I usually eat here when I’m in town for National Guard drills. The options seem to be fresh with a nice variety. The only negative is that some of the veggies, etc seem to get«lost» during cooking and sometimes mixed with other people’s food.

Well we are from Los Angeles visiting our daughter and she recommended that we go to this restaurant and much to our surprise our experience was great. Very clean and very nice service. The concept of building your own bowl was fantastic. To be in control of all of the ingredients that you enjoy with noodles and spices you enjoy was great. We would most definitely come back on our next visit. Irwin Z

Excellent place to eat. Good service and speed, even when they’re busy. I’ve been here several times and will keep coming back. Very pleasant atmosphere. Prices for what you get are nice, no wait on refills, just all around great customer service. Food is pretty consistently done right, and you get as much as you can fit in your bowl. Only thing that keeps it from a 5 is that once in a while I get a bowl that’s been a tad bit over cooked, or they run out of cilantro. The cilantro is REALLY good. One of my go-to places to eat when I want more than fast food without paying a lot. Definitely one of the top 5 restaurants in the Pineville/Alexandria area.

We came here because someone said«You gotta try it». Well we tried it and loved it. We read a couple reviews that weren’t so great but we went anyway. 1 review said the people explained how to fix your meal and I was thinking how strange but still we went. When we got inside my mother-in-law told the waitress we had never been there so she had to explain how it all worked and she said«yes ma’am, of course» and started telling us how to fill out the rice or noodle card. Then you have to go up with your bowl and tray and put all your meats, veggies, sauces and seasonings in it. Then give it to the cook. When he is done the waitress brings you this huge bowl of food. And it’s all $ 11.95 no matter how much stuff you put in the bowl. Then if you want you can bring the rest home.

I was looking for a Gengris Grill and this is what popped up. Once inside realized quickly is was not part of major chain. The host was rude and explained nothing of how their restaurant works. They use all the same bowls and basic layout but don’t work the same. Host/waitress continued to be rude throughout getting food. Would not recommend this place to anyone and will never be back

This place was really tasty. They offer tons of options to load up in your bowl. Chicken, beef, shrimp, squid decisions decisions oh wait you can choose all of them. They also offer fresh vegetables, eight sauces, and even spices to add to your bowl. The biggest advice is don’t be shy, put as much in the bowl you can to get the absolute best bang for your buck.

Absolutely amazing. Their sauces were so good. Baba sauce and teriyaki! I would go back and eat daily if I lived here. Plenty of meat options from fish, crab, chicken, shrimp, beef and pork.

I’ve studied Chinese stir fry technique and must say they aren’t doing it right here. Concept is there, but the execution is poor. Stir fry needs very high heat to achieve«wok hei» or «taste of the wok»(charred but only lightly cooked veggies). they cooked the food too long, veggies were overcooked with no char and tofu a bit rubbery. sauce was also not an impressive bourben concoction, loaded with(i believe) high fructose syrup, a cheap alternative to hoisen and other authentic ingredients. some minor tweaking could greatly improve a nice concept in a small town.

This is now our favorite place when we are in town. Fresh ingredients, reasonable prices and great service. It is a challenge to find«healthy» restaurants in central LA and this is one of the healthier choices. Eat your veggies kids!

Food is really good. I like that you get to choose what meats and veggies you want as well as your sauce and seasonings. The beef was really tender and the shrimp tasted fresh. The vegetables were very good. There is a lot of different choices for meat, seafood, vegetables and sauces. Good selection of sauces and seasonings. You have a choice of white or brown rice, noodles, or for tortillas. I went on a Saturday night and they were very busy. I am glad we have a really good Chinese restaurant on this side of the river.

So happy this place is now open! Located in the strip mall next to Burger King, so easy to get to. Has an upbeat vibe with music to match. I was happy with the fresh ingredients(love the jalepenos & bok choy!) as well as the sauce & seasoning choices. There are plenty of meat choices for the carnivores. For those with food allergies let them know and they can guide you on what to choose. At the entrance they have a board with several suggestions for building different kinds of bowls. As per usual, the dinner choices include more seafood than lunch, but that is to be expected. They will begin serving alcohol next month, so I can have a glass of wine before long. Will definitely be back!
