We had dinner here last night. Very good food, lots of variety. Nice place. They seemed a little understaffed last night. One guy in the front doing everything(serving, bussing, running the cash register …). We’d go back.

Great food! Great service! They serve Blody Mary’s too. Always filled with customers, but we never have to wait, and if we do its not long at all.

The food was spot on. Super filling, big portions. I had the stuffed French toast, I was stuffed all right ;)

I am not sure how this place has over 2 stars on any rating. The service is terrible and the food was worse. I read about the salsa bar and it consisted of several store bought hot sauces(Tabasco) and some taco stand type stuff. The first attempt at ordering the server came back 10 minutes later and said they were out of what I ordered, then my second choice of was also 86’ed. My third choice was just gross(mushroom Swiss omelette) and the home fries were barely cooked through… Least to say I certainly won’t be back and I won’t cheat on Darby’s again!!!

Small quaint establishment. Went in on a Monday around 6:00PM and I was the only person in the place. Hostess/Server was very friendly and honest in her opinion of the days appetizers. I took her advice and was surprised by the size and taste of my meal. Her opinion was spot on and with asking about.

I wouldn’t have noticed this little gem if we didn’t have to drive from Lakeside to the Country Club several times over my weekend stay. After having a disappointing breakfast the first morning, my partner was looking for another joint to check out, and even before we saw the name of the restaurant we saw a big banner that said«Best Breakfast in Town.» That’s a big statement to make when you are one of many breakfast joints in a small town. The inside definitely reads small town diner. There are no walls just one open room with several booths, tables and a salsa bar. We got to choose our seat, and normally when it’s a sit anywhere type of establishment that often tells me the service is going to be impersonal, Bobbi Jo’s was not. Our server’s name was Jill(I believe) and she immediately greeted us with a smile. She was personable, made jokes, encouraged us to try out the salsas, and when we were too lazy to make the small journey to get some, she brought some to our table. The food was also really good and comforting. I ventured out of my normal element and had the chicken fried steak with hash browns and muffin. OMG! That pumpkin spice muffin was moist and flavorful. The gravy was delicious and the egg was a perfect over easy. The partner loved his omelet made with some sort of ghost pepper cheese, and of course he enjoyed smothering his potatoes in the homemade salsas. It was a bit inconvenient to have the bathrooms out of order, but definitely didn’t deter my ability to enjoy the service and food.

Worst service ever. Waited 45 minutes for our breakfast after our order was taken. Food was just ok. Should have waited in line at Darbi’s like we usually do. Even with the wait we would have eaten soon than we did at this place AND the food would have been better. HORRIBLESERVICE. We will not be back.

Tip — Where the local folks eat up here in Pinetop-Lakeside. I crave the flavor of mesquite grilled meats — and love breakfast all day — which is why I am raving about the Carne Asada(steak) and eggs breakfast, for dinner! A perfectly cooked, wonderfully seasoned skirt steak, nestled on a homemade fresh green chile sauce, served up with a mound of home fried, grilled potatoes with chopped up peppers(yum) and eggs the way you like them — with two hot fresh tortillas — to keep your other hand happy. Oh, and do take advantage of the salsa station for the heat you like to eat, my favorite was the freshly chopped pico de gallo. We were first timers to Bobbie Jo’s. Full bar, cold beer, hard liquor, home cooking, excellent service, friendly, fast, and refreshing oasis for folks near home and on the road, like us. An experience which exceeded our expectations.

Free wifi, ultra clean, very friendly, and great food! Prices are reasonable and worth it. Quiet enough atmosphere so my husband who suffers from a hearing impairment was able to converse with me snd others.

Do not sit outside! The service sucks. Sat for 20 minutes, waiters come and go and not a second look.

My wife had the green-chile chimichanga and said it was good. I had the«Philly,» which in no way resembled a cheesesteak: almost inedible. Apparently the cook has never had a real cheesesteak. The service was good. My wife would probably rate it four stars. I wouldn’t bother to rate the place. So, I settled for two stars with an explanation.

I would go back for the breakfast as it sounds very good. We were there for dinner and I had the chicken avocado salad. It was good. There was a singer that was very good who was performing there. I would like to go back to see her again! Good atmosphere and NO chain restaurant here!

I really think this place is a 2.5. I had the huevos rancheros which were the A-ok part of my decision. A huge portion with all the fixings — beans, green chiles, eggs, lettuce, cheese and tortillas. My husband had the pancakes which he said were meh and that they were missing something(and he is a pancake lover who has tried them all). The coffee, which is an essential part of breakfast was pretty terrible — watery and flavorless. The service was friendly and efficient. So overall an ok but nothing incredible experience.

Good food. The pancakes were delicious! They have a great salsa bar with a good selection. The bacon is really good but thin… I like thicker bacon… One friend had the taco salad and said it was really good. Other friend had the avocado chicken salad and it was a generous portion and she said it was great. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. Would have loved to sit on the patio but it was too cold!

Walked in late last night and was greeted by the sweetest servers ever. She brought out our drinks super quick and everyone was able to get something they were craving. They serve huge beers and the Mexican food was really good. Place was decorated cute and very clean. Great small town hospitality. We will definitely be coming back!

Visited the area for fishing. Had an excellent breakfast TWODAYSIN A ROW!!! Food was great and the staff were the best. Very friendly and welcoming, especially with our infant. Try the salsa bar. Green was the best.

Again we are up in Pinetop and went to this great place. As always the food is excellent, as is the service. The restaurant is family owned and operated. They care about everything they do. In short, this place is a keeper. In terms of the menu, they have a nice selection of food, including a number of Mexican entrees which are excellent. One of the nice things about them is that they serve breakfast all the time. Another thing is that it is extremely clean.

Great food, excellent service, nice people. Don’t be fooled by the street appearance. Very cute inside. Excellent mesquite burger. Shredded bead burrito the best. Will be regulars.

We enjoyed our lunch of a chicken avocado salad and the works breakfast with the exception of the pancakes. My love is a pancake snob and they didn’t get his approval.

10/06/2013 — Visiting family in Show Low and got up too late to beat the crowds at the usual chain places. So my family and I cruised the main street through town. We saw«Bobby Jo’s» and thought we would try it. We went inside and they told us to sit anywhere. We thought we would escape the heat from the valley and sit on the patio… it was a little chilly but still nice. I love French toast, so I thought I would try their«raspberry French toast» and a side of hash browns — well done(pictured). Our waitress mentioned that it was one of her favorites. The kids all ordered a hot chocolate. My daughter ordered the«kids French toast»(pictured) and I believe it came with eggs and bacon. I am not sure what my husband ordered, eggs and toast I’m sure. I was too busy with my yummy breakfast. But I do remembered he said that it was great. More than one of their wait staff served us(party of 5) and they were all friendly. We look forward to visiting«Bobby Jo’s» on our next visit up to the White Mountains.
