informed me that tip was already included . When I asked him for the full detailed receipt he refused to give it to me and said he had to save it for his boss. I have been a restaurant General Manager for 30 yrs and have seen this trickery in the old days but didn’t expect from this place. He purposefully did not show or tell the rest of my family about the added tip . We all asked for our credit card slips and erased the extra tip . If one of my waiter staff ever did something like this he/she would be immediately terminated. We used to come here a lot but will never be back !!! Dishonesty is a sure way to kill our appetite for this restaurant.

Don’t go here. I would definitely not give it five stars because the food wasn’t good. The boba tasted too sweet and the phở was really bland. No one finsihed their food. The decoration is really mediocre at best. But! This place is really cheap and the service is alright and it was easy to find a parking spot so i’d give it three stars

Food is good, not great but price is good also. Taller Young guy at the counter was not very personable and seemed to not want to wait on people. I would still go back but he needs a lesson in customer service.

Great spot with plenty of choices. Really, really good phở, decent little egg rolls and the spicy sate chili oil that I love. The service is always friendly and attentive.

The ambience of this place is appropriately SE Asian. It’s in a nice enough suburban shopping Mall. The staff were attentive and surprisingly prompt with service considering the complexity of the order we four gave. We had phở and bunn, and everyone enjoyed their meals. I would recommend this restaurant. the food was very reasonably priced. But having said that, I would not say it compares favorably with the restaurants of this nature in San Diego or the Washington DC suburbs.

Since fellow Unilocaler PEM had never had Phở we opted on this place based on reviews to break his Phở virginity. We started with spring rolls, freshly made and very good. We both had the beef Phở, no tendons or feet thank you, and split a bahn mei on the side. IT was all very good. He was surprised at how large the serving was and I was impressed by the über fresh condiments served with it. Prices were ridiculously reasonable, service was good, fast and friendly. It’s nothng fancy, quite the family atmosphere, but darn good. We’ll definitely go back!

This place is yummy! I normally get the beef soup phở or the BBQ beef. I really enjoy eating lunch here as it’s well priced and delish! I really enjoy the iced tea which is freshly brewed! Yummy. I also love the broken rice with my BBQ beef. Definitely one place which is delish and would recommend if you’re looking for great Vietnamese food in the Pinellas park area. Definitely would recommend.

I used to come here a lot more often but Taste of Saigon has topped that as my go-to phở place. Now I’m hearing there’s another Phở place around that may be worth exploring… What is it about phở that people go crazy over for? It’s relatively simple and maybe that’s the thing. Noodles and soup, onion rings, green onion, and cilantro. I usually get the Phở Tai(rare sliced beef that cooks in the hot broth right before your eyes) — I guess I like watching it cook before my eyes and it’s chewy but lean. I also add a healthy dose of Sriracha and Hoisin. I have seen people put the Sriracha and Hoisin in a separate plate and then dip their meat into it before eating. I skip that extra plate and put the sauce straight in. Does this make me weird and nontraditional? Well I am weird and nontraditional, and proud! I am an Asian tourist in the world of Asian cuisine. Give me credit that I use chopsticks finally, lol… Anyway– scenery wise this place is in a depressing plaza and the restaurant itself is kind of depressing too. But go with good company and those things won’t matter as much. Service is not remarkable– but I don’t speak Vietnamese so we converse in limited English. I haven’t written off Phở Quyen although I know some of my Asian counterparts dislike their rudeness and inconsistency and would rather fulfill their phở craving elsewhere. But I am not done with this place just yet, either. Also– it’s so affordable!

I’ve been coming here for years with my mom and family. Coming from Vietnam herself, her option on this cuisine is of the utter importance. Food: authentic and delicious dishes ranging from rice noodles to rice dishes and the ability to try Vietnamese meats along with common varieties of beef, chicken, and shrimp. My favorite is their broken rice with beef and shrimp — the fish sauce(nuk mam — say that and you’ll marvel all with your Vietnamese skills) is perfect for dipping spring rolls and meats. Service: family owned– the staff is always pleasant and willing to adjust menu items as needed and answer any questions. Cost: can’t beat a meal of large proportions for under $ 10!
