Enchanted Gowns

Really sad to have to write this review, as I spoke with Wendy on the phone and she seemed very nice. However, I am beyond upset about my experience. After multiple emails and phone messages she finally got back to me and we scheduled an appointment to talk about some alterations. I arrived for my appointment at the specified time and date only to find that she was not there. I hung around for twenty minutes and left her a voice mail but she didn’t answer or show up. I still have not heard from her with any sort of explanation or apology.

People bitching about this place being closed all of the time should pick up the phone. They are open BY APPOINTMENT. Wendy is fantastic. I had a bridesmaid’s dress I was busting out of the top of and they managed to let it out and add support so that I didn’t look like I belonged on Hollywood Blvd hocking my wares… :)
She is prompt for appointments, understanding the one time I was running late, and my alteration were done quickly and afford-​ably. I WILL return for future alterations as I need them. GREAT service and their staff is VERY nice. :)

Enchanted gowns is GREAT!!!
after going to about 8 bridal shops i went to Enchanted Gowns (San Pablo) and Wendy helped me find the most beautiful dress for my big day! WE SPOKE OVER THE PHONE AND I EMAILED HER IDEAS I HAD IN MIND AND ON OUR FIRST APPOINTMENT SHE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED!
FYI its helpful to give her a call before gong to the shop, she has a second shop in Sacramento that she bounces back and forth from. I also got my bridesmaids dresses with her and she is so helpful and insightful! i would definitely recommend this place!!! AMAZING

This place should go out of business based off the fact they are never open? I went a few times and they weren’t open even the days the sign said they were. How ridiculous? go here if you want to waste time. I don’t give them any stars. Close down already

Great service from Wendy! I brought my bridesmaid dress to her to get it altered. She got it done within a week and she did a Great job! Even though she’s only at this Pinole store Tuesdays and Thursdays she’s there pretty late and accommodated me when I could only make it at 6:30pm. She is super nice and keeps an open line of communication. An appointment is highly recommended because she might be able to work with your schedule if you can’t make it during regular business hours.

I found out about Wendy and Enchanted Gowns from a friend when I was planning my wedding in 2010. I bought a David’s Bridal gown for a very good price, but then when it came to getting alterations, DB’s is expensive. (pretty much the best deal you get is the gown itself… everything else is hella expensive with them afterward!) Anyway, I took my gown to Wendy. From the first moment I called to make the appointment, she was so sweet, kind, and genuine. She’s a smart lady who knows her business and really cares about how your dress will turn out. I had total confidence in her and the wonderful seamstress she employs too. You can really tell her what you want and tell her if something feels right to you or not with the alteration. Her prices are fair and the quality of work is great. She does have a busy schedule though and travels between two locations (she just opened a second shop in Sacramento), so do call beforehand to see that she’s in first. Appointments are strongly recommended.
It’s been a year since the wedding, and she still remembers who I am. I didn’t even hesitate to take my bridesmaid dress for my brother’s wedding to her when i needed an alteration just recently.
For formal wear, Wendy/​Enchanted gowns is the way to go!

Wendy at Enchanted Gowns is wonderful! Her shop is sweet and dreamy. Wendy is warm and inviting and really cared about making sure I had exactly what I wanted. I had the perfect wedding dress shopping experience that I always dreamed of. She was super knowledgeable and helped me find the perfect wedding gown for my July 4^th wedding. I needed special alterations to the beading of the dress and she made sure I received the exact dress I wanted. I would highly recommend Enchanted Gowns to any bride.

I LOVE ENCHANTED GOWNS!!! I was a bridesmaid twice, and Wendy took care of all us (including the brides) both times. The friendly service, and expertise on the fabrics and styles is A+. Which is why I chose to go to her again for MY wedding, which is coming up soon. She is good at what she does, very flexible. She will work with your budget. When I was in the 2 weddings. The alterations were very good. The 2^nd wedding I was in we had our dress custom made based on a sketch drawn by one of the Bridesmaids. Wendy and her crew followed it to the tee. My best friend (the bride) was very happy. We bridemaids were pleased too. In the first wedding, we had our dresses order, they came on time with no problem at all, and she help fix the brides dress to fit her to her liking, for she ordered her dress elsewhere. I order my wedding dress elsewhere too, and since then I’ve gained several pounds. When I took my dress to Wendy, she knew exactly what to do to make sure I can fit into this dress, and I am very excited to see the results. I am very confident that everything will go well because of the service we had in the past. There is a reason why Wendy has been in business for long long time. That store has been there every since I was little girl, and I am 30 years old now. That says a lot about a business.

Wendy is such a sweetheart! I made an appointment with her shop and she was able to accommodate me in the evening after work. Although she did not have the dress I initially contacted her about, she suggested I try on similar dresses with the same skirt and same top. I thought that was a very clever.
During our initial conversation, she mentioned that most of her dresses are size 10 – 14. Since I am size 2 or 4, she said I would swim in them and double checked to see if I wanted to go ahead with the appointment. I did.
The weekend before my appointment, I found MY dress by accident so I called Wendy to cancel my appointment. She was supportive and understanding and wished me well. She even wanted to make sure that the other shop did not overcharge me.
I am certain that our appointment would have been fun!
