I cannot remember a time that I’ve had a worse experience at ANY appointment at any doctor. Called the office to make an appointment and was halfway through the process of confirming the date and time and was put on hold. The day of the appointment I show up 10 minutes prior to my appointment. The woman at the desk was helpful, and so was her 5 year old daughter. I completed the registration and sat. TWO HOURS later u get called into the examination room. Examination room was dirty and the trash was over flowing. A woman in the next room was screaming that she had been here all day. She was arguing with the staff about the wait. I feel your pain sister. She had been here more than 5 hours according to her. As I type this, waiting to see the doctor (2 ½ hours later) I am on the search for another endocrinologist. Never again dr Fertig

The WORST run office, don’t come here thinking you’ll be out in less than 4 hours… EVER! Been here twice already and they have absolutely ZERO intent on making the appointment time. Both times, I wasn’t even taken in until 3 hours past my appointment time. Each office visit took FOUR TOTAL HOURS from sign in to departure. When speaking with the rather surly office manager regarding the fact that they seem consistently overbooked, she insists that booking fewer appointments wouldn’t have any impact on the wait. Wuh??? Clearly, she doesn’t get it. Even if this Doctor had the cure for diabetes (he doesn’t), the complete lack of respect they show for patients’ time and health is demonstrated the moment you walk into the office and see every chair filled, elderly people standing, and a beleaguered look the the face of everyone who just needs to see a Doctor. Shame on you, Dr Fertig – you are greedy and that’s why your patients wait so long. What’s worse is that this policy is applied in an arbitrary manner: one woman came in complaining that she had to get her kid from school and appears to have been quietly handled in front of everyone else. If you scheduled fewer appointments, people would wait LESS time… But that wouldn’t be as profitable for you, would it?

Dr. Fertig seemed more interested in talking about his intellectual and academic achievements than actually giving me useful information. He was noticeably taken back when I refused the third offer of a copy of a paper he wrote (took the first two). Sorry doc, I need treatment and medical information, not bluster. When I asked my big question for the third time after not getting a straight answer the first two, he said he didn’t know and walked out of the room. I take it his doctorate is in «advanced guesswork». Staying with Dr. Kanj.
