My fried shrimp was nice size. Fries were hot, thin and crispy. Gumbo was pretty good. My husband said the fried catfish was bland but we’re used to south Louisiana seasoning. Will we go back.. .. Probably not.

I’m in Pineville on some unfortunate family business looking for something to eat near the hotel and Unilocal led me here. The fried catfish was delicious with a weirdly delicious slaw and fries with iced tea for about $ 10 with tip.

I’m not a sushi fan, but I heard this place was the best place in town to eat regardless. I tried the catfish, gator & shrimp combo platter. I’ve had really good Louisiana seafood & this place didn’t even come close to meeting my standards. The alligator was gamy & the catfish didn’t have a very good batter in my opinion. I can only speak on what I ordered & the food was below average.

I’ve been in pineville, la for three weeks and unfortunately I found this place late. Best spot in pineville so far. Sushi(cooked, not into raw yet) was delicious, fried shrimp platter, amazing! Shrimp alfredo awesome! Serves beer, nice clean and spacious. Before I leave, Im going to try the catfish and will update this post. The catfish was recommended by the waitress, but i havent gotten to it yet.

What a jewel in Pineville! Delicious food, clean, huge variety and amazing service! Our waitress, Eola, really made our experience great. She was very attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. We had a big group of women and EVERYONE loved their food!(That is really saying a lot because our group had some people who are hard to please!)

Very large and varied menu that ranges from burgers, po-boys, and sashimi. We all ended up with Japanese items and enjoyed them greatly. I had the unagi-don(eel) which was moist and succilent. The biggest hit was the explosion roll which was hands down the favorite. Prices were moderate and service was friendly and fast. Décor was plain outside a very interesting diarama with two deer and a gecko(?). Recommend

We had a group of six and 2 of them said«there is always good food here, sometimes you can catch the line going out the door!!!» So I grab a menu and there’s sushi this and exotic that & one of the guys yells«there’s your sushi that you’re always raving about!!!» I glanced over the sushi menu and thought…“if ms. Yanni charged the same amount, she would be owning the store, and I would be broke. I would have tried it, but when I heard«put it all on one bill, dear» I didn’t want to call Ernst & Young because there were too many inventories to sort out. So– a hamburger? One if our«other drivers» commented to the waitress–«we’re going to Taco Bell, the guys I’m with ain’t going to pay no $ 8 for a hamburger…» The waitress had an idea from his eloquent speech and fancy clothing. Maybe the experience was made better by a smaller crowd. So then I flip to the seafood page in the menu and everybody rants and raves. Most of the specials looked good if you like steak fried chicken fried steak… But I am a rebel with gout without a cause. So everything was 3 oysters and 3 shrimp, or fish & shrimp, or oysters & shrimp. Or ALLIGATOR and catfish. But no alligator, shrimp, and oysters. So I got the shrimp(3), oysters(6), and tails(crawfish-9). The salad was awesome, the oysters were like half size but didn’t taste like gutter water via silver slipper casino. The shrimp were more like prawns and the tail slid right off. Perfectly cooked. The tails were popcorn size-between a dime and a nickel. So I would stay away from them the next visit. And like ANY seafood platter they line the bottom of the plate with fries to mop up the grease instead of 2 slices of bread. I wish I could have tried the alligator, next time I would get a dozen shrimp or two orders of(6) and that would be ultimate. The oysters are good, but like drago’s in Nola by the time they finish cooking you can balance then on your index finger… The staff is nice, we enjoyed our food and from what is understand it is really consistent. That’s real hard to find on the road in central Louisiana, so kudos!- I would recommend it for a group of any size …

I have nothing but good things to say about Red River Seafood & Steakhouse. The sushi has always been good and the service has been prompt and courteous. I’ve been a customer of theirs since they opened, and I haven’t had a bad experience.

The WORST customer service EVER! ! ! ! I have been reading there twice a week for months. Their customer service has been ok but not stellar. Today I called 6 times to place a to-go order, the line was busy. I arrived at the restaurant to find the owner’s wife having a personal conversion on the phone. She would not get off the phone to place my order. A waitress came over to take my order. I than waited 30+ minutes and still no sushi. The owner’s wife refused to refund my money until it started to make a scene. Beware! Great food… amazing food, but NOT professional… worst experience! Being a loyal customer means nothing to these owners.

This restaurant opened spring of 2010. Decent location, easy access and large parking lot. Good menu and reasonable prices, both dinner and lunch. Hefty portions. Prompt, courteous waitstaff who check back often. Updated décor too. We had lunch; Shrimp Etufee and Chicken strips/lightly breaded french fries which were both very good. Nice salads or really good cole slaw. They have a sushi menu too. We both thought it was a good value and will go back to try more menu choices. Booths and open seating, probably about 75 capacity. Nice addition to Pineville eateries in the old King’s Village stripmall. Handy to Super Wal-Mart, and the Proctor and Gamble Plant.
