Tried this place as other joints in the area were closed on Monday. I ordered the pav bhaji. It was microwaved and served. I returned the first serving as the bhaji was watery. The second turned out to be the same. The is shd have been the cue for me and I shd have left. However, i decided to buy some cakes for my kids. Mistake! Except for the pineapple, black forrest and chocolate cakes were dry. Its back to Hot Breads for me.

We recently ordered a Gender Reveling cake and the chef made it exactly as we needed. The flavor, design and texture were all excellent. The cake was very very fresh too. We all loved the cake. It was a big hit in the surprise party. we would definitely order again from them.

Food is good but if you have to go to a place just to meet rude people, it would be bad. Though was a regular, went to this place at 9:25PM a few months back and took a Chicken Tikka Puff and asked to heat it(which would take 30 seconds). The waiter said he can’t as the store will close at 9:30 and it is not busy either. I asked for their Owner’s number which he refused to give. There isn’t a suggestion box either. I didn’t want to come online and post a bad review… instead called them again and said there is a big party regarding which I want to speak to the owner. Got it and explained them what happened and asked them to take care. Went here yesterday to experience the same rude behavior… the same waiter is talking on his cell and taking my order… and when told it’s not the way, he was saying it’s an important call. It would be up to the owner how they want to take things… but I wouldn’t be returning.

Recently ordered a custom cake in the shape of a cricket bat, it was amazing! The design and decoration were beyond what I had expected, and the best part was they didn’t use any fondant! The cake itself was delicious and we finished it within minutes, only a few of the children were able to get seconds. Misha was really helpful with placing the order and making sure everything was perfect. Can’t wait for the next birthday cake from here!

Pros– –food price is okay –location is decent Cons –for New Jersey where there are so many indian restaurants, the food is below average –bhel was dry and less salt(how hard is it to make Bhel?) –vada Pav was below average –samosa chaat just had 1samosa –service is slow –no one cleans the tables

This is my usual take out food on weekends. The chats, Vada Pav, paneer tikka bowl and paneer tikka panini and very close to authentic indian standards. No fancy seating though and one has to be prepared to wait 10 minutes min for the takeout. But I would say this place is highly underrated for its taste!

The concept of this place is great. There aren’t many Indian snack food places around here. The food here is okay, however, they usually run out of certain bakery items early in the day. Its a bit ridiculous. My boyfriend and I really like the egg puffs there, however, the last 3 times we went, they were all gone. I won’t be returning here since the place is so I consistent. Additionally, when we go there, the service is so bad. The people at the counter are really rude. They clearly don’t want to be there and it makes me not want to be there either. Good concept, decent food, terrible service, frequently run out of different kinds of food.

I love going to this place for a relaxing, quick, tasty lunch. The spices that they use in the food are delicious. The service is also friendly and helpful. –American who loves Indian food! :-)

Good place, always crowded with min 10 minutes wait time for food. Small place, not fancy but good food. I had tried their Idli, dosa, south indian platter, pao bhaji, pasteries. All were good. For Chola bhathura, chole were good but bhathura was like big poori. Except for their waiting time which sometimes go well past 20 – 25 minutes, I liked the place.

The only reason I am giving it a one star is coz of my experience here. The place has really good chat options and i loved the vada pav i had over here. however the problem was with the fruit pastries I ordered. the decorated the damn thing with kiwis that hadn’t been peeled. while eating the pastries I noticed it and got a little skeptical. I didnt eat the kiwi but. hello! pollen from the unwashed fruit could have easily been on the pastery. in a couple of minutes after eating it I had an allergy attack and had hives and what not. Had i not noticed it or fed it to my two year old it would have been really hard to figure out if and hows for the allergy attack and take a timely benadryl dose. So yeah, I wont sure as hell be going here again!

Good snacks for takeout. They are not consistent in taste though. Most of the time I had a good experience. Except that once the sandwiches were so HOT… Butter scotch pastries are awesome. You can treat ur guests with their snacks.

Savory jerks l items are better than sweets. On a plus side though, this is the only place one can get egg less vegetarian cakes.

Avoid this place… This place does not serve fresh food… We ordered food to go which included pav bhaji. When opened it was frozen cold. We confronted them asking why is it cold. They said sometimes they serve frozen food. But this is really fooling customer serving left overs from previous day which will upset their stomach… They also asked us to warm the food in microwave, which means they do not care if people eat spoiled food. I had guest over my place which was embarrassing for us. I will ask my friends not to use this place and never go their… Unilocal doesn’t have negative stars that I can use to mark them.

I m giving it 2 star because of a terrible employee there, his name is Bobby, unfriendly and rude guy. Otherwise the food is pretty good.

I am a once-in-a-couple-of-weeks regular here. Their pastries, cakes, cookies, bread are very good. I have tried most of the items on their menu, but I am a real fan of their Tikki Club Sandwich and the Chicken Tikka Panini on Masala bread. They’ve recently started South Indian snacks(Dosa, Uthappams, etc), but I havent tried them yet. Their green chutney-yogurt combination is simply amazing. My main grouse about them is that they seem to run out of food sometimes. I was turned away at least 4 times in the last year-and-half because«they could not take any more orders». This generally happens on weekends, so call ahead. Also, the staff keeps changing every now and then, so consistency is an issue here. But not that big an issue that it prevents me from being a once-in-a-couple-of-weeks regular here ;-)

I pass by this place every week to go to the train station and had been meaning to finally sample it. The menu is really exciting: paneer paninis, potato club sandwiches. It’s a very simple but high concept quickservice café for people who love these kinds of flavors. They also have a huge bakery counter with breads stuffed with veggies/meats/paneer, cakes, etc. However, I did not enjoy what I had. The man at the counter was very rude and didn’t listen to us, asking us repeatedly as he cooked what we wanted. He was also just very forceful about what we should choose from the bakery case. The sandwich I had, which was a paneer panini — was super inedible. It had really weird toppings like raw onions/tomatoes that just didn’t take good and the bread was also really gross. I think it was a poorly planned sandwich, and for $ 7, it comes with a little bag of Utz chips. The cake we had, which was pistachio flavored, was way too sweet. The paneer puff pastry had old stale paneer inside of it. The concept of the place is great but the food isn’t very delicious or worth your money.
