Another great float on the river. The guys working at Big Elk are really great. Gave us extra cushions to sit on and lean against in our kayaks for a more comfortable float.
Additional tip: not so much for Big Elk, but for the river itself. The weekends tend to create a very busy river with a lot of «party» floaters. If you want a relaxing float without a lot of jam ups on the river or not a lot of drunk rednecks, then go on Mon-​Fri. Its safe to take your family during the week. We hardly came across anyone on our float. It was great to feel like it was just you and the river.
