I got another request to get some Popeye’s take-out, so I rolled the dice, a bit of a gamble, and went back to this location. The service is much improved! You can expect much less of a «who cares» Def-Comedy-Jam atmosphere here now. I had a large take-out order and it was handed to me quickly and correct(for once)! We always love the food here, it was just the horrible service that earned my previous review. The service has improved here. I am grateful and will likely return. Thanks!

It was a long day at a pool party so I wanted something quick and easy. It’s been a long time since I devoured some Popeye’s fried chicken. My boyfriend and I both got a 2 piece meal with the spicy chicken. I love the spicy chicken and wish it was just a tad spicer but the chicken was great. I got the red beans and rice as a side, my boyfriend got the dirty rice and we both decided we would have loved more of each. Neither of us were thrilled with the biscuits. Not bad but almost too greasy? I couldn’t put my finger on it but not my favorite. Spicy chicken and rice! Definitely why I love Popeye’s!

If I had to pick between Popeye’s or KFC, it’s always going to be Popeye’s. This is crispy, crunchy fried chicken with juicy flavorful meat. We got a family meal to go with Cajun fries, mashed potatoes and biscuits. I like the spicy chicken. Biscuits are really dense and you feel like you might choke on them if you don’t chew carefully lol. I dunk them in my mashed potatoes and gravy. Service was excellent. Very friendly staff and seemed like they worked well as a team. I placed my order and one of them immediately went to work getting it together while another rang me up– Yes, I went inside for a to-go order. I need time to look at the menu and don’t like feeling rushed at drive thru and/or hold other people up behind me. :) Overall, good fast food fried chicken and great service.

Location was a typical fast food place. Plastic padded booths with anchored chairs at tables. Counter with massive menu overhead and soft drink station off to the side. All the tables had just been wiped down and had a very clean(slightly) worn appearance. The place only seated approximately 20 or so people. It was not very big. Their specialty is Cajun style fried chicken. I had their«2 Piece Bonafide® Chicken» which had a leg, thigh(both spicy), biscuit and one side. The leg and thigh had the right flavor as far as being spicy and it was hot. The chicken oozed grease. The biscuit was very disappointing as it had a dry buttery flavor and was flat with no flaky fluffy texture you expect from a biscuit. For the side I had their Cajun rice which is a mixture of rice and ground beef. This was extremely bland and expected with a name like Cajun you would be able to taste the spice. Their selection of drinks was standard coke products with a southern style sweet tea. The sweet tea was so overly sweet that you could not enjoy unless you did a half un-sweet and half sweet mixture. Unfortunately, they did not offer an un-sweet option so I watered it down(with water). I am uncertain as to what it would take to get me to return. I feel like I short changed myself for choosing fast food and then down right guilty for choosing this place. If you put fast food at the low end of your dining choices I would not choose this place as it is the low end of fast food. The positive note was the dining area and restrooms were clean.

Went to get some fast food chicken because I was feeling lazy and didn’t want to get out of my car and Popeye’s sounded good. The food was OK, the service was horrible. after ordering a 5 strip box and a large red beans and rice with a rip chicken meal for my wife we sat outside the window for 35 minutes waiting for Burnout Billy and his grandmother to figure out what to do. when we finally received out food we didn’t get a straw for our drink, nor did we receive any sauce for dipping chicken into and they completely left out our rip chicken. so I get out of the car and go in, completely negating the reason I chose a fast food restaurant with a drive-thru, and went to get the rest of my food. After about 15 minutes of them trying to comprehend what I was saying, it seemed, I got my rip chicken meal. when i asked for sauce the burnout gave me one, like one tiny container was enough for 5 chicken strips and a rip chicken. so I asked for more and he handed me one more. So I turn to the grandmother and asked her if she could give me more considering the burnout apparently can’t grasp a number concept higher than one. and she just gave me a hand full so I’d go away. I won’t be returning here anytime soon, avoid if possible.
